The biscuits per se are not so bad (and that's the only reason why I'm giving the 2 stars, otherwise it would have been no stars). The service, on the contrary, spoiled the experience for me and many other customers on the 20 min or so we stayed there. The woman at the cashier behaved as if it someone had dragged and forced her to work there (maybe they did, who knows...). No smiles, rolling eyes at customers, leaving the cashier unattended when there were customers in line. And didn't even apologize to the couple ahead of us who told her they did not get what they had ordered. Sad to say the guy prepping the biscuits was no different. What a disaster. These are not your typical biscuits... If you're hoping for the southern style flakey, layery, buttery kind, you will not find them here. These biscuits have more of a cakey texture and do not have much flavor. I got a butterhole to go with a side of butter, jam and honey (because I couldn't decide). The butter itself was very bland so I ended up using my own at home. The "local" jam was a packet of diner-style freezer jam. Granted, I got this at the farmer's market so maybe the restaurant serves homemade jam. The honey was really good so I was thankful I got that. I'm not entirely sure what people are bitching about in these 1-star reviews. So, you didn't like the biscuit... well, if you know anything about biscuits, you know that there are more than one kind of biscuit. There is no "gold standard" to which all biscuits should be held. Really really really disappointed with these butterhole biscuits. The texture was more bread than biscuit. No layers at all, definitely over-kneaded, and the biggest issue was the total lack of salt. A little bit of salt will not make your food taste salty, but it will make it taste more like an actual biscuit and less like...well... nothing. I ordered a oven fried chicken biscuit on what was supposed to be the pike place biscuit. It was served on the regular butterhole biscuit. I found the biscuit to be flavorless and over cooked, the chicken was so so and overall the biscuit sandwich was nothing to be remembered. Ordered the bacon biscuit. Flavorless to say the least. Two tiny pieces of bacon about the size of a bread crumb (no exaggeration). Was good sized, but for $7 when purchasing at the Folklife Festival it was a considerable disappointment (it was even heated, and still lousy). They have a wide selection of biscuit flavors and sandwiches. We ordered the vegetarian sandwich with mustard, cheese, tomato, onion, and micro greens. The filling to biscuit ration was off--there was too much biscuit or not enough filling. They also need a better queue system--the first few minutes was us just trying to figure out who was in line. So, My wife (we live in Belltown) and I decided to order a couple of Honest Biscuit sandwiches for a late breakfast. We ordered them through the Honest Biscuits app so they would be ready when we got there. Apparently, when you download the Honest biscuits app you are actually going through Chownow (mistake # 1) . We arrived within 20 minutes of ordering the biscuits, and decided to wait at the pick up station. After about 15 minutes, we realized that our biscuits were not prepared or being prepared. I jumped in the line 7 people deep and waited another 15 minutes to speak to the cashier (Mistake # 2). She informed me that she had no idea how the "order thing worked online". She then attempted to explain what the process for ordering within the line if I would like to do that. I asked if there was someone who knew anything about how the "order thing worked online" (Chownow app). One of the kids making the biscuits then came to the line, that was beginning to build, and reported that he had canceled the order. He informed me that they did not have the ham for one of the biscuits so he went and canceled the whole order. I asked him why he would cancel both biscuits if he only was lacking ingredients to make one. The biscuit boy had no reply. I told them that my credit card was charged and they, abruptly and rudely, instructed me to call Chownow (blame game). The kid reported it wasn't his fault he canceled the order and he was not able to cancel the charge. I asked the kid to see the manager, and he reported he wasn't there. I asked what the managers name was and he rolled his eyes and said Xavier. I proceeded to call Chownow (mistake # 3) whom reported it was Honest Biscuits mess-up (blame game) , they should not have canceled the order. Chownow reported that Honest Biscuits should have sent a text to me that they had canceled the order. Word to the wise, don't pre-order your food from Chownow or Honest Biscuits, it won't be ready when you get there. And, they really won't care! read more

Had their strawberry shortcake today with the vegan biscuit because they were out of the butter hole. Paid approximately $6.60 for it, but was surprised to find the shortcake was made with only 1/2 a small biscuit (measured only 2"x 2 1/2" x 1/2"), rather than an entire biscuit. Outside of the biscuit tasted dry, but inside was soft. Came with a small dollop of strawberry compote with chunks of strawberries and a small dollop of fresh whipped cream. Our family is visiting from Los Angeles. We wanted to get breakfast at Pike place market and this place popped up in maps. I will say that the food was really good, but it is hard to find if you are not familiar with the area. We each got a butter hole biscuit with eggs and sausage.
