Many moons ago, I embarked on a quest to try every DZ sandwich. The menu was smaller back then, and I made it pretty close despite the hefty toll a simple sandwich would take on my bank account back then. Then, as the years rolled by, I grew up and life's challenges became a lot more complex than a sandwich menu. I sorta forgot about this place--until I took a job located nearby this Broomfield location. I was surprised to find I was still well acquainted with the place. Not all DZ's are equal. This one is excellent. The sandwich (any one) is still what it always was: solid, and well priced for what it is. What really makes a sandwich shop special is the staff though, as we all know, and Kendra makes this place stand out. Super friendly, and always remembers me no matter how infrequently I stop in. We like their Chicken Salad, Roast Beef & Provolone, Turkey & Avocado, and Meatball Parmesan. With the chicken salad being our favorite. We order from this location at least once a week. Full disclosure: this specific review was sparked by a DoorDash order. I have eaten in Deli Zone before and taken food out of Deli Zone before so I will try to be as specific with all my experiences up to this point as possible. I was working some OT at my job and they threw me a bone by expensing lunch. It was still pretty early when I had to make my decision so I went for some place that was open. I settled on Deli Zone. Open early and you can choose between breakfast or not all day. I have been to Deli Zone in the past and it has always been pretty decent. The Kong breakfast sandwich is, dare I say, a classic. I mean hash browns on a sandwich? Amazing. They also do classic deli sandwiches pretty good. A lot of places try to make them more fancy than they need to be. Deli Zone is slightly guilty of this but it seems like the best place to get some pastrami on rye in the area if you are feeling it. The speed of getting your order is always pretty slow. When I ordered my sandwich this most recent time it took a full hour or so to get to me and it was one sandwich and I live less than 5 minutes away from the location. I would have for sure just went myself to get the food but the delivery order was placed for me. This could be all on DoorDash but I have experienced that same issue when ordering in the store as well. They take their time...could depend on sandwich order too. Speaking of going inside. Deli zone is very basic on the inside. My daughter and I used to walk over and eat lunch there and it is the type of place that leaves cases of canned drinks around and has those plastic stand fans out. It kind of seems like maybe someone lives there but I have no proof of that. It isn't dirty though, so don't worry about that. Just seems...lived in. This most recent time of going I got the New Yorker sandwich on marble rye. This was a great sandwich and might be my go to when I order from Deli Zone again. I liked the slaw, cheese, and dijon mustard more than the Russian dressing and sauerkraut of a Reuben. I am a pastrami guy too so this was great. Overall, the sandwiches in the past at Deli Zone all feel a bit...dry. A lot of the time the moisture comes from cheese or a dab of mustard from the sandwiches I have ordered. The New Yorker did not have that problem. I also got a whole pickle (great deli pickle honestly) and a bottled Starbucks coffee. This was overall a perfect meal for me for lunch and it kept me going until dinner. This won't be the best deli style sandwich place in the world but it is pretty damn good for Broomfield, CO. read more

We were up in Broomfield checking out the Veteran's War Museum, and were craving a good sandwich. We googled for a sandwich shop near by and the Deli Zone popped up. We read a bunch of great reviews and decided to try it. All three of us loved our sandwiches. They were served on the best home baked bread I have ever had. My husband and I ordered the smoked turkey with sautéed veggies and it was deliciously unlike the typical turkey sub. Our friend ordered the Rueben and he was very happy with his choice as well. We took home some homemade cookies and brownies and they were beyond delicious too. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. Kendra (owner) has been working this location for as long as, I'm unaware. She recently has bought out her father (previous owner), and is doing a "fantastic" job of it! I use to work nearby and ate here at least once a week because everything I got was fantastic and quickly made. Fast forward a decade of not eating there and everything is about the same, even though the owners are different. If I'm ever driving through the neighborhood I definitely stop by because they have rarely let me down. Ok, so the 5 star is a little biased because this is one of my long time favorites AND also my super number one not the heart healthiest but so fn good that I still have to have it once or twice a year. What I am talking about are their breakfast sandwiches. The Kong and Wall Street and Hell's Kitchen (their premiere breakfast sandwiches, steak and pastrami respectively). If the bread makes the sandwich then whoever they order their baguettes and rolls from are doing them a huge service. I enjoy their regular lunch deli sandwiches (hot and cold) because the bread is good and the ingredients fresh. But the breakfast sandwiches -chefs kiss-. The fried eggs the hash browns the meats. So if you want a real East coast style breakfast sandwich (if you are from the east coast don't be all whatever about it, this is in Colorado after all. They had an awesome, diverse selection of sandwiches, with some very unique combinations that sounded amazing. Total five stars, I'm not sure why this place gets such so-so reviews. Ordered here today for the first time and everything was super delicious. My boyfriend got the F train and a kids meatball sub (kids meals are super good deals because you get a drink and chips plus a decent sized sub for only like $6), and I got the garden salad add chicken, pepperoncini, and olives - all of which came exactly as ordered. The salads are massive, and the chicken was super tasty and they gave a good portion of it. The F bomb sub was absolutely to die for, which I ended up stealing half after my boyfriend gave me a bite. I'd say it was the best sub I had ever had - and I'm from Boston where subs are a lifestyle. Didn't taste the meatball sub, but my boyfriend liked it. All of the trappings of a NY deli without the flavor, value, or delivery. This place is absolutely awful! I had an Italian Hero. Two slices of ham, three slices of salami, a few Pepperoni's, onion, some peppers, lettuce, tomato. Seasoning(?). Bread tastes like it was made across the street at the supermarket. Maybe I'm jaded having grown up in NY?!!? There are far better chain sandwich shops in the area. Don't waste your time, money or appetite on this gastric travesty. You can do better at a gas station. I have eaten at many deli zones and even this one where the food was good. I got this today and the bread tasted at least two days old, the cold cuts did not taste fresh. I worked in Broomfield for over a year before being introduced to the Zone; the epiphany was long in coming, but well worth the wait. There is nothing on the menu that doesn't deserve to be tried. Period. The Giuliani brings good back to the name. The Buffalo Wing is better than any actual buffalo wings I've ever eaten. If I stop working in Broomfield, I will still make every effort to get here as often as possible. The sandwiches range from filling to frickin huge; they're not really cheap, but they're damn sure worth every penny. The place is tiny, but efficient; a sweet sandwich takes me a while to make, but they'll bring yours out within moments (a few extra if you order a hot sub). Also tasty enough that you won't be able to justify sitting around and nursing whichever you choose, which means there are always tables clearing out at lunch time. It doesn't hurt that the staff are variously hilarious, smart-assed, and, um, eye-pleasing. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great sandwich (and doesn't care for the trappings of a plush restaurant). read more

Avoid this Deli Zone location, new ownership / management is terrible. The atrocious service and excessively high prices would be acceptable if the food was fantastic. Paid $14 plus tip for a large "Gangster" and small drink and ate less than half before asking the cook if he served me turkey instead of chicken. The meat was terrible and the other lackluster toppings don't come close to filling the bread. 14 inches of bread and about 10 inches of not-so-great filling does not impress me. I do love certain other locations for Deli Zone so I won't swear it off altogether but I will NEVER again waste my time or money at the north Broomfield location on HWY287. I MISS YOU MAY! read more
