New Yorker Sandwich on marble rye
    Stewart J.

Full disclosure: this specific review was sparked by a DoorDash order. I have eaten in Deli Zone before and taken food out of Deli Zone before so I will try to be as specific with all my experiences up to this point as possible. I was working some OT at my job and they threw me a bone by expensing lunch. It was still pretty early when I had to make my decision so I went for some place that was open. I settled on Deli Zone. Open early and you can choose between breakfast or not all day. I have been to Deli Zone in the past and it has always been pretty decent. The Kong breakfast sandwich is, dare I say, a classic. I mean hash browns on a sandwich? Amazing. They also do classic deli sandwiches pretty good. A lot of places try to make them more fancy than they need to be. Deli Zone is slightly guilty of this but it seems like the best place to get some pastrami on rye in the area if you are feeling it. The speed of getting your order is always pretty slow. When I ordered my sandwich this most recent time it took a full hour or so to get to me and it was one sandwich and I live less than 5 minutes away from the location. I would have for sure just went myself to get the food but the delivery order was placed for me. This could be all on DoorDash but I have experienced that same issue when ordering in the store as well. They take their time...could depend on sandwich order too. Speaking of going inside. Deli zone is very basic on the inside. My daughter and I used to walk over and eat lunch there and it is the type of place that leaves cases of canned drinks around and has those plastic stand fans out. It kind of seems like maybe someone lives there but I have no proof of that. It isn't dirty though, so don't worry about that. Just seems...lived in. This most recent time of going I got the New Yorker sandwich on marble rye. This was a great sandwich and might be my go to when I order from Deli Zone again. I liked the slaw, cheese, and dijon mustard more than the Russian dressing and sauerkraut of a Reuben. I am a pastrami guy too so this was great. Overall, the sandwiches in the past at Deli Zone all feel a bit...dry. A lot of the time the moisture comes from cheese or a dab of mustard from the sandwiches I have ordered. The New Yorker did not have that problem. I also got a whole pickle (great deli pickle honestly) and a bottled Starbucks coffee. This was overall a perfect meal for me for lunch and it kept me going until dinner. This won't be the best deli style sandwich place in the world but it is pretty damn good for Broomfield, CO.

Ordered 2 sandwiches over the phone at 9:30 and they were ready in 10 minutes. Took them on our hike and they were delicious! Super friendly worker as well!

I drove up from Arvada with my wife to give them a try and she ordered the cheese curds as well. Being from Chicago, I finally felt I walked into my home. The associates knew the lingo as I ordered my Italian beef "naked and wet". He said, "I know what you mean, let me take care of you". Service was quick and all the staff friendly. If the owner is at home, then he/she can rest assured they hired the right group to run this place. The place is clean (including the restroom), staff were excellent and there was plenty to look at while you wait. The menu is extensive, but from the pictures there are a few other sandwiches I wanna to try. I will be back again and again!

He looks like Superman flying over the dirt! Trying to make sense of the wall menu was difficult. Almost too many as to be confusing because several sandwiches are similar in content. The huge menu on the wall doesn't give prices for all the items and it's very deceptive in my opinion. Our bill for a Chicago dog, a pastrami sandwich and a Cuban sandwich with one order of fries and 3 drinks came to over $50 which is stupid pricey IMHO. There were at least 5 people working behind the counter and our order came out fairly fast. I felt the sandwiches were very skimpy on the meat and nothing came with a side included. The Cuban sandwich was underwhelming and not much flavor. If you want a wonderful deli sandwich go to The Bagel Deli off Hampden and I-25. The absolute best in my opinion.

Not bad, but it didn't knock my socks off like other little Italian deli's around town can and do. The big flop was the service. I was unsure where to wait to order my sandwich so I waited by the case. While there were numerous employees working behind the counter, and zero other customers in the store, nobody greeted me for an awkwardly long amount of time. Maybe 5 actual minutes passed with me standing there and multiple employees working and even looking at me and never saying anything. Finally someone asked if I needed help. Yes, I want to order a sandwich. I put in my order, and it took about 10 minutes to make the sandwich. Understandable as the meat was sliced to order, which was great. In that time, another person came into the store, grabbed a few items, and stood at the register for that same full ten minutes I waited for my sandwich. Numerous employees working around, one even said hi to her, and nobody asked to help her. I was then asked a second time if I needed help and said I was waiting for my food. The other customer, still ignored. It was awkward for both of us. Finally, when my sandwich was done, they rang me out before she was rung out, and a second employee came to ring her out, and employee who walked past her numerous times while we stood there. Just a very strange customer service experience. They have a lot of room to improve in this area. On the plus side, during my long wait I was able to get photos of the grocery area and their cases and fridges. Lots of selection on the grocery side.

I love that they have craft Colorado sodas as selection made with real cane sugar. The deli is clean and always feels well stocked for all the essentials. They have amazing selection of various types of cheesecake, I didn't even notice they had cookies before but ended up getting a couple cookies for dessert to pair with my homecooked sausage and peppers pasta. Make sure you get your punch card if you're getting the canolis, the sausage canolis have a special place in my heart.

Sandwich was the Tail Dragger sandwich (Black Forest ham, oven-roasted turkey, pastrami, salami, Swiss, provolone, and mayo on sourdough) along with Jalapeño Beer Cheese soup. The sandwich was spot on, well toasted with a satisfying crunch, melty cheese, and layers of flavor in every bite. The soup was equally impressive: rich, cheesy, and savory with just the right amount of jalapeño kick without being overpowering. There was a fairly large group of older / retired folks who had just ordered when I arrived. Whether they were waiting on a charter flight or this is a regular Wednesday gathering, the place had a fun atmosphere. Despite the crowd and several pending orders, my food came out faster than expected. As an added bonus, the Vegas Golden Knights' jet was parked on the tarmac, which was very cool to see. This place reinforces my theory that FBOs and semi-private airports often have some of the best hidden gem diners and bistros, places usually known only to flight crews and private pilots. Definitely worth the stop.

Sandwich was finally ready and I dove in. This sandwich was fantastic and you can absolutely tell the care and craft of these sandwiches based off how fresh all the ingredients tasted. The roast beef was OMG delicious and the blend of flavors was next level good. Inside as well was super clean with decor you would expect in a deli. Service was a 5 star all the way!
