Ten out of Ten, would do again. The interior is a lovely warm and softly lit modern hookah lounge. A choice of hard wood tables and chairs and poofy loveseats. My girl and I had some of the house blend, which is nice if you just want to sit and smoke without going through their extensive list of flavors. Our server just asked us a few questions about our pallet and faster than a jackrabbit, we had a mix ready to go. We got some complementary cheese cake too. Oh! The hookahs come with Mystique Icehouse tip. Imagine a thermal sleeve, filled with water,shaped like a giant pecan, that gets placed at the end of the hose and acts like a handle that cools the smoke just before you taste it. Far more efficient than the ice bucket on the top of the hookah stem. I really hope this place sticks around. read more

I've been to a bunch of hookah lounges in the Austin area, and I can honestly say this place is by far the best. First and foremost the staff is incredible friendly and despite it being a busy night with seemingly no place to sit, the staff made it work. They made us our own little spot and immediately gave us a menu full of flavors. Rey went over a list of recommendations of different flavors for us to try and we decided to trust his judgment and picked a flavor he recommended. We didn't wait long to get our hookah; maybe five minutes. The flavor was spot on (mango, vanilla, watermelon). The bowl lasted well over an hour and Kamran frequently checked in on us and changed our coals for new ones without us having to ask once. After visiting several other hookah lounges, i expected to pay between $22-$25. But the hookah was cheap!! Only $17! All in all the best experience i've ever had at a hookah lounge. I will be returning to Hookah Buzz whenever i want to smoke! Highly recommend! read more

I used to come here a lot and it was a great middle eastern cultural atmosphere (Jordanian music, Turkish coffee, etc). It's no longer an authentic experience and has taken on the 18 and under club vibe. If you're looking for an authentic experience don't waste your time and money. read more

I usually go to Rawshe Hookah, but now I think I have found a new hookah lounge to hang out at. The environment is really laid back, and the staff is cool and fun. I tried the blue magic shisha which was a bit harsh to start out, but I believe it was due to the coal count, but it settled a bit and was perfectly fine. I also tried the ice hose, which seems like it makes it a but smoother to smoke. I eek definitely return again. read more

I love Hookah, and I love great customer service. However, at this hookah lounge, I didn't receive the service I expected after hearing and reading all the great things about hookah buzz. A group of my friends and I decided to come on a Thursday night to have just a girls night and smoke hookah. As I walked into the lounge, they were playing great music, which is what I enjoyed the most with my experience there. As we sat, we were confused if we were suppose to go up to the front and order, or if they were just short staffed. So I decided to walk up to the counter, and I see a group of people sitting behind the counter smoking hookah. I assumed they were customers, but one of them asked me what do I want to smoke. To me, that's very unprofessional. I mean where I'm from, they usually have happy servers ready to deliver service. So I let that go, and asked for a pineapple bowl, and chose the house flavor Magic. I also picked up a couple of sodas for my friends. We waited for awhile, about 20 minutes, and luckily the tv was playing music videos to keep us entertained , which is pretty nice. Finally, the time for our hookah arrived after 25 minutes, and the server who took my order, placed down the hookah. I sat with confusion, assuming I ordered a pineapple bowl, and they provided the regular Egyptian bowl. The last comment the server made before leaving us with the wrong bowl was, "sorry, we were waiting for the coals to cook." I've had hookahs for awhile now, and I know it doesn't take that long for coals to cook, and....IT WAS THE WRONG BOWL! It would have been understandable if the bowl was correct, because those pineapples are not that easy to make. Overall, my experience ended when I went up to pay for the hookah, and seeing the same group of people who I then realized were all employees just smoking with no care for the customer, and they asked me "didn't you get a pineapple head?" Sorry, but worst experience at a hookah lounge ever. read more

This is the first Hookah spot I have ever been to in Austin. I moved from San Diego where Hookah was plentiful so I was happy to find this spot. The atmosphere is real laid back. It is small to medium in size but comfortable. The service was good. The guy was polite and the hookah was great. The prices are great too! They play good music and they even have card and board games. Me and my husband played uno while we talked and hit the hookah while having a cold beer. That's my kind of date night. Nice Little spot to go and get your Hookah Crave, its kinda of hidden but its right behind the Shell gas station and next to planet K if you pass Short Stop you have gone too far. Inside its nice and spacious, leather couches and tables all about. inside is Kept Very clean even during hookah sessions they will go around cleaning up tables and even the FLOORS!!!
