I went in super excited as it was my first time getting my nails done. I got Gel X with a polka dot design, a pedicure, and my mom got a manicure. The Gel X was disappointing. They started the nail way to high up, so a week later they look like they are several weeks old, when I left they already had look grown out. The pedicure was good, but for the $50 spa one that advertises calluse removal you think you would've actually removed mine. The pedicure went well. This was my first time at this nail salon. The ladies working there barely spoke to me more than a few words and were curt and rude in their responses. They spoke their language, which I'm assuming is Vietnamese to each other the entire time they were doing mine and two other ladies nails. I was charged $25 to get gel taken off and get a manicure and she didn't even give me a hand massage or anything. She rubbed a little bit of lotion on the top of my hand and that was it. I wanted the red almond nails and that's what he gave me but I wanted the middle of the red to be closer to the top and i told the guy that and he said ok and then proceeded to do it the same exact way that he did before. And the half circle lines are really jagaed and messed up and a couple of my nails are bumpy and I called them afterwards and said I wanted my money back and they said ok we will give you your money back if you come back and I went back and they just complained about it to me. I've been to this place a few times. The people who work there, so so nice! The women are very sweet but more than half time time I've came and made "an appointment" I'm left waiting about 30 min till I get to sit in a chair. Kinda expect it now but today it took me two hours for a basic pedicure. I made an appointment at 12, didn't get to a chair till 1 and she started working on my pedicure to leave and work on someone else who just came in and I didn't leave till 1:50... I'm not blaming the women but more so how things are ran. I understand places get busy but when I called to make the appointment and asked if they had time today the man said yes and he had time at 12. I would if rather taken a no since they were so busy. The nail tech did not disclose this prior either. In addition my daughter showed her a specific design and she just painted the whole nail one color instead. Also upon paying the tech charged an extra $10. This was brought to their attention and it was played off "oh she's trying to get extra money from you". Very unprofessional. Very nice deluxe pedicure. I enjoyed The massage on my legs and feet and the paraffin wax and exfoliating and callus remover left my feet feeling extremely soft. The only downside was that not all of the buttons on the massage chair worked so I had to use the same massage over and over instead of getting all of my back massages. It was just annoying because I sat there through three cycles. Also they have curtains up in between each client and station. Shower curtains. And they did not seem like they had been wiped down as well as they should be if they are to serve their intended purpose. You don't come close to the ones on the sides of you but the ones by your feet are able to touch you at some point if they do not hold them back. read more

Upon entering I wasn't greeted but stared at after a long pause the employee said "what did I need?" I found both the tone and energy to scream ghetto rather than professional. I was so pumped at the thought of getting my nails done I ignored the poor business display and simply answered the question to which I was met with a hand gesture to walk to the back of the salon for a gel acrylic. I hadn't stated if that was what I wanted but decided that I'd tell the technician what it was I was seeking. As I began to walk towards the back the employee who was talking loudly yelled to the other in the back to which the woman responded that she isn't doing anything for me. That's when I was told that they close at 6:00 pm and they do not do nails after that time. If this was to be true then state that honestly on your business but my guess is that it wasn't. According to this nail salon, walk-ins are welcomed. Now stated on the door, business card, and Yelp account states Mon-Fri 9:30 am-7:00 pm. But according to the salon employee they close at 6:00 pm. Stopped by for a full set because I had just driven up from out-of-state and had some time to kill, They got me in right away BUT the nail tech didn't listen to a word I said, and I swear each and every one of my nails is a different shape and thickness. Yes, I was specific, yes I was clear. One of my pointer finger nails is completely crooked! And, to top it off, I now have infections developing in almost ALL my fingers - HORRIFIC! I called for an appointment to have my gel polish removed same-day, showed up to a line of 2 more people with only 2 nail techs. They assigned someone to me, but she was rushed and started ripping off my gel polish without even asking prior if I wanted to soak them instead. The first nail (pinky) hurt so bad I gasped and cringed...and only after the third I couldn't help but hyperventilate from pain - no wonder, she ripped the nail halfway down my nail bed and didn't think anything of it. Only at that point did she offer me the option to take the more "time consuming" route of soaking the gel off my nails. The photo doesn't do it justice, my nails have blood veins from being ripped off... I've had gel polish on and off since 2011, and I know from experience it should NEVER be this painful. Called 45 minutes ago to see if they can accommodate a gel manicure (myself) and pedicure (my mom). They told me 15-20 minutes. Arrived in less than 10 minutes and have been waiting for 35. I'll let you know if it gets better... Update: after waiting over an hour (when I was told it would be a 15-20 minute wait), I can report that the gel manicure was NOT worth the wait. It took about 25 minutes. Disclaimer: while I grew up in N. Idaho, I and spend time here every summer with family, I've been a Californian for 20 years. There are things that are not allowed under California cosmetology licenses that are evidently okay here. There are 4 state of Idaho cosmetology licenses posted on the wall. 6 people are working today... So 1/3 of their workforce is unlicensed. In California nail techs are not allowed to use the powered sanding machine on bare nail, let alone the cuticle. Here that is evidently standard practice. Yep, instead of oiling and nipping cuticles with a sterilized tool, they sanded my nail AND CUTICLE with a machine that has seen who knows how many hundreds of cuticles without ever being cleaned. I will have to oil my cuticles when I get home because it wasn't done here and they are extremely dry - even more so than when I arrived. The hand massage was great for the 30 seconds it lasted per hand. Although with the pea sized amount of moisturizer she used on my normally dry skin it would have felt like sandpaper within seconds. The painting of the nails - I assume the light is timed for 60 seconds because that's how long it takes the polish to cure. Mine were under for 20-35 seconds each layer. There are ridges at the cuticles (which from prior experience I know will make the gel lift within a week) and polish on the tips of 4 of my nails. See pictures. I tried reading yelp reviews before choosing a nail salon to go to but most nail salons have hardly any reviews so I bumped into this one while out and about and decided to give it a try. I walked into the salon and they took me right away. I had a pedicure first. Which was just fine. At the end The girl who did my pedicure told a guy she was almost done and he would do my fill. He then went outside smoked a cigarette and came back in right as I sat down to his table. I couldn't breathe. I told him the smoke was really bothering me and all he said was Sorry. I tried to sit there and couldn't. I said I would come back another time and then a young girl offered to have someone else do my nails. I spoke with her while I waited for the other nail tech to become available. She was the highlight of my visit. Super sweet girl. So after a few minutes the tech sat down. I explained to her that I just moved her from SF, CA. I have been getting my nails done forever. I have a shape I like and getting the shape is the most important to me. I explained what I liked and she said no problem, easy and started. She hit my cuticles multiple times. And barely filed my nails. She kept rounding them when I already explained to her I wanted blunt and narrow. She then handed me the file and picked up her phone and started texting. Really? Do I get a discount for filing my own nails? ( no I didn't) I got home and one of my nails broke instantly, I glued it back on ratchet style cause I didn't want to go back there to get it fixed. read more

I tend to have mixed feelings about these Asian nail salons that we have in town. Granted, this nail salon is better than most that I've ventured to in North Idaho. Their gel manicures are pretty decently priced at $30 and seem to last like they are supposed to. The acrylic services here are hit and miss and how nice they will turn out depends on who you get to do them. The main owner of the store is this nice guy who does a fantastic job on your acrylics. But when I went in for my fill, I was stuck with a lady who did a horrible job and the fill wasn't even worth the money. She left horrible air bubbles in 5 out of 10 nails and they ended up coming off within the week. The pedicures that I've received there also depend on who you get as your tech. They accept walk ins as well as appointments. I've had good and bad experiences with both so it's your choice. I've walked in and out with amazing nails in 45 min, and then I've made an appointment and waited 45 min to an hour after my appointment time for them to even start. It's your choice. read more
