Great atmosphere, awesome staff and the best quality hookahs in town. They have BYOB, and a assortment of coffee and juice beverages.

Great place to smoke some hookah if you're in north Austin. Same owners as Austin Hookah Lounge down south.

First and foremost the staff is incredible friendly and despite it being a busy night with seemingly no place to sit, the staff made it work. They made us our own little spot and immediately gave us a menu full of flavors. Rey went over a list of recommendations of different flavors for us to try and we decided to trust his judgment and picked a flavor he recommended. We didn't wait long to get our hookah; maybe five minutes. The flavor was spot on (mango, vanilla, watermelon). The bowl lasted well over an hour and Kamran frequently checked in on us and changed our coals for new ones without us having to ask once. After visiting several other hookah lounges, i expected to pay between $22-$25. But the hookah was cheap!! Only $17! All in all the best experience i've ever had at a hookah lounge. I will be returning to Hookah Buzz whenever i want to smoke! Highly recommend!

Based on my research, "A hookah (also called shisha or waterpipe) is a multi stemmed smoking instrument designed to heat flavored tobacco and pass the smoke through water before you inhale. The water cools the smoke but does not remove harmful chemicals." Although it had a different name (Desert Kings), it was a hookah lounge. The room was separated by couches and folks were on there hookah pipes in their respective sections.

We sat on high bar stools and overlooked the celebration directly in front of the Live band stage. We avoided crowd crushing, liquid spills on your clothing and the screaming that was taking place below. The great news was it was 77 Degrees rooftop was completely free. Amazing to hear the music from below in an open air environment In addition, the 77 degrees DJ was spinning pop, hip hop and other dance music. While the area is relatively small, they had roped off VIP sections with bottle service. We did not have any food as at this juncture we were not hungry. Because 77 Degrees has an open air setting, it was pleasant to sit and watch the band.

You get a really nice view on the top level (you can ascend the three levels by the stairs or an elevator) and there are a lot of colored lights everywhere to set the mood. It's a fantastic place to celebrate a birthday and that's what I went for; my friend had so much fun on her birthday. They have these crazy illuminated signs that the staff bring by your table. There is bottle and table service, tapas....and hookahs too. The crowd is festive and trendy, but relaxed. It can get chilly at night in winter months, and the outdoor heaters are good but I would still make sure to bring a sweater or a jacket. And even then you might have to snuggle with your friends to keep warm. Or start dancing to the music.

Next stop The Rose Room...I have never been to this club because it has unusual hours....Friday & Saturday: 10 PM - 2 AM. This is the TAO (Las Vegas, NV) equivalent for Austin, TX. We began with a dramatic escalator entrance. When you get off the escalator and go left (only possible direction), you see a sea of sardine-packed people dancing like it is there last night of earth. There is a small section of the club with stadium-like seating and a standing area. The music was blasting so loud your body was literally vibrating. A huge LED lit wall showing different designs was the focal point. A DJ was spinning some high energy songs. It was on and popping. We stayed at The Rose Room for a very short while in fear that our ear drums would explode. In my 20s I used go out a lot with friends...surprised I have any hearing today. The key is when music is that loud, you don't linger. This is a drinks only club with a bar inside the club.

The place is very sleek and modern looking and the interior is clean. There are a lot of games inside and a central bar that keeps the drinks rolling. We ordered a few drinks, all of which were good, nothing crazy but good. The real fun here is in all the surrounding games. From skeeball to basketball to pong, there is something for everyone and when you're a few drinks in it becomes even more fun. The live DJ was a plus as good music kept rolling throughout our time there and the fun atmosphere was very palpable. They even have a photo booth so you can commemorate the night forever (or don't, your choice). We've been to Kung Fu Saloon multiple times and whether it's a night where you want to sit down and just talk or get into a few games, it has always been a good time and we recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, casual experience.

Many from Central TX are familiar with spot as there are locations in Houston, Dallas, the North Austin/Domain area. This location in the Domain is like the others in that there are free unlimited old school games for adults like skee-ball, pinball, arcade games, etc. The bar has a laid-back feel and features 24 beers on tap and a specialty Sake bomb menu. Conversely....Texans may recognize this bar's name from some controversy it's generated over the years. The bar chain came under heavy scrutiny for what potential guests insisted were racist door-management policies. Given the furor this generated, it was probably easy to overlook that the Kung Fu Saloon was repeatedly investigated by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) over the years (Yowzah). Controversy aside, this place may be worth a visit if you come early and have the place to yourself. When the bar is full, service is often slow but drinks are still poured with a heavy hand. In addition, the food is that of dive bar standards, therefore it is advisable not to come to this location hungry.
