Locally owned chain there's 3 of them in the DFW area. The donuts are delicious but on the pricier side. The cookies and cream is a must have. The orange earl was good but I felt the flavors conflict. There's limited seating here, they made a nice outdoor area when it gets warm. There's lots of parking space here. The service is standard, order at the counter. Ranking: 1. Cookies and cream 2. Orange earl grey Hoping to add more in the future.
I saw pictures of the food from Honeybird online and it looked really good, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered The Classic, the banana bread latte, and a cronut. The Classic was fine but definitely not worth the price. It was basically an overpriced egg and cheese sandwich. Nothing to rave about, but not terrible. The banana bread latte was horrible. It tasted like warm water with a light sprinkle of cinnamon. No flavor depth, no richness, and definitely not what I expected. The cronut was the worst part. There were dark circular spots on it that looked strange and honestly made me question whether it was even safe to eat. I tried calling the restaurant to ask about it but couldn't get anyone on the phone.
I've only ever ordered via UberEats and have not been in person. This place is great for having a tasty brunch that's also aesthetically pleasing! I really enjoy the Honeybird Biscuit and Tiramisu latte the most. They tend to be my go-to's every time I order! I also really enjoy their matcha latte and HB taco w/ cheese. Honestly, the savory food and drinks are always a winner. Though I did find the Sakura lemonade a bit too sweet for my liking. But I did use it for a work photo so thanks for the aesthetics lol Now to the donuts. They are gorgeous aren't they? They're also HUGE, no matter which you order! The cronuts are the best in my opinion. I think the regular ones with all the fancy icing and toppings are not as amazing as they look. Don't get me wrong, they taste great! But, between the size and the toppings, the donut itself is a little lackluster. I think if they were a bit smaller there'd be more balance. But each time I decide to try one, they're not as impressive as I expected given their appearance. Again, not bad. They are tasty. But I think I'll stick to the savory and the various drinks. And I'll get a cronut when the mood hits me (and if there are still any left! They go fast!) All in all, I enjoy getting brunch from Honeybird and look forward to any new drinks they come up with!
Cute place with a bunch of stuffed/filled donut options. We ordered a few items to eat there and then took home a bunch as well. Their strawberry cream donut was delicious, as was their honeybird biscuit. Tatertots were ok but not worth the price honestly. I liked the strawberry matcha and blueberry cheesecake as well. Limited seating inside but they have an "outdoor" area as well that can get really cold depending on the weather.
Well, this was a disappointment. I went on a late Saturday morning and ordered online. I got a egg & cheese biscuit sandwich. It said cheddar cheese, but it was made with American...which isn't really even cheese. The biscuit was so pale, it was just barely past raw. No crispy edges, just a soft, mushy biscuit. And the egg was not seasoned at all. With the poor excuse for "cheese" it really showed how unseasoned everything was. I had to add salt and pepper to make it tolerable. I also got a HB taco and it was only slightly better. The filling was okay, lots of eggs at least and they were seasoned a little this time. I paid extra for tater tots and they were soggy. The salsa was flavorless. The locally made tortilla was also extremely undercooked. It looked like it was parbaked by the maker to finish cooking before serving. But they didn't finish it. This is Texas. Have these people never seen a tortilla? Embarrassing. The donuts looked pretty. But I won't be back to try them out.
I stopped in after hearing about Honeybird from the socials. Donuts are super cute - huge, but cute. I found it extremely sweet and filling. More appropriate for sharing with another. Flavor was good but it was just a lot for a single person. I got the Spanish latte, asking for nonfat milk. They don't have nonfat. Only whole, oat and almond. I had almond, it was frothed nicely but very rich as I suspected. I think it would be helpful to have menu descriptions so you know what is in the drink you're ordering.
I thought this was just a donut place, but they sell regular food too. I came for the donuts and it didn't disappoint. It's sugary bliss in a building. My daughter said the cronut was so soft and she thoroughly enjoyed it. The banana pudding donut was really good. The banana pudding was delicious. I loved that it didn't have actual bananas in it. I don't like them. I do wish the donut was softer, but I guess it has to support the pudding inside. I'll go back and try something else. The donut was definitely shareable.

Unfortunately, my experience didn't match what everyone else seems to rave about. I ordered the cookie butter donut, and it was extremely dry -- same with the donut holes. My mom got the pumpkin pie donut, and hers was just as dry and hard. I asked the cashier if they make their donuts fresh daily, and she said yes, they were baked that morning. But the texture definitely didn't reflect that. When I mentioned how dry they were, she told me the owner recently changed the recipe, which makes sense because something is definitely off. I tried to take a few more bites, but it was honestly too dry to enjoy. I ended up asking for a refund. Overall, really disappointed because the shop has such a cute vibe, but the donuts just didn't live up to the hype. Sadly, I won't be coming back.
Had seen this repetitively on TikTok and could not resist. Tried a variety of things. Honey Biscuit Chicken Sandwich- this was good but not great or anything out of the ordinary. Between the honey and buttery biscuit it was a little much for my tasting. Loaded tots were good but nothing out of the ordinary deliciousness. The tots were likely just frozen tots with cheese, bacon , green onions and sour cream. We also partook in the cotton candy donut and the strawberry shortcake. They were prepared with a lot of care and the presentation was amazing. In my opinion the donut for taste was mid at best. Overall I give them props for presentation but taste was just okay in my opinion.
The space is cute with ample seating but was packed the entire time we were there! I got a Spanish latte and would recommend. My husband and I each ordered a donut, the spicy honeybird sandwich, the breakfast sandwich, and tater tots. I was thankful we ordered donuts because it took over 25 minutes to get our sandwich orders. By that time I was cranky so I forgot to snap pics. I will say the food was good enough that we dismissed the wait time. Our donuts were great, tots were what you'd expect, and while I got the breakfast sandwich- I can say I plan to return to get the fried chicken. Coming for the donuts alone is worth it. We will be back for more flavors!

I think the lower reviews are from when the place first opened! I stopped by here on a Monday morning and it made my day! There are a great variety of unique donuts (big ones, too), sandwiches, biscuits, taters/fries, tacos, and a whole selection of drinks!! I tried the Nutella Cronut and really enjoyed it! One of their signature drinks is a Sakura latte which was also just perfect - not too sweet. I'll be coming here frequently! There is a good amount of seating space here as well - to get work done or to meet friends!
I tried the new honeybird location in Plano while catching up with a friend. This is a donut shop with unique flavors and drinks as well. I got the blueberry cheesecake donut and the crème brûlée donut. The blueberry cheesecake donut actually tasted like blueberry but I couldn't taste the cheesecake part. The crème brûlée one did not have a strong crème brûlée flavor and the cream of it was very thin. Both donuts were also pretty dense and just a lot of bread. Overall I probably wouldn't come back

The setup and decor is very inviting, loved that they provide choices to sit inside or out on their shaded patio area. When we first got there yesterday, the young lady (skinny Caucasian woman) behind the counter didn't acknowledge or even speak to us until we asked if we could place an order. It was around 12:45/1pm so maybe she was about to get off, idk but it didn't leave the best impression as this was my first time coming here. My friend and I both ordered a donut, and I also ordered the dirtybird with a fried egg, fries, and two of their lemonades (strawberry and the butterfly pea mango). We sat down and caught up while waiting on our food. Will say, the sandwich and fries came out super fast and were both fresh. The sandwich was so good. Loved the sauce (aioli?) that came on it and the seasoning of the chicken. Fries looked super plain, but were actually well seasoned. Lemonades were Delicious! I finished my fairly quickly and forgot to snap a pic. Donuts were delicious too of course. There was another lady there who I assumed was the manager. She did not play about keeping the store clean, which I appreciated. The hour and a half we were there, I seriously don't think she stopped cleaning (outside of taking a few orders), so you can rest assured knowing you're not going to walk into a dirty environment. Went to visit one evening around 5pm but for some reason they were already trying to close. So we picked a couple of Cronuts to try and the lady behind the counter gave us a free one as she was really rushing to leave the store. It was kind of a rush experience that's why I'm just giving it a two stars. Maybe, if there's another time we can visit I can add another star but we will see. I'd probably would only comeback if I am in the area and not really by intention. read more

I saw this spot on instagram and had to check it out. The donuts and cronuts are beautiful. Unfortunately they dont taste as good as they look. After seeing this place on Instagram and reading Yelp reviews, we decided to try it out on a Sunday morning. As other Yelpers suggested, we ordered online ahead of time to shorten the wait time. Pick up times on the site were in 15 minute increments, but when we placed our order at 8:05 am, it automatically defaulted to a pick up time of 8:45 am. Forty minutes felt like a long time to wait for our Honey Biscuit Chicken Sandwiches! But, we went ahead and placed the order anyway. **Note that only sandwiches and drinks are available to order online. You cannot order donuts online.** Upon pickup, the wait time was short. Of course, we wanted to add donuts to our order, but we had to do two separate transactions to get both the biscuit sandwiches and a couple of donuts. Was all this worth the wait time? The Honey Biscuit Chicken Sandwich is definitely worth it! The biscuit was buttery perfection and the chicken was juicy and delicious. The sandwich could have used a bit more honey drizzle, but that might just be personal preference. ;-) We also tried the banana pudding and the maple pecan donuts. The maple pecan was good, but not spectacular. The banana pudding filling itself was tasty, but there was only a very thin amount in the donut. Other than the filling, the donut was plain and tasteless. It definitely needs more filling to be called banana pudding. Overall, the donuts fall short for the price point. We will go back for the biscuit and chicken and maybe try the lunch chicken sandwich with fries too! read more

The place is cute and the donuts are beautiful. Not sure it tasted as good as everything looked, though. We both loved our lattes (pistachio and banana bread, hot), but neither of us loved the breakfast sandwiches. I'm more of an egg sandwich girl, so I got the bacon egg and cheese. I didn't like the sauce on it, and the bacon was tough. Hubs had sausage egg and cheese, and he didn't like the sausage. We brought home donuts to share and reviews were mixed. Everything is gorgeous. The donuts are huge! But tastes were mixed for us, and it was much heavier a donut than I tend to like. Didn't like the crème brûlée at all. It's not a donut, it's a brioche bun. The lemon poppyseed was dense, but tasted better than the crème brulee. Hubs really liked the PBJ, and daughter loved the cookie butter. Apple pie was just ok, ended up tossing it. I would probably go back and try the chicken sandwich and the banana pudding donut that ran out just before we got to order. So... go for sure, and see what you think. Hope they do well. read more

The donuts are not too sweet and a great midday snack with tea or coffee. I have ordered on UberEats and have also picked them up in the restaurant before. This location is cute and it's easy to pick out your donuts and drinks. I usually order the Strawberry with sprinkles or regular glazed, but want to try some of their more creative options next time I go. I also occasionally order their tots and chicken which is also amazing. read more
What a welcome addition to our neighborhood! We have thoroughly enjoyed having such a fun, fresh, & affordable elevated donut shop in Plano. We have been several times and the service is fast and the overall vibe is minimal, but that's because the real star here is the donuts and coffee. The donuts... oh man the donuts are delicious and there are so many flavors, guaranteed to satisfy the whole fam! The coffee was strong & HOT... so be warned. We've tried a few of the breakfast sandwiches and they are large portions, the sauce is a little spicy and the bun is amazing! Will I go back? 100%, maybe tomorrow, who knows? Should you try it? Bought some donuts to go. There was a line when we came but it moved pretty quickly. - Berry cronut: 4 stars. Soft, layery & has good amount of cream on top. Would buy again! - Birthday cake donut: 3 stars. Their donuts texture leans on the dense side, which I'm not a big fan of, topped with frosting & sprinkles. Nothing special about this one. - Tiramisu: 2 stars. Presentation was nice & came with a squeeze bottle filled with black coffee inside. Unfortunately, the taste didn't win me over. Again, it's just the same dense donut topped with cream & sprinkled with coffee powder. I find the name misleading. When you're calling this a tiramisu donut, I'm expecting sweet, light texture and creaminess. Instead I got a bread soaked in bitter coffee. This concept could've worked better with a cronut or a cream-filled donut IMO. read more

I recently visited this new spot and was impressed by the beautiful display of donuts. The place was busy Sunday morning, which speaks to its popularity. The donuts were delicious, and the chicken sandwich was also great. However, I have to dock some stars due to the service at the register. The cashier seemed unfamiliar with the menu, didn't add what I had paid for to my order, and failed to mention that the chicken sandwich included a side, which could have been substituted. On top of that, she was not friendly and rushed through the interaction, adding to more confusion. The food was good, but I'd recommend better training for the staff--or perhaps assigning this cashier to a role behind the scenes. Service matters just as much as the food! Everything was so cute and the donuts looked amazing I got there in the morning on a Friday and most of the donuts were still there. We ordered a Banana Latte, two sandwiches, and two donuts. The banana bread latte is well spiced but doesn't remind me of banana bread. Closer to a cinnamon double espresso, which would be a better description. The sausage in the sausage egg is super dry and rubbery, had to take it out but the eggs were flavorful and fluffy. The biscuit was a touch dry and could use more honey, the chicken was fine for what it is but wouldn't order again for $8+. The donuts are perfect for a sweet treat, they're so sugary and decadent that you'll be happy with just a quarter of one. read more

Service was kind and the interior and exterior are both nicely decorated with a cool "Alice in Wonderland" theme. The donuts themselves are large and very light, so I appreciate that it's not too sweet. I would pass on the more savory food though. I ordered the honeybird biscuit sandwich, which I expected to be sweet due to the name, but it was quite drenched in honey, making it too sweet and also very messy to eat. The chicken itself was also thin, so I don't think it's worth the price. Would highly recommend the donuts and will be back to try more flavors! read more

When I say I'm craving a breakfast sandwich this is exactly what I mean! The thick cut bacon is to die for and the sauce they use is unique and delicious. I was in such awe of all the flavors and menu items I forgot to ask for the lady's name but she was super sweet and ready to answer all our questions! I'm glad they opened one up here in Plano I'll definitely be going back again... and again... and again! lol read more

Honeybird has a lovely atmosphere with plenty of comfortable seating that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy your visit. The donuts were beautifully decorated with vibrant colors, but unfortunately they tasted a bit old and had more of a dense cake-like texture than expected. The coffee was average, nothing special but not bad either. Overall it's a nice neighborhood café for the vibe, but I was hoping for fresher pastries given their focus on gourmet donuts. read more

I really wanted to love this place and was excited to try it after seeing it on Instagram. I drove all the way from the Love Field area to give it a shot, but unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Sandwich combo, but it wasn't spicy at all. After taking a few bites, I noticed the texture was off--chewy in some parts and tough in others. Then, I started feeling uneasy stomach aches and checked the sandwich, only to find that the chicken was undercooked. Serving undercooked chicken is a serious health concern, and I expected better quality control. I did appreciate the initial customer service they were welcoming , but overall, my experience left me disappointed. I hope they improve because I was really looking forward to enjoying this spot. read more

This was our first time trying Honey Bird, and we were really satisfied! The breakfast sandwiches are huge and definitely filling. The lattes were amazing--we tried the Banana Bread Latte and the Lotus Einspänner Latte. Friendly staff. The decor inside is super cute. We'll definitely be back to try more! read more

I had high hopes for this place but was sadly disappointed. Long wait time, most likely due to understaffing. The donuts were nothing to rave about, definitely more visually appealing. Seating area was a bit dirty and the chairs are uncomfortable, wouldn't recommend this place if you plan on being in there long. read more
