Greatest Burger Ever and Parmesan Truffle Fries
    Audrey E.

Honest Abe's is great for a splurge meal. The food is delicious and you will get a lot of food included - but if you eat it all in one sitting you may start to feel it later (I recommend getting a to-go box). Their specialty burgers (particularly the Greatest Burger Ever and 1809 burger) are worth the upgrade, as are the truffle fries. I prefer this location to others because of ease of access and the great vibes upstairs. Service is reasonably fast, but I always order online if I'm taking it to go to make sure I get my food faster.

Randomly stopped in here because it was open and we were hungry. I ordered the 1809 because it sounded good. Smoky mayo, bacon, apples, what's not to like. I also ordered the cinnamon apple tea. It was a bit on the sweet side but tasty nonetheless. Now let's get to this burger... amazing!! It was a little more done than I would have liked but it didn't get into dry territory. The smoky mayo, with the bacon and apples are a winning combination! I enjoyed that burger so much! I'd eat that everyday if I could. And the fries are also great! Thin, crispy, salty goodness. Great fries, great burger. Can't wait to return!!

It was me and girlfriends first time trying Honest Abe's and it was the best experience ever and the guy that helped us infront was so nice and really helpful on what to get. Got the Greatest burger ever and it was the most delicious burger I've ever had in a while. And the inside was so calm and aesthetic. Will come again to try more things!!!

The jalapeño burger was incredible--smoky, charred flavor you can taste in every bite. The heat from the jalapeños was just right, adding a bold kick without overpowering the juicy, well-seasoned patty. The truffle fries were crispy, aromatic, and rich without being heavy. On top of the amazing food, the service was great--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The atmosphere was cute and inviting with plenty of seating, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Comfort food elevated to the next level. Would absolutely order again!

Love the vibe the building gives! It's a mixture of new age Americana with an old building to house it. I've never had a bad time or burger from this place at any location. The burgers are always delicious, fries are always hot, and the whole building just feels lively. Extra points for making fries so good that my autistic son ate not only his, but he was stealing mine too. Service is pretty quick and you're not really bothered throughout your meal.

Super friendly staff! Pictured is the kids sized burger which was perfect for me. The awesome sauce has a garlic taste but nothing too overpowering. Everything about this burger was just perfect, great bun, perfect amount of ketchup, burger was cooked well done but not dry, and just enough caramelized onions. The fries were on the done side and slightly cold but they weren't too greasy and tasted great! Everything was reasonably priced. Super cool Abraham Lincoln decor everywhere

I will start by saying I am not usually a burger fan but was told this place has super good burgers. I got the fireside without the lime stuff on it and it was GOOD! Service was great the young gentlemen working the cashier was great to explain how the menu works and how the menu rotates and everything. We dined in upstairs and it was a cute place! The only suggestions I have would to be give more sauce in the sauce containers and a maybe a bit more fries! Was definitely a filling burger. Also there was unlimited refills which is always a plus. Definitely make a stop by here if you're in town and want a yummy burger and fries.

I've been holding on this review for several months because I've been busy. But I have finally gotten a chance to come back and give this restaurant the review it deserves. I've eaten at one of the other locations before, but this was my first time at this location. My son and I stopped here on the way to an event in Lincoln. We came around lunch time, and the restaurant was fairly busy. Full, but not a long wait for a table. My son and I placed our order and sat down. He ordered the Lil' Kids Meal Hamburger with ketchup and mustard and fries ("Freedom Fries"). He also got a Birthday Cake Shake. For my meal, I went with the Hammer of Thor - a burger with chipotle cream cheese, brussel sprouts, bacon mayonnaise, and pepper jack cheese. For mine, I subbed in the parmesan truffle fries. The menu here is simple. Ten or so burgers that all sound awesome, get it as a single or a double, and sub a vegan or chicken breast patty at no charge. They have fries and tater tots (plain or parm garlic) plus loaded fries ("Blazing Saddles"). The parm fries dunked in Abe's Sauce is the way to go (for adults, sub ranch if you are a kid or kid-at-heart). The only downside to our visit was the wait time. As mentioned, it was lunch time, the place was full, all food places are short-staffed, and they are making things fresh (even your fries). We waited about 20-25 minutes and with all that figured, the wait seemed reasonable to me. If you want fresh food, it's worth the wait and you need to eat here! Liam at a fair amount of food for him, but he's a very light eater so I finished all three of his items. The burger was a bit dry and not my choice of toppings, but for a kid's meal burger, it was acceptable. I give it a 7/10. The fries (both types) are exceptional here. The regular ones are seasoned with salt and crispy, and the parmesan truffle fries are crispy and smothered with parmesan and seasoning. Very delicious - even though they dump it in the middle, there is more than enough for all your fries. And the portions of fries are very good here too. I give the fries a 10/10. As for the shake, they really are not my thing. And chewing through sprinkles seems kind of weird, but the flavor was good. Liam gave this an 8/10. Kids meal hamburger and fries Hammer of Thor, combo, sub parm truffle fries Birthday cake freedom shake TOTAL: $26.24

I have always been a big fan of Honest Abe's since living in Lincoln while in college. Who could forget the chokehold that truffle fries had on us. Besides the truffle fries, Honest Abe's creates one of the best burgers ever in my opinion. I love that they have a rotating menu whilst also having a standard menu depending on your mood. Never disappoints and is one of my favorites.

    Esther's Tropical Misadventure
    Haylee M.

Picked up burgers and salad here for lunch on our last day in Lincoln, Nebraska. Best meal we could have picked for the road-trip out. My fiance and I both got the Esther's Tropical Misadventure - mine was grilled chicken patty and his was beef. Toppings: Canadian Bacon, Orange Marmalade, Spinach, Potato Sticks, Marley Sauce (mayonnaise/sour cream/jerk seasoning/lime/spices). To be honest, we both loved our burgers. Only difference between them was that the chicken breast was more dense and burger felt more substantial. His absolutely just melted away (in a good way). All the toppings went so well together with the burger. We were not expecting that - But I guess considering this is the 4th, Honest Abe's experience we've had, We should have known it would be good. We also got side salads with Abe's dressing. I usually go for the sweet apple vinaigrette but went for Abe's this time after realizing that it was a subtle curry flavored dressing. Such a good one!

Always a solid choice in Lincoln!!! I love the rotating menu ... had to try the fungus abundance ... yummm mushrooms & spinach. Can argue with myself this is a healthier option!!! Our daughter loved the apple sweet tea!! The beer on tap was great as well. Ohhh and did I mention the seasoned tater tots!!!! Ok needless to say we LOVE it as well as everyone always in line

Good burger, cold fries, good beer.

All were delicious and I would have each based on my mood. My starter drink was a Blueberry Mojito, which hit the spot. Rum, blueberry, lime, mint, and soda. Refreshing, mild, and on ice. My wife had a cucumber gimlet. "It was incredible." Food started with a unique "flight of three" soups. We each got to taste the Lobster Bisque, French Onion, and Roasted Red Pepper Gouda soups. We each picked the French Onion as the clear winner, but the others were expertly made and tasty. My entree was a starter offering, the Tuna Poke Bowl. Scrumptious, light, and filling. Served chilled in a stone bowl with chips. The Atlantic Cod and chips were great, with a couple of dipping sauces. Perfectly fried. The third dish was a lunch special, it was a pasta dish with sun dried tomatoes, roasted baby tomatoes, in a red sauce sprinkled with feta cheese. This was so good. We broke down and ordered desserts. The Green Gateau cake is chocolatey with a hint of pistachios. Also had the Apricot Napoleon Torte which is baked up in Omaha and is renowned. Service was superb, thank you Ben! with a relaxing atmosphere, classy decorations, and fun time. We will be back!

I didn't drink, but my friends had lots of lovely concoctions floating around. We shared the Parmesan Sirloin Fondue as an appetizer and WOW--this was a favorite. The house-made green chile cheese dip is basically a spicy, savory roux topped with crispy steak tips. It was rich, a little spicy, and incredibly satisfying. I really loved this and would absolutely order it again. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan, and it came with a nice, thick piece of chicken--always appreciated. The San Marzano tomato sauce was good and flavorful, and the dish was well-balanced overall. I'm a little picky about breading, and I didn't love it but flavor-wise it's spot on. I had total plate envy for the teriyaki steak bowl. It looks phenomenal and I will definitely be ordering that next time. One friend had the Moody Bleu Burger (without the jalapeños) and said it was still a bit spicy but tasty overall. Another friend ordered the Veggie Burger, and she said it was really good. She often orders veggie burgers and felt this one held its own. Someone else at the table compared it to the veggie burger at Leadbelly, with high praise. The Bistro Burger was also a hit flavor-wise--Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, and mushrooms worked well together--but the only downside was that the bottom bun got pretty soggy. Fleetwood is definitely worth checking out, and it's a little bit tricky to find, but it's right under the bridges under O St.

It's almost like they tried to make it more "fancy" (yellow bell pepper, herb sauce) when all you really need is the essentials. The highlight of this meal was definitely the french onion soup, it was perfectly burned with plenty of Gruyère cheese, loaded with onions. Pricing for the wagyu Philly ($14) is pretty reasonable as this came with a side. The soup was $8 which is a bit pricy for just a side of soup, although it was a pretty solid bowl. I also got a blackberry mule, it was okay but seemed a bit watered down. Service was pretty lackluster and the reason this review stands at a 2. It is 6 o'clock on a Tuesday night and it is my table and one other in the restaurant. The floor is carpeted and there are booths along the wall as well as many tables 6 top and four tops. The silverware is located in a cigar box on the table. The menu is viewed by scanning a QR code. You may ask for a paper menu as well. We ordered 6 wings half with barbecue sauce and half with Annie B's sauce. Annie B's sauce is a combination of honey mustard and barbecue sauce. We also ordered the Haystack barbecue chicken sandwich to share. It comes with fries. You're able to substitute it for mashed potatoes, green beans or you can get salad bar, or you may get mac & cheese. Not sure if the last two are an up charge or not The servers periodically get up on stage and sing. They will take requests. The barbecue wings are very good. They are double fried which gives a crisp outside skin. Comes with three celery sticks. The blue cheese and the ranch dressing are very thin. Very runny. Not much flavor to the salad dressing. Chicken sandwich is a very thin piece of chicken. I think it has too much barbecue sauce. I do like the smoked Gouda on it. However, the sandwich was cold. It should be a hot sandwich and it would get a much higher rating if it were served hot. The french fries are a thick cut curly fry. They have great flavor and great crunch. It's nice to bite into a fry and feel the meat of the potato. The wait staff is kind and they all help each other. They take turns going up and singing. It could be a request or something they choose. Oddly enough, the four songs that we recommended they knew none. So we told them to pick some thing of their own liking. Overall, the food was much better than I anticipated. Out of five stars, I would give the wings five stars but the chicken sandwich would be a 3 1/2, because it was served cold and the chicken was thin and dry. The french fries were a five. Service was definitely a five. The staff is very friendly. This would be a fun place to visit with people from out of town. It is unique to the area and the food overall was worth going back for.
