Made an appointment and during the whole hour and a half process I was the only customer in the shop. She did an awesome job of copying the design and shape that I wanted. There were a couple problems that I ran into, though. First of all, she noticed that my middle fingers were different lengths, and asked me if I wanted them the same length. I said yes, but she somehow forgot, and left me with one nail longer than the other. the other problem is one of my nails broke off two days after I got it done. I drove from downtown Spokane to The Valley to check this place out and I am so glad I did. The staff is super friendly the nail salon itself is clean which is probably the most important thing for me. I got a gel mani and pedi and I got chrome which was 10 extra. The standard pedicure is 22 dollars and if you add gel and the chrome it is 25 dollars extra total= $45( $10 for the chrome and $15 for the gel). A little bit pricey but recommend trying the chrome ! My regular nail salon was unfortunately busy and I needed my nails done as I had the afternoon off work. I went to Hot Nails. From the very beginning when I walked in, I felt like there was some stress or bad vibes (should have been a red flag). She sat me in the #1 chair. I selected my color and I told her my nails were acrylic. She questioned me, saying my nails were not acrylic, she argued they were gel (?) She took off my old polish and realized they were acrylic. Then as she was prepping my nails she kept pushing my hand back, then pulling them forward like she was angry I wasn't holding my hand exactly as she wanted it. She kept sighing and grunting like she was angry. She burned my cuticles 3 separate times my thumb was bleeding and my nail bed got super hot several times, with zero apologies! I became nervous as she kept going, I wanted my nails fairly short and she was frustrated with that as well. Then another client came in, she was wanting tips as her nails were down to the quick, and the nail tech told her no, so that client walked out. I was hoping for cute Valentine's Day nails, maybe a couple of hearts... but after the treatment I received I could not wait to leave. When she put cuticle oil on my nails my thumb was bleeding and she brushed right over the top of it...I don't have any disease etc...but this is a total health violation!!On a good note the color was good and she did a good job on length after her reluctance. Professionalism, Punctuality and Rude I had a terrible car accident that damaged my left foot and after surgery I was cleared by my doctor to go to get my toenails trimmed and painted. The lady who helped me kept pushing my foot down and talked hateful to me and kept asking why I was not "relaxing" and she kept pushing down on my foot and looking at me hatefully. I had explained that I had three metal rods in my foot from surgery and I might as well talked to the wall! My first mistake was going somewhere with no English speaking employees and trusting good reviews online. She was so rude and hateful to say the least it brought tears when she kept pushing my foot down after I asked her not to.. I would DISCOURAGE anyone with foot problems or anyone who likes to be treated with kindness and professionalism to go to this place. read more

Cliff notes version I came her for a gel manicure & pedicure, the manicure was a one star performance & the pedicure was a two star performance. The entire process was rushed & the manicure was very sloppy with polish left around my finger nails. I went to Hot Nails for a fill, which I was told was $35 with gel polish. I gave Natalie a photo of what I wanted done. She said it would be $35. I was burned multiple times, in excess of five, with the Dremel. It was a very rough manicure. They didn't have the glitter that I wanted (a very common glitter) so I chose a smaller grain glitter. After the base color was put on, Natalie asked me a lot of questions about exactly how I wanted the glitter on my nails. I kept referring to the photo and saying exactly like this. At no time did Natalie ever tell me that it was going to be an extra five dollars because I had the glitter on predominantly half of my nail. After I was done she said the bill was 40 bucks because it's harder to put the glitter on half the nail instead of evenly over the whole nail. I've never had anyone charge me as nail art for simply putting glitter on my nails. She had several times that she could've told me in advance of the extra charge but she never did. I know that other people complain about secret charges that you only find out at the end of the service. I'm so mad at myself for agreeing to pay it and tipping her on the 40 bucks. I should have tipped her on the 35 and she could've taken her five dollar up charge out of there. Never mind, they will never get my business again. It's a complete shakedown joint and they are rough as hell on your nails. read more

He sat and argued with me about the length of my nail and did not listen. He then had a coworker come and fix the length and the shape. He then started painting my nails and I had asked if he could do marble on my ring finger, which he said he could do. He was wrong. He stared the marble design and had to stop and ask another coworker to come and help him. I was so upset already I was just ready to leave at that point. I won't recommend nor go back. I don't normally do reviews, but was so disgusted and angry that I felt I had to write one about this place. I brought my 83 year old mom here for a pedi and 93 year old friend here for a mani. We had an appointment, but had to wait 20 minutes. Tjey seated myself and my mom at the pedi chair and friend was left sitting, waiting. When they took her back and sat her at a table and left her there for 30 minutes and left my mom for 30 minutes as well. My friend fell asleep at the table, while they took 4 more clients. First, she was very short with me on the phone. Very hard to understand what she was saying especially with a mask on. One of the absolute worst nail jobs I have ever had. Gaps between the nail and acrylic, tips glued on tilting up, crooked and different lengths. In such a hurry to get done that quality doesn't even count anymore. Lied too, dirty equipment! I walked in when they opened in the morning and asked for Natalie, who had some cool nail art pictured here on Yelp. The girl that was there said "We have nobody with that name that works here" so I sat down for her to do my nails. She started to remove my old shellac and brought out a bag of previous used tin foil that must have been used on other people before. GROSS! I asked her to use new ones, and she pretended she didn't understand me. Just then another nail tech came into the shop, who happened to be the one I was looking for. I told them I wanted Natalie to do my nails, and the two of them started arguing and yelling at each other. It was so embarrassing, rude and unprofessional! I walked out and will never go back. Too many other professionals places around here to deal with that. read more

They up charge and do services without asking. They charged me $30 for a gel polish on a 10 year old. They don't even make sure that it is perfect when they charge so much. They should clear with the adult the price is it going to be. I will not be returning :( read more

So annoying, what's the point of making an appointment if they are not going to see you at that time. The woman who actually did my mani/pedi was very sweet. When I walked in I asked if they took credit cards and the guy there said "if you don't have anything else." It's 2014. I don't have anyhow else. While the actual work was good and my nails look great it was easily the shortest massage I've ever received during a manicure and pedicure. One of use wanted nails done with a design but was told there wasn't enough time. When her nails were bring trimmed she was cut on two of her fingers. I did tell the staff and they were apologetic. I wish I could give negative stars. Definitely the worst experience at a nail salon I've ever had. When first walking in my friend and I got yelled at for looking at the wrong colors. As we walked over to sit down, my friend slipped and fell due to the fact that there was an inch of standing water and no caution wet floor sign. The other people who watched this happen seemed to care more than the employees. Then they proceeded to put up the sign after she had already fallen. As we told them that we went to another place before to get our acrylics on, they laughed and laughed at the shape of our nails, even though they looked much better before they got their grimy hands on them. This process took much longer than it should have and all of my nails are uneven and look like shit now. The tops of my nails are not flat and either uneven or slanted on every nail. The painting on the nails is also uneven and splotchy. Anyways I will never come here again, the employees are rude and have no respect and do a shitty job at nails.
