Show up to get nails done (no appointment) and was told I could get right in. Someone starts on my nails rushing through didn't say two words to me then I guess she had a standing appointment so when the other person arrived she told me to go sit in chairs and wait then another lady gets done with her client and gets me to finish nails. Have to go through what I want done again she continues to get up to take payment and answer phone. I will not be returning. I don't expect amazing customer service at these quick nail places but just a little would be nice. read more

I'm leaving 5 stars here because I've been coming to this shop since I was in high school, so probably about close to 8-10 years now, and I've never had a bad customer service experience. They are always nice to me, always treat me with respect, they always except a walk in, even if their busy. As long as your willing to wait, they are willing to work. I've been here once for a pedicure because it's close to my apartment. I asked for a gel pedicure but got a regular pedicure instead. there was a lot of miscommunication with the lady who did my nails due to a language barrier. I ultimately got home with smudges on my toenails even tho I was told they would be dry after I had sat for another 30-45 minutes. It saddens me to leave a bad review, but 3 strikes and you're out. The last 2 visits were the worst. I thought that maybe it's just a hit-n-miss thing, and I'm getting the lesser experienced people. I went in for a 1/2 leg wax - the girl was very nice, but the wax was WAY too hot, and she burned me! Then, she started BLOWING on the wax to cool it down! AND, she double dipped the same sick in the wax pot. Ugh. I stopped the service when she had only done 3 strips on one leg (and THAT for my SAFETY). I've NEVER done that. She still charged me for one leg! Unbelievable. I decided several months later to give it one more try for a pedicure. The girl CUT my skin on my big toe, right at the edge where she was filing. She kept wiping over it with cotton and the water from the bowl. She spoke no English, but I'm pretty sure "OW!" is universal! I allowed her to just finish off the rest of the pedi, and to her credit, she was careful not to touch that toe anymore. I had her skip the alcohol (obviously) since I dislike torture. I had to forego having her put on my nail polish. She still charged me full price. I usually tip 25-30% for services, but in this case I gave her a dollar for the very short massage. My toe is still throbbing as I write this. I'll have to wait a good week before going SOMEWHERE to have an ACTUAL pedicure (with color and everything -eye roll). Not happy! Came in on my lunch hour for a mani/pedi. Was seated right away and my pedi was started. The woman who did my nails seemed nice enough but did not speak any English. No problem for me...except for the fact that she couldn't tell me what she needed me to do and yanked my foot around whenever she needed me to move. When she filed my toes it felt like she was taking off half my skin. The pedi looked decent enough but by the time she got done my lunch hour was almost over and there was no time for the manicure so I left with ugly hands! I won't be back! 3 words. Rhymes with cursed. Worst pedicure ever. My friend had been here before and found it reasonable and feels it might have been ok if we'd stuck with the basic rather than the deluxe. A week later, I disagree. 1. Massage was about 2 minutes and umm. Not really a massage. More like having a bunch of misquitos slapped off you. 2. before I even left the polish just wiped right off - not even smudeged - clean off. My friend had it happen to her too about 1 hour later. 3. Two nails needed to be cut when I got home. 4. Another nail chipped 2 days later 5. One week later the ends are rubbed off on 3 and 2 more are chipped. And for this I paid more than I'd ever paid for a pedi in the Bay Area. read more

I loved my pedi and mani! Very affordable I only paid $30 for both! It was quick I was there for about an hour and 15 min for drying time and all. The thing I really liked was seeing that they actually clean the foot baths between customers so many nail salons don't take the time to do that and it has prevented me from getting pedis and manis in the past. All the tools were taken from sterile packaging. So I WASN'T thinking the whole time about infections and fungus! Joe did a great job! I have been getting my nails done for years. I've had gel nails, acrylic nails, tips, scuplured, you name it. I am also very picky and kinda OCD about how my nails look and feel. I have been going to Anna's now for several months. My personal experience is that Anna, Anthony and their staff are very kind, professional and compassionate. I have never felt uncomfortable there or unsatisfied with my service. I have also had my eybrows done and Anna is gentle and amazing. I was so impressed with them that I began taking my Mom and Dad there as well (they're in their 70's) for monthly deluxe mani's and pedi's. They as well couldn't be happier. I encourage you to go see them and try out how nice it is to be able to walk in most times (they do take appointments as well) have your nails, toes, or waxing done quickly and professionally and be completely happy when you leave. I just had a terrible experience at this place. They close at 7 o'clock and I walked in the door at 5 o'clock. Of the five employees, one was actually working on a woman with a pedicure and the other four were all sitting on their phones. I had to actually walk well into the salon to try to get someone to even answer my question. I asked if I could have my shellac polish removed from my fingernails. The one woman who answered me was nice enough. I told her that I would get a manicure and a pedicure if two of them were willing to do the work at the same time because I only had 30 to 40 minutes. No one else even looked up and this girl told me it would take at least an hour to do a manicure and a pedicure. I told her I was fine just having the shellac polish removed. Once we sat down, she let me know it would be $10 to remove my polish! I've never paid this much to have shellac removed. She then told me they only accept cash for any amount under $20. I only had my credit card so I ended up having to buy a gift certificate for more than $20 just to have the service done! The whole experience was kind of crazy. OMG Nails and Natalie Nails are much friendlier, more accommodating and less money. I will not be back to this nail salon. read more

Horrible. This place is busy, so maybe some of the other technicians were better than the one that did my nails. His name was Anthony, he did a sloppy, streaky job , was a little rough and wouldn't own up to a mistake on their part. Mismatched sample nail colors to actual nail polish color... the color on the chart did NOt match to what was actually painted onto my nails. When I told him about the color not being what I initially chose, he argued that it was the same and even when I brought my nail up to the sample nail he said that since my nail is pink it changes the color of it.The color I wanted looked white ...the color I got was pink, like a french manicure pink. He did not want to redo, seemed like too much trouble for them to have a happy customer, so then he said they would charge me for it if I still wanted to change the color. My fault for mentioning it after they were done, yes its true, but such a disappointment when I ,as a customer, feel like I wasted my money on not only a terribly done manicure but in a color that was drastically different then portrayed. Just be veerryyy specific and vigilant while your nails are being done...I'm going to go paint over this horrible gel color and hope it looks better. read more

They don't stand behind their products or service. I went in a week ago and got french gel nails done with bright pink tips. I sat with a friend the entire time and talked about the vacation I was taking to Hawaii the following morning. Two days into my vacation my tips faded to white, so it looked like I have a regular french manicure. Most of the time I was in Hawaii I stayed in the shade, but I was in the sun while snorkeling, and a short time one afternoon at the pool. When I got back I went into the shop and asked them to fix my nails. First Anna tried to tell me I picked this white color. When I inisited that I'd selected a bright pink color she asked me what I'd like her to do and I asked if she'd fix it in what ever way she thought best. She had me sit down and had another technician file all the gel off my nails and then Anna comes back and says she can't fix my nails without charging me because it's been a week. They have a sign in their shop that states that gel nails last for 2 weeks. She then tried to blame all the time I spent in the sun (very little, I burn too easily) or maybe my suntan lotion. If gel nails are this easily ruined, then they should warn their customers not to use it for vacation. I told her I was very disappointed and would be posting a negative review and she told me "We dont' even care!" I will never go there again and will make sure all my friends and neighbors know how bad their service was. Try OMG nails, they are cleaner, nicer, and do a better job. read more
