I haven't done Hookah in Austin but I kept Layali in mind because it was next to a restaurant, open pretty late and not super shady. After my experience here I see no reason to continue to search for a hookah place. We walked in and were greeted quickly and seated ourselves at a nearby table. The Yelp showed they were BYOB and we confirmed that before cracking the beers we had brought with us. They had their own blend of tobacco and we decided to go with that. The flavor was fruity, light and was cheap. We weren't on a weekend so we didn't have to hit the per person minimum. The only downside was that since it was midweek they closed at the 'earlier' time of around midnight and they let us stay as close to closing as possible without interfering with their closing procedures. read more

Hookah is not expensive and it's a good flavors and duration, they are always renewing the charcoals for new ones. It's a real Mediterranean feel! Food is amazing, it comes from the Almarah so if you have been there you know is great food! And I love that they have a full menu even late night. The service was terrible and the vibe was weird and just made the whole experience bad. It was awkwardly quiet in there and was no music or tvs on. A pro is that it was connected to the restaurant so we could order food. We barely got talked to and had to continuously raise our hand to get attention to be served. When we asked for fresh coals they told and us and turned off the lights before close to try to get us out. (Close was at 8;30pm so it's not like it was hella late) The hookah tasted seemed good, but we didn't even have coals to fully enjoy it read more

I'm here with my friends at least once a week or every other week. Since coming here coming here more, I haven't wanted to go to the other hookah bars I've been to. I've gotten to know a few of the staff members and they are all amazing, and very accommodating. They are connected to a restaurant so they're food is authentic and pretty tasty; my favorite is the pizza. They play amazing music from a variety of genres and have what I think is a dance "party" on Saturday's that are the best thing to experience. Everyone gets up and dances with each other in the middle of the lounge; even if they don't know each other, they dance, laugh and have fun....that's how great the atmosphere is. I'm really particular about smoking hookah because most places I go to, I end up with feeling weird after but I have nothing but good experiences here and I know it's because of the great work the staff does. I have nothing but great things to say every time I visit and I'll continue to come, it's a great hang out spot. read more

A large group of my friends and I came here because why not, it seemed like something fun to do at the time. But as soon as we get sat down we have 2 servers come up to us simply asking "what would you like" like do you mean drinks or food or hookah, we were very confused since we'd never been here before. One of them wasn't too helpful, he could barely understand what we were asking. But the other was a little more understanding and was asking if we wanted free waters and we all said yes. Then after about 5 minutes of them checking our ID's another server came up to us stating "after September first we can no longer serve you since you are underage." First of all that is NOT correct, please properly inform your staff about current laws before you get a lawsuit. The law states "exclusions apply to anyone born before September 1st of 2001" which we were all born before then. I also told him this and he just sat there and told me to my face that I was wrong. No sir, please go and read the law. Then we asked if we could change the music since they were just playing Mediterranean tunes. So the younger more helpful server from before gave us the aux and let us play whatever, which was really cool until the only other people in there (they might've been staff or management) went up to him and made him change the music back to what it was before. I'm sorry but we were the only PAYING customers in there so why did you have to do that to us? Very, not cool. We probably won't be coming back to this location. This is a very nice hookah lounge with a relationship to the Mediterranean restaurant next door, so you can order food while you're there. They were playing hip hop music while I was there which is my vibe. I went early afternoon, and it wasn't too busy which I enjoy. It's overall a chill place with good hookah. I tried melon mixed with mint. They have a nice, large outdoor area for when it cools down outside. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area! read more

I've been here even before they renovated the hookah lounge. Since renovation the have beautiful furniture and it really sets a good vibe. The hookah is always good and the service is great. OVERALL: Three stars because I love the location, staff members, and lounge area, and great pricing! Loss of two stars because I may only visit here once every three months or so, due to my lack of confidence in the shisha and hookah, the lounge uses. Read below for a detailed breakdown: CUSTOMER SERVICE: 4 out of 5 stars! - All of the staff were welcoming and had a smile on their face. - They were attentive to my needs and made sure everything I requested were met. - The coals were refilled without me having to request them - The staff were knowledgeable of the pricing of the menu items - Some of the staff members made HOOKAH: 0.5 out of 5 stars! - I am giving it 0.5 star because the hookah that I ordered was brought out to me in a very quick manner. - The loss of four stars is due to the following: {note} The hookah flavor I ordered was Mango Mint with an ice pipe ~ When I got the hookah, I noticed the tip of the hose were the individual mouthpiece is inserted was loose, due to the tip of it being cut. This was an issue because there was no suction and no smoke was building up in the chamber of the hookah. So I had to resort to not using the individual mouthpiece leading to -.5 star. ~ As I mentioned, I had requested an ice pipe, what I got was not it. Usually, one is able to feel the smooth ice feeling in the palm, inner mouth or throat - if smoke is inhaled - when smoking through an ice pipe. None of these were fulfilled. When I opened the pipe to see what was inside of it, I noticed clear ketchup like packet filled with some color liquid, instead of being cold it was mildly warm. The staff could have just said "sorry we actually do not have the necessary things to give you the best icy hookah experience," but instead I was told, "yes, we have an ice pipe" when I asked one of the staff. Hence, -2 star for not understanding customer needs. ~ The hookah flavor I ordered was Mango Mint. But what I got was not anything I was expecting. The I could not taste any Mango or mint flavoring. Also, I am assuming the preparation of the hookah was fastly done resulting in a poor smoke flavor. After 15 mins or so, the smoke started to become very harsh and hard to smoke. -2 star for poor preparation AMENITIES & ATMOSPHERE: 4 out of 5 stars! - They have some fun board and card games for you to play - The lounge is decently spacy. The sitting areas are super comfortable, for one to sit and relax while enjoying some hookah. - Great selection of couches, makes you feel at home. - the loss of 1 star is the barrier that was next to my seating area was actually wobbling when I laid my back into it. I was under the impression it was fixed to the floor. FOOD: 5 out of 5 stars! - Made the order for Beef Shawarma sandwich, and it was brought out very fast - The food tasted exactly how it was supposed to taste, beefy, chunky and overall yummy. read more

This is not how I planned to spend my Saturday afternoon; taking pictures of inedible food and writing bad reviews after paying $40+ for two meals. The rice was stale, flavorless, and was not fresh by any means. The chicken was so old the drumsticks were rock hard I could chip a tooth eating that thing. The chicken breast was dry and had a dirt-like texture. The "salad" was a slice of tomato, a slice of red onion, and a slice of cucumber on a bed of lettuce!! Just because I ordered this and was not there to call you out on this that does not mean you can send me your few days old remains‍. This was an abysmal experience. Excellent hookah lounge! Great food, great atmosphere, great service. I came in today and was blown away with how nice the furniture is, most hookah lounges I've been to there are holes and burn marks in the furniture. But this place's furniture was not like that at all, and that's because they put the hookah on the floor which Is safer and prevents the furniture from being burned. They also come around and give you new charcoal for your hookah. This is by far the best hookah lounge I've been to, it was worth driving 20 minutes for and I will definitely be back! read more

Came to this place based off the stellar reviews. Service was decent. The hookah however was not the best. We were here for about an hour and a half and our charcoals were never replaced. The drink and food menu looked great. I ordered the lemonade which was VERY nicely made ( we only ordered drinks, hookah, and a kanafeh). The Kanafeh tasted really good as well. We came around 3 PM so I'm guessing this place is way better in the evening. read more
