I love supporting small local businesses. The location Hops n Drops is in is great and as a Broomfield resident, I would love to see more fun and casual places like this open up. The restaurant itself is clean and welcoming with a large bar area. I've only been here twice for lunch, but 4-stars seem like a fair rating for both my experiences combined. Service and kitchen can be slow which can happen during lunch rush hour. While it's slow, they're very nice and attentive to your needs. I've noticed that all the servers help each other out by refilling the drinks for others server's tables which is great to see! You definitely won't get ignored here. I've had fish and chips which was good. The batter on the fish actually stayed on and was crispy. I had lunch here for the second time yesterday with my co-workers and ordered the Steak Salad. For $16, I was extremely disappointed! It looked like broken down hamburger meat which was not appetizing at all. For the manager and owner, I'd highly recommend that you do research on how steak salads are presented and served at restaurants in the surrounding area. We must have had 3 employees in company shirts walk by us to get out the front door as they 2 servers that where still on where running around like chickens with there heads cut off. We finally got seated by an employee that was leaving that put his bag down (as he should have) and took us to a table. Needed a place to go grab a bite and watch the game. Came in and was greeted and was sat right away. It was steady, but not busy. Everyone from our waitress to the manager was AWSOME. I asked to see if they could turn my game on and not only did they do it right away, the manager came over to make sure that I knew that they got the game on for me. Now for the food. We got the sriracha shrimp for an appetizer and they were amazing. They were almost a meal themselves. For dinner my wife got the fiesta Mac and I got the BBQ Mac. We highly recommend both of these. This is a nice clean place with a good large menu and good drink list. Wifey had the Buffalo chicken wrap which was good. I had the French dip which was really big in size but the beef quality seemed more like Arbys. It wasn't bad but also wasn't great and pretty expensive. IMHO the drinks were okay but also expensive. Our server was okay until the end when she just dropped off the bill and said thank you without asking us if we were done or wanted anything else. However, there was someone assisting the server and she was great! I would have given another star if the server had been more friendly. Love Hops n Drops! My son Brooks and I came in this last Friday 10/2/2020 and were blown away with how good the food and service was. Mike and Manny made us feel right at home. Mike informed me of this Black IPA he recently brought in and wow was that good! Brooks loved the mac and cheese and I ordered the Coconut Shrimp. When the Coconut Shrimp hit the table, it was well worth the price. 13 nice plump shrimp that were freshly hand battered, tossed and fried. What a great lunch! Mike was also very mindful of the safety procedures and of those walking about the restaurant. He made sure they were wearing masks and even supplied extras when needed. Talk about a good feeling. We returned this Friday 10/9/20 for lunch and were delighted to see Manny and Mike again who greeted us like friends and welcomed us in. We ordered Chicken tenders for Brooks and once again I could tell they were freshly prepared and were very good! The Black IPA was as fresh as ever and I decided then...Brooks and and I have found our Friday lunch spot. And get this...my fiancee (at work) knew we were here and made me order her a Drop Cocktail to go! Made fresh and sealed tight ready to be poured over ice for her own little happy hour. We are up here for hockey and found this place on Yelp. It was amazing!!! Great atmosphere, food and drinks! We had potato nachos, rib tips and wings. It was such incredible food for 'bar food'! I had a dirty martini- and although not on the menu it was perfect! Table had jalapeño cream cheese stuffed burger (phenomenal!!!!), shrimp pizza boy (good, but not saucy enough), French onion soup- the flavor was incredible- would have that even without the cheese! Had a bad experience with a gluten free bun on my first visit which would've rendered a one or two star review. BUT I went back and ordered their street tacos instead and let me tell you they are better than what you'd get at many Mexican restaurants. I found this restaurant through a quick Google Maps search while starting for business at the Omni Interlocken. I checked out the menu online and thought it was rather lengthy but everything looked tasty and they have local craft beer so I decided why not check them out. I was pleasantly surprised. I was seated at the bar in accordance with Covid-19 rules for Colorado 6 feet from the taps. The amazing bar tender Nira welcomed me helped me choose a beer by providing me with a few samples of beers I might like. I ordered the street tacos off the happy hour menu. They were awesome. Went in for lunch today. We got the IPA which was really good. I'm a little picky with my beers and it exceeded expectations. We both loved our food. Found this gem about a year ago and am very glad I did. On weekends they serve breakfast in the morning which is pretty tasty. Their smashed potatoes are a must try! Lunch and dinner is good also. French dip, buffalo chicken wrap and burgers are all great. French fries are amazing. If you're looking for a drink to try, any of their signature drops are good. My favorite is the white gummy bear. I've given this place four tries. Three out of the four have been fair to not good experiences. I'll start with the good things: the burgers/chicken sandwiches are pretty consistently decent and the lemon drop is delightful. Other than that, the salads are disappointing, the nachos are downright sad, and for $15 an absolute rip off, since they are pretty small and hardly any toppings, just mostly a few black beans, corn, olives and hardly any cheese microwaved together with guacamole and sour cream thrown on the top. We ordered the chicken nachos and there was not a single piece of chicken, and our waitress even double checked our order says "you guys wanted the chicken nachos, right?". The French fries are gross, might as well stick to the fruit salad (also pretty sad) as your side. Service was pretty bad as well, and not just our server, but the front of house staff seemed unorganized and in need of some concept of time urgency. Food runners seem to not know the menu also, as one thought my chicken sandwich was an egg! After four solid tries, I will not be coming back to Hops n Drops. Too bad, since it seems like a fun place and Broomfield is lacking some good, new and fun restaurants- but this place is not it :(. read more

Love love love! We just moved about 2 minutes from this place so decided to check it out for dinner. Didn't know what to expect, but was totally blown away. First off, our server (I wish I remembered her name) was amazing. Even though they were short staffed and she was serving almost the entire restaurant, she still took her time to give us so many good recommendations and be patient with us as we had so many questions about the massive menu. She was so friendly and sweet, we just loved her. Second off, the food and drinks are incredible. Their "drips" are their specialty cocktails served in an ice glass so the drinks never get watered down. All cocktails can be infused with fresh fruit which I was so excited about because I assumed it would just be some fake fruit flavored syrup. There are so many yummy options on the menu, and it's pretty diverse. And all of their food is cooked fresh to order and sourced locally (if I remember correctly). It definitely tasted like it. All of us were so happy with our drinks and meals. And our incredible server just made the whole experience so memorable. I'm so glad this place is practically walking distance. I cannot wait to go back for happy hour. We will become regulars quickly, I'm sure of it. Please check this place out if you haven't already! read more
