This is such a cozy spot! It's a hole in the wall so it's not as nice and has a hippy Austin feel to it. I don't partake in hookah but I met some friends here for BookClub this month. Service was very friendly and my friend enjoyed the hookah flavors! I love that there's a Mediterranean place next door and you can order food and BYOB and BYOF (bring your own food) I ended up ordering mint tea and rose hip + hibiscus tea--they ran out of hibiscus tea which was disappointing. It was shocking to know that for two pots of tea (which probably costs no more than $4) was up charged for $20. I did leave a nice tip because the service was great but I wouldn't come back on my own. read more

The hookah is alright ( it's a hit or miss), no air conditioning and the inside looks old and a little dirty. the staff seem to have favors between customers ( they don't charge some customers for BYOB which makes it feel unfair) the "manager " treats every customer differently in general and is not professional. read more

Chill, nice guys, amazing ambiance. Very cool location. Open late. I decided to go with a friend just for a little night out, around 9pm. I was a little hungry so I decided to grab some Chinese food nearby. I made sure to ask if I could bring food in. They gleefully said yes, and also stated they are BYOB. We asked for a recommendation, and I can't remember for the life of me what it was, I believe blueberry mint of some sort. Our coals lasted a while, and we were checked on periodically. I've met some really awesome people who have turned into friends and have learned so much about Austin and have many tons of transplants from around the world. This place is great but some of the clientele makes it good downhill. Very traditional hookah spot whcih I like, nice music, and really fast wifi! BUT The owner shows preference to the long timers and established customers. There is a lady who solicits inappropriate things to multiple men and makes many feel uncomfortable including my boys in and I and my mom who is a middle aged indian woman. This same lady drinks like a fish is always drunk or overly belligerent and it makes for a bad experience. The three times I have been i witnessed the same thing. She is very rude and aggressive to the workers and unpleanst to be around. Ramie the worker is amazing ass guy and the guy Karam is the same both knowledable of hookah and make a good pawn pool and will give recommendations. Last Thursday was my last time going to this place because of that lady and she was so arrogant and rude she said F everybody and that the owner needed her money that she spends daily. Great hookah lounge with a fantastic chill atmosphere. The staff here was awesome and accommodating, even when our hookah was pulling very harshly, they quickly adjusted the coals and we were back to puffing away happily. The lebanese tea here is delicious and reminds me a lot of the moroccan tea I get back home. Leave it to Armenians to find a hookah lounge in Austin :x Though kinda in the middle of nowhere, I really liked this spot. It's very low-key but has good hookah and is comfortable (though not fancy). The workers were very chill and let us bring in our pizza since it was late and they weren't serving food. I've been here twice now with a few buddies from work! Atmosphere: relaxed, fast Wi-Fi, diverse music so 5/5 Customer service: 5/5 it's not as large as some of the other places but large groups need more coals plus great recommendations on different flavors 5/5 Flavors: I'm disappointed the flavors went out the bowl almost 30-45mins, they have your standard flavors which is not competitive in comparison to other lounges. Hookah Bowls: the bowls are not extremely modern which is okay but wasn't impressed. Scene: there's annoying caucasian women who sits in the front of this place and is extremely loud. You can hear complain, and referring to everyone has "b--, Gina, and honey, in addition she complained both times we came in that her brother is the owner and the liberals piss her off". This is was a huge turn off because the first time we went we will let it slide because we thought she was drunk, but we come to hookah to chill and vibe with people and have meaningful conversation. Not be uncomfortable for our political views and summons to hearing someone say "b--, Gina, and honey". We sat by a regular customer and him and his wife said she is just like that which was really sad on multiple levels. Word of mouth travels fast but when it's ongoing it seems to be problematic. ATTENTION: This is by far, and by far I mean light years ahead of any typical hookah lounge because of three things 1. the leadership 2. the hospitality 3. the atmosphere I called ahead of time for a birthday celebration I was trying to put together for myself to bring in the big 31. It was about a week before the actual day, I found Yahala online and gave them a call damn near 1 am. Nick picked up. He said it should be fine to reserve a spot for the bday and not worry about anything. I visit the lounge within the next couple of days to get a better understanding of the cost, space and let him know I'm inviting 10 ppl approx. He told me that wasn't a problem and gave me a great deal! I'm happy. The day of, I get off of work, head to the spot, and I'm birthday decked out (just some leggings and a shirt lol but whatever). Nick has the reserved spot set up for me and everything I asked for! All we had to do now was wait for my party... The party that never came. Turns out everyone ended up flaking on me. Not a sole came. I ended up having to go pick up an old friend of mine in order to not completely call it a wash. I wasn't having the greatest birthday and all Nick kept saying was it's okay it's your birthday no worries! He invited me to join some awesome folks who visit Yahala on a regular basis and we all sat down talked about life, laughed, and had some amazing Hookah. Everyone in the place knew it was my birthday that night for some reason too. That eased the pain. I'm the independent type but I guess it would have been cool if just one person showed. Anyway, as it grew late and the birthday hours were winding down, I stared into the hookah smoke trying to figure out my purpose in life lol because wine, hookah, and an entire party no show can make one contemplate. Through the hookah smoke and my glassy eyes (which held back tears of despair for a plethora of reasons), I could see in the near distance some candles and a cake coming my way with Nick holding it and the beautiful people we were sitting next to behind him. Someone turned off the lights and the entire lounge sang happy birthday to me... 1.They bought a cake 2.Waited for the right moment 3. and sang happy birthday... Like, guys listen. I broke down. Tears shot out of my eyes like they'd been trapped there for years aching to get out. There was snot and awkward silences, stares, hugs and empathy (or may just sympathy lol idk), going all around. How absolutely thoughtful and genuine - just phenomenal. It's my perception, however, isn't that what a family does for you!? Isn't that what people who care about people do!? They weren't asked to go above and beyond but they did go above and beyond for this stranger that needed it at the time. An unforgettable night that started out with a lot of twists and turns. After all of that, all we paid for was the hookah. Such a priceless moment at a minimal expense. These guys are about the community and making people feel like they belong and are valued. Stopped by after reading good reviews and was not disappointed. Wow, this place is amazing. Came here with a few friends on a Saturday night. I have hookah experience myself, heck, I even worked at a hookah bar myself. First off the prices are amazing and perfect for a group experience. Next is flavor selection, and do I mean selection. A huge list of flavors that could even be mixed and matched. We tried the Tangerine Dream mixed with Coconut. Now for a Saturday night it was amazingly chill. I love the music videos they have playing and the super comfy couches. The best thing about this place had to be the service. We received coal refills, and even had our bowl blown out to cool. The smoke lasted for a really long time and the taste barely diminished. Full disclosure: I kinda sorta may have almost burned the place down, so I do feel obligated to leave a review. Although my review was going to be positive anyway, the staff's extremely chill response to my accidental arson incident bumps it up from 4 stars to 5. I met up with some friends who were visiting from out-of-town, and since it was a weeknight and they were leaving the next day, we just wanted to do something low-key and relaxing. A hookah lounge sounded like the perfect venue. Bonus points that it's right next to a yummy Mediterranean place (Arpeggio Grill), and you can order next door and then have them bring the food over. (Note: neither place serves beer or wine, so if that's your poison, you may want to BYOB). There are various little nooks for lounging -- some on couches, some on the floor, and since my friends and I had opted for the floor, we had to do some rearranging of pillows when the food arrived. I was trying to move a bean bag chair out of the way, and that's when I bumped the hookah and spilled hot coals right into the bean bag! Not good. Even worse when the hot coals burned /through/ the outer fabric and then were somewhere /inside/ the bean bag, still smoking but inaccessible. Thankfully, it seems that styrofoam peanuts aren't too combustible, because the whole thing didn't burst into flames like it would in a movie -- probably one with Ben Stiller trying to impress a date. That's when one of the staff showed up to see what was the matter. I apologized profusely and explained what had happened, and he seemed totally unfazed. By this time, one of the coals had burned through to the other side, but there was still one unaccounted for. He took the bean bag and presumably hosed it down somewhere; at the very least I hope he didn't just stick it in the back with a bunch of flammables. Since I haven't seen any accounts of a fire sweeping through Yahala and Arpeggio Grill, I think I can rest easy that I haven't destroyed two great Austin institutions. The rest of the evening was thankfully accident-free. We enjoyed our hookah (Blue Mist Watermelon, I believe -- hints of blueberry, mint, and watermelon make for a refreshing combo), as well as some hot tea (which I didn't spill!), and the staff was as gracious and attentive as ever. I'm hoping the next time I go back, they won't remember me as the girl who almost burned their place down! read more

Great place, been her a couple times and I have no complaints. A lot of good flavors and combinations to choose from. Seating is a little close but very comfortable. Music is tasteful and with good variety. Very good staff and chill atmosphere. Definitely at top 3 hookah lounges in Austin. Would highly recommended you visit.
