The owner is so kind and so honest, two other shops quoted me more than half the price he gave me, one other also lied about what the problem was and wanted 3k for something that wasn't even the issue (not to mention they took two weeks to take it in and diagnose the issue..) This guy fixed my electrical problem in less than two days! Not only that but he helped me with my expansion tank! I've been to almost every BMW specialty mechanic in Honolulu and this place is by far the best. I am a female college student and most places try to take advantage of my terrible decision of buying a N54 bmw, but this guy is so helpful! if you are a young woman like me and feel like everywhere tries to scam you with any European vehicle take your car here you will not regret it!! I am not car savvy. So when I drove out of my development and a notice popped out about my transmission and then the car died I panicked. But then it restarted and I was able to drive off. Coming home it did again right in front of the light before the development. The internet is wonderful. Looked it up and it said it was most likely the battery. My car is 5 yrs and 3 mos old and we have never had it changed before. Called BMW but could not get an appointment for a week and a half. But she did say if it broke down I of course could bring it down. Called a couple of other BMW shop we found on Yelp. The first did answer the phone (called twice) and the second said they were really busy so it would be a couple of days. Finally called Honolulu Bimmer Service and we were told we could come in at 1:30. We had to go to the airport and drop off a car for my son arriving at 11am. After dropping off a car for him-we drove straight there. We were more than an hour early. They were actually eating their lunch. They stopped and put in the battery right away sacrificing their lunch hour. Apparently with all the gizmos that are powered by the battery, it was the cause of the errant notices and car dying. Car runs fine now. Can't say enough of how nice (really good customer service) they were. And the price was also reasonable. It technically was not a BMW battery but it also was not BMW prices (I know because I had another battery dies just a couple of weeks after my four yr warranty ended on another car) read more

This is where to go if you do not want to be taken advantage of. I had my 320i towed there for what seemed to be a transmission problem. Guy quickly diagnosed it as a bad battery and installed a new one. On another occasion, the car was making strange noises from underneath the passenger cabin. This was diagnosed as a broken cable clamp, which was fixed at minimum expense. When I brought it in because the AC wasn't cold enough, Guy checked it out, found no major problems and got it working fine just by replenishing the freon. Guy has dozens of years working on BMWs, knows what he is doing, is scrupulously honest and friendly. Save your money and go there with your Bimmer. read more

I feel like I have to share to my experience. Although it has plenty of good reviews which made us go there I wouldn't recommend and wouldn't go back for a few reasons. Like always Mechanics always recommend getting something changed or always find a another issue which I don't mind but In this case we had a oil leak coming from the oil filter housing gasket and leaking onto the the belt. Guy said it was leaking from there without really inspecting it but I presume it's a common leak. And I asked for pics and videos to actually see if it's from there as he made room to clearly see. And he never did sent me anything. We all have the right to see the Damaged part or leak. Anyways he replaced the "gasket". But there was another issue the belt tensioner was shaking or vibrating it looked broken I told Guy that looks broken it shouldn't be moving. He said oh it's because the belt it's moving because of the oil. He said it should be fine. We left it at that. We took it a couple days later to another shop and they confirmed it was broken and needed to be replaced. So my question is why didn't Guy a experienced mechanic want to change that?? It was making terrible noise as well. On top of it he charged for 6hours of labor and finished it in 3 hours or less. Definitely feels like a rip off as well. Basically just be careful. ask a lot of questions and ask to see your old parts and proof of new parts. It can be a simple fix and they want to charge you arm and leg. Get 2-3 other estimates from other shops if possible. read more

I just had my car serviced there the other week & had to get a new water pump and radiator installed. Then a couple days later, my car started overheating which definitely got ME heated! This happened on a Sunday so had to wait til Monday morning to call. Guy said to bring it down which I did & said I'd wait while he checked on my car. They have a small comfortable waiting area with leather couches, tv, daily paper, etc. and after 45 min Guy came in & said there was a missing screw on a hose which was causing the leak resulting in it being overheated. He replaced that at no charge & I'm glad he's an honest businessman. I've taken both of my Bimmer's for service here & both Guy & Lea (other owner) are trustworthy and genuinely nice people. Took my 2013 x5 in to bmw for its regular service last month. Found out I had a blown gasket (hence dat oil smell every time I shut off da engine!). The quote? $3000! Uhhhhh...contemplated getting a new car already coz the service alone was almost $300. I searched on yelp (and asked around for recommendations on BMW repairs) and stumbled on this shop. Made an appt for an estimate. At first I didn't say what was wrong or how much I was quoted from BMW. Jus wanted to see what the mechanic would say. Guy, the owner and the mechanic, was super nice! He explained a lot about the gasket and gave his recommendation and a quote...$1100! What??? For the same job? And with genuine BMW parts? And u can fix it next week? Dropped off my x5, got it back that same day, perfect! Oh...btw...cost for regular service is in the $100 price range! No drop off service,but for the $200 discount (as compared to BMW) I could catch uber, eat some awesome sushi at Imanas-tei, and still have enough left over to pay my cleaning lady for the week! Lol. I have a new 2013 3 series and I wanted to get an oil change done between the dealer scheduled change. They did check with the dealer to ensure they were using the proper viscosity oil and did a great job getting it done on time as scheduled. Upon returning to work and parking my car I noticed that there was some slight damage to my paint in what looked like a dropped tool. I called Guy and he quickly took care of things by setting up a repair appointment and assisting to get it done. I am sure it was an accident and I am really happy with how it was handled. Hard to trust these guys when I call for an estimate on my altinator get changed on my bimmer and he says he don't know if they can do it it's really really difficult he said let me ask my manager so he called me back saying they can do it and it's 1400 bucks so I did it myself with my neighbor and it wasn't difficult at all not worth paying 1400 on it almost 1000 dallor labor with parts at 334 bucks it's a hard call on this place i wouldn't take my car here make sure you do your homework on this place read more

Had a couple oil leaks and needed a brake flush. Took many quotes before I settled with this shop. Initially, quotes had me thinking I was going to be paying 2500-3000 for 2 gaskets and a flush. The shop gave a good deal well under 2000. Definitely felt that they weren't trying to rip me off or over-price labor or milk the time. Shop was super personable and reasonable. My husband drives a BMW and since I work in town, he would ask me to drop it off in the mornings for things needing to be fixed or changed out. It was always easy for me to find a spot to park at in the morning before they opened and then walk 10 minutes to work. They have a key dropbox in their door that seems secure. I never had to pay, but I would look at the receipts and they were reasonable and more detailed than mechanic's that I use for my car. After work, I'd walk back down and pick up the car (410p). Ladies....this place is not creepy or slimy and you will be treated well. I called when my check engine light came on, told to bring it in, and ti was fixed that same day. Everything was explained to me, my car looked at, and future fixes suggested. The estimate was actually the right exact price I paid:) Thats rare:) Also had two beautiful Goldens. Guy at honolulu bimmer is the man! I was rear ended and after the accident some lights had come on on my dash- come to find out it was a $3,600 repair! The drivers insurance company didn't think that the lights had anything to do with the accident. And did not want to pay. (Lights had come on immediately after the accident, I had never seen them before) the insurance company seemed to think it was a coincidence. Anyways I needed to get the car looked at to verify the damage was from the accident. Guy really came to the rescue. He was able to verify the engine damage was from the accident and got the insurance company to pay for it. Saved me $3,600! The repair only took a few hours and my car is running great!
