Today is game day in nebraska. And it was very crowded. We were really lucky as a table just cleared. We waited for about 5 min for that table to be cleaned up and was ushered to our seat. We lucked out- our table was by the window with a view of the street Our server was very nice. And we got our drinks and food very quickly. I got me the gateau iced tea- that was their special and it tasted wonderful. It was sugar free strawberry and apricot tea. Delicious. And I got me a lobster bisque and crabcake sliders The lobster bisque was delicious. Wonderful and creamy and tastefully seasoned. The crabcake sliders were delicious. Crabcakes were nicely sautéed with crispy edges. The croissants were flakey. Combined- heaven on earth. For desserts, our server actually presented all available desserts on a tray and introduced them all to us. Spoilt for choice I finally picked the green gateau their specialty choc cake with pistachio cream - it was delicious and rich. I loved it - though we just couldn't finish it. We will be back. It was a very enjoyable experience. Definitely 5 stars for us

Ummm....wouldn't recommend brunch here, at least not take out. We had seven meals for takeout. The portion size seemed more suitable for kids meals than adult dishes. For example, I got the French Slam, which was French toast, eggs, and bacon. It included French toast from ONE slice of bread, ONE piece of bacon, and one egg. Not only was this a ridiculous portion, but it didn't include anything to put on top...butter, syrup, jam...anything?? Additionally, several members of our party had missing or incorrect sides. I expected a lot more from this restaurant and was honestly kind of embarrassed presenting this to our family.

Came here on a Monday afternoon for lunch and it wasn't too busy. Got seated right away and given menus. I ordered the French Connection Sandwich with a cup of Lobster Bisque. The bisque was okay, thick soup with a hint of seafood flavor. The sandwich was great! The bread was toasted on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside and handled the pot roast and mushroom gravy really well. I think the bacon and lettuce were unnecessary, but still ate it all. Fed me for two full meals. Would come back just for the sandwich alone. The desserts also looked really good, but that will have to wait for another time.

Of scale restaurant perfect for an evening out I guess the most dependent on your server I want to order the beef. Wellington was a disappointment. Beef cut was a mediocre cut have any topping to it crust was dry. Penne sauce was good. Lobster bisque was tasty, but had a commercial texture to it

My favorite brunch in Lincoln when I visit. My favorites are the bloody Mary, the croque monsieur, rueben sandwich, and their lobster bisque with a salad. It is always hard to choose. I have never had anything I didn't like. On this occasion I had the monsieur and my husband had a rueben. The rueben is definitely one of the top 10 I have ever had. If you are a rueben fan, do yourself a favor and order it! Reservations are helpful!

My favorite restaurant in Lincoln. Very cute and cozy, could be for a fancy occasion or casual, equally as good for brunch or dinner. I get the beignets every time, they are incredible. Service is great and everyone is very nice.

Excellent meal, atmosphere and service. If you do have a reservation, still plan for a short wait. This appears to be a popular venue! We enjoyed a starter including fresh table-side prepared guacamole, which was a fun and delicious choice served with freshly fried flour tortilla chips. The black and blue ribeye special was outstanding, along with an excellent wine pairing. My wife and I were very pleased with the waitstaff as well. Professional and fun.

Busy lunchtime here today. Wagu burger, rare, blue cheese, jalapenos, bacon jam?? never had that. Hot ham and cheese sandwich also. Croque Monsieur. Nice streetside setting. Dessert case looks ok/good but nothing stands out for me as a must have. All is excellent and was quick to our table.

Definitely, yes! We walked in for Sunday brunch and waited more than an hour, along with lots of other poor planners. :P

I didn't drink, but my friends had lots of lovely concoctions floating around. We shared the Parmesan Sirloin Fondue as an appetizer and WOW--this was a favorite. The house-made green chile cheese dip is basically a spicy, savory roux topped with crispy steak tips. It was rich, a little spicy, and incredibly satisfying. I really loved this and would absolutely order it again. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan, and it came with a nice, thick piece of chicken--always appreciated. The San Marzano tomato sauce was good and flavorful, and the dish was well-balanced overall. I'm a little picky about breading, and I didn't love it but flavor-wise it's spot on. I had total plate envy for the teriyaki steak bowl. It looks phenomenal and I will definitely be ordering that next time. One friend had the Moody Bleu Burger (without the jalapeños) and said it was still a bit spicy but tasty overall. Another friend ordered the Veggie Burger, and she said it was really good. She often orders veggie burgers and felt this one held its own. Someone else at the table compared it to the veggie burger at Leadbelly, with high praise. The Bistro Burger was also a hit flavor-wise--Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, and mushrooms worked well together--but the only downside was that the bottom bun got pretty soggy. Fleetwood is definitely worth checking out, and it's a little bit tricky to find, but it's right under the bridges under O St.

The head chef stopped by our table to personally explain the two specials for the evening, which was a great touch and made the meal feel much more personal. We started with the potato cakes, and they were excellent -- perfectly crispy on the outside, tender inside, and topped with sour cream that brought everything together. A simple appetizer done really well. For our entrées, I had the pasta special and my wife ordered the Chef's Chicken. Both dishes came out hot and were full of flavor. You could tell everything was freshly prepared and thoughtfully executed. We were genuinely impressed with both meals. The service was just as strong as the food. The wait staff checked on us regularly, kept our water glasses full, and were attentive without being intrusive. Overall, L's Kitchen delivers outstanding food and hospitality in a comfortable, refined atmosphere. We'll definitely be back again.

It's almost like they tried to make it more "fancy" (yellow bell pepper, herb sauce) when all you really need is the essentials. The highlight of this meal was definitely the french onion soup, it was perfectly burned with plenty of Gruyère cheese, loaded with onions. Pricing for the wagyu Philly ($14) is pretty reasonable as this came with a side. The soup was $8 which is a bit pricy for just a side of soup, although it was a pretty solid bowl. I also got a blackberry mule, it was okay but seemed a bit watered down. Service was pretty lackluster and the reason this review stands at a 2. We came midday past any viable lunch rush (130pm onward) so it was us and maybe 1-2 other tables. Taking that into consideration service should have been much better. Our server (he) was impersonal and unbothered by doing more than the bare minimum. Water wasn't ever refilled and he was inattentive unless we asked for something, but was quick to grab the checkbooks after. Per their website, Monday is all day happy hour, but we received no HH discount on the drinks. Every visit seems to create another unforgettable memory. One of my clients' families especially loved kids' night, and it turned into such a fun and memorable experience for them. As for my own family, we've learned to schedule later dinner reservations because once we're there, it's hard to leave! Some of my sweetest memories are from bringing my mother here while she was still with us. We often ended up being the last ones there at closing because we were enjoying ourselves so much. Kevin and his staff were always incredibly gracious, never making us feel rushed, and consistently treating us like family. That kindness leaves a lasting impression. Reading some of the less-than-positive reviews honestly surprises me because our experience over the years has been consistently wonderful. We've always received excellent service, enjoyed the entertainment, appreciated the comfortable atmosphere and beautiful views from every table, and loved the nostalgia throughout the restaurant and memorabilia. And the food? Absolutely enjoyable every time. Considering the unique experience, atmosphere, entertainment, and very reasonable pricing, I think expectations should be balanced accordingly. Personally, I genuinely enjoy the food here -- often more than at many other restaurants in town. This place is special, and we will continue making memories here for years to come.

It is 6 o'clock on a Tuesday night and it is my table and one other in the restaurant. The floor is carpeted and there are booths along the wall as well as many tables 6 top and four tops. The silverware is located in a cigar box on the table. The menu is viewed by scanning a QR code. You may ask for a paper menu as well. We ordered 6 wings half with barbecue sauce and half with Annie B's sauce. Annie B's sauce is a combination of honey mustard and barbecue sauce. We also ordered the Haystack barbecue chicken sandwich to share. It comes with fries. You're able to substitute it for mashed potatoes, green beans or you can get salad bar, or you may get mac & cheese. Not sure if the last two are an up charge or not The servers periodically get up on stage and sing. They will take requests. The barbecue wings are very good. They are double fried which gives a crisp outside skin. Comes with three celery sticks. The blue cheese and the ranch dressing are very thin. Very runny. Not much flavor to the salad dressing. Chicken sandwich is a very thin piece of chicken. I think it has too much barbecue sauce. I do like the smoked Gouda on it. However, the sandwich was cold. It should be a hot sandwich and it would get a much higher rating if it were served hot. The french fries are a thick cut curly fry. They have great flavor and great crunch. It's nice to bite into a fry and feel the meat of the potato. The wait staff is kind and they all help each other. They take turns going up and singing. It could be a request or something they choose. Oddly enough, the four songs that we recommended they knew none. So we told them to pick some thing of their own liking. Overall, the food was much better than I anticipated. Out of five stars, I would give the wings five stars but the chicken sandwich would be a 3 1/2, because it was served cold and the chicken was thin and dry. The french fries were a five. Service was definitely a five. The staff is very friendly. This would be a fun place to visit with people from out of town. It is unique to the area and the food overall was worth going back for.
