    Outside at night

Came from out of town to visit family and stumbled upon this place which was nice. Very cool on the inside and out with all the TV'sto watch sports, play pool outside and chill with company near the fire pits to stay warm. The got a good selection fo beers, didn't try any of the food but we did enjoy all the games they had outside in the back patio. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is pretty big, inside and out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I wouldn't mind coming back here again when I return! Highly recommend to check out.

Going to be just my review on ordering takeout. I'm always looking to try local spots for wings and stumbled upon this place as I've heard a coworker talk about it before for drinks and they mentioned they have smoked wings. Recently after going on more of a keto diet I try and hit a different place up once a week to try their wings. I ended up getting an order of smoked wings with buffalo sauce, ranch and blue cheese dip on the side. Positives were the wings smelled great and visually were appealing with nice char. Negatives are they were extremely dry making them hard to eat, not really sauced well (they put sauced down in the container and just threw wings on top of it and shut the box), and lastly only got ranch not blue cheese like I also ordered. Flavor wise very similar to a backyard smoker product, feel like they need to brine their wings to produce a juicer product. Overall not bad but I had higher hopes for these wings based on others praise. Think a 3 rating is fair to say for me. Probably wouldnt order again but looks like a decent watering hole to grab a few drinks and that's it.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Perfect local hangout! Dive bar inside, huge family and dog friendly patio outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots of games, cornhole, giant connect four, giant jenga, ring hook game, dart boards, arcade games inside, pool tables, large tv outside to watch games and stage for live music, outdoor bar, 2 large fire pits.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have brunch on the weekends and a bbq menu. We have been here multiple times. The food is good but sometimes a long wait. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place gets pretty crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Today is their 3rd annual pig roast luau. $12 per plate of whole smoked pork and a side. My husband and I have come here for date nights and drinks and we've also brought our kids for bbq on the weekends. We love the old man. It's a community staple in Broomfield and nice that it's not an expensive chain bar and grill.

Ain't no thang but a chicken wing

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place looks rough from the outside and definitely seems like a local jaunt.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I came here because of the recommendation of a few friends who live up in the area, specifically their wings. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a huge back patio so it's dog friendly and more than enough room for all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a bit confusing though since we stopped here at lunch time and there wasn't a way to get into the back patio (locked Gate).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had our dog so I didn't want to walk right in so I ended up calling and they told me to bring out dog in through the restaurant.....ok. There was no service outside to take orders, instead order via QR card so easy enough. I got the buffalo wings and they didn't take too long to come out. Tasty, saucy, smoked.....I forgot that last detail which was a surprise but they were good regardless. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great place to meet up for drinks, especially if you have your four legged friend with you![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Costco has better chicken strips than these. Runny ranch dressing that took me back to middle school.

For a dive bar everything was as expected: Minimal interaction with wait staff and subpar food. I wasn't looking for fine dining but even my wife makes a buffalo chicken salad far better than what I received. Runny ranch dressing that seemed watered down and chicken cuts that had more breading than meat on it. I can't believe I spent almost $20 on this + tip. I really won't think about this location next time I'm up in this part of town. I may stop by in a pinch but it certainly won't be on the forefront of my mind. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing as my wife's buffalo wings looked awesome. I requested for light bleu cheese on my salad and received 3 bits of bleu cheese. Didn't realize it was that "light." At least the waitstaff was upbeat and had a smile on their faces and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the beer garden was nicely laid out with music piping in from speakers on the sides.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I may have to go for wings next time and skip the rabbit food. However chances of me returning are slim.

Lexi is the best waitress this place has ever had! The updates made to the beer garden are great. Perfect joint for a party. Of course I come here for the wings- hint- be sure to tell them to "flash fry" your wings. Otherwise they might come to you a little overcooked.

The restaurant is only open Friday and Saturday 11am - 3 pm. This is a very popular spot amongst local, so get here as soon as it opens. We arrived around 11:30 am and there was already a long line that formed. It can take awhile to get to the front, but it's definitely worth the wait! We ordered the ribs and the brisket with mashed potatoes, beans and mac n cheese. We also ordered candied pork belly (not in the attached image). I believe the ribs and brisket are their popular options. Both were very flavorful. The ribs fell right off the bone. The brisket was juicy and tender. However, the candied pork belly was definitely an underdog. It was my favorite meat because it had that sweet and very rich barbecue flavor which made every bite so dreamy. For the sides, I didn't really find any over-the-top, but they were decent. Maybe the mac n cheese was a bit on the dry side, but still really good to pair with the barbecue.

Sandwich was the Tail Dragger sandwich (Black Forest ham, oven-roasted turkey, pastrami, salami, Swiss, provolone, and mayo on sourdough) along with Jalapeño Beer Cheese soup. The sandwich was spot on, well toasted with a satisfying crunch, melty cheese, and layers of flavor in every bite. The soup was equally impressive: rich, cheesy, and savory with just the right amount of jalapeño kick without being overpowering. There was a fairly large group of older / retired folks who had just ordered when I arrived. Whether they were waiting on a charter flight or this is a regular Wednesday gathering, the place had a fun atmosphere. Despite the crowd and several pending orders, my food came out faster than expected. As an added bonus, the Vegas Golden Knights' jet was parked on the tarmac, which was very cool to see. This place reinforces my theory that FBOs and semi-private airports often have some of the best hidden gem diners and bistros, places usually known only to flight crews and private pilots. Definitely worth the stop.

However, the lovely couple behind the counter were friendly and let me take my time. Though I didn't order it, they had a $10 lunch special that consisted of a pork sandwich, side, and fountain drink. Pretty good deal! After toggling back and forth, I settled on a half rack of ribs. I really love ribs and never make them at home, so when I see it on a BBQ menu it always catches my eye. As far as the portion size is concerned, you will not go home hungry here! Caveman ribs with plenty of meat on the bone. Unfortunately I really didn't love the flavor of the ribs. The two sauces I picked out (Memphis and hot) also weren't doing it for me. There was some smoke and bark, and though they were meaty, it really fell flat. It was underseasoned and the sauces didn't liven it up like I was hoping. Sad to say, the mac and cheese I got for my side was also supbar. It felt like eating macaroni without the cheese. Watery, thin, and not much flavor. I hate that I didn't love the food, because the two people behind the counter were so nice. It was pretty slow inside for a Friday. For my money, there are better BBQ options in town. I love hole-in-the-wall, mom and pop joints, this one just didn't deliver flavor wise for me.

We ordered the Not So Teeny Wahine platter to share and added an okra appetizer, and everything that hit the table was legit. The meats were exactly what you want from a good barbecue joint: smoky, tender, and packed with flavor without drowning in sauce. You could tell the pit did the talking. The okra was a great starter too, crispy without being greasy and a perfect way to kick things off. Sides can make or break a BBQ place and Smokin Dave's nailed them. The mac and cheese was creamy and rich, the mashed potatoes were comforting and buttery, the collard greens had that slow-cooked depth you hope for, and the red beans and rice brought a little Southern soul to the table. Overall, just a really solid barbecue experience. Great flavors, generous portions, and the kind of meal that makes you want to come back and try the rest of the menu.
