I absolutely LOVED the food! Me and my family got the When Pigs Fly and it was amazing. Our waiters were Henry and Cash. Henry is in his training and Cash was along side to help him. They were both extremely kind and really made our experience here even better!! When you walk in you feel welcomed and happy to eat some delicious food. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a quick breakfast or brunch in Lincoln. Love, Zozo!! read more

If I had to describe my Early Bird dining experience in one word, it would be flavorful! From my non-alcoholic peppermint schnapps to the gravy smothered on my perfectly cooked chicken fried steak, it's safe to say my family and I will be returning to this restaurant. The employees were friendly and helpful as it was our first time there. The restaurant is cozy, welcoming and very family friendly. I ordered the chicken fried steak and my husband ordered the chilaquiles. Both dishes hit the spot. Their menu selection is huge. We're looking forward to coming back here with our daughter. read more

The host and hostess said it would take 20 minutes to get seated. After an hour and a half of waiting, and being told we would be seated soon, we ended up leaving. Would have loved to leave a review, but didn't get to try the food after being misled about when we would get seated! Definitely will not be coming back. read more

This place is busy!!!!! The parking lots here are shared with the hosting complex it is under. Tip: make a reservation. The online waitlist only works for up to 6 ppl. For more than 6 ppl, please call and make a reservation. We had 8 and my sis in law called in to make a reservation. And thank god we did that! We waited for about 10 minutes before we got a table for 8 For a busy place, they were running very efficiently. From order to our food being delivered- we were out of there in about 45 minutes. There is a variety of seating. They have two outdoor areas. One covered patio with fans, and the second is just open patio. Indoor- they have bar seating and regular tables. Very clean in the reataurant. And it is bigger than previously imagined They even have full bar. Our server ally- she was fantastic. She kept checking on us. And making sure we were getting what we needed. I got what I wanted which was an iced coffee with milk and a crabcake benny. My crabcake benny was fantastic. My first impression of my benny was that there was very little crabcake. But looking at the cross section, they appeared to have pressed the muffin downwards and just scooped it all on there. Taste is fantastic. We will be back Just wondering if they are dog friendly. read more

My friends and I came here before heading to Omaha Airport. None of us had ever tried this place yet. We had great service by our waitress Patience. The restaurant was very clean, warm, and welcoming. It was very busy here but we got in right away. The breakfast items here were amazing! I had a Carmel hot Latté and a regular coffee refill to drink. They had coffee and hot chocolate. Yummy for a cold and lightly rainy day. One friend and I both ordered the Early Bird Combo French toast. I had eggs over medium smoked bacon as my protein. Our other friend had the Crème Brûlée French Toast with sausage and gravy hash browns. Overall was a great visit! We will be back again!!! read more

Came here on a Sunday morning and it was quite busy. It was around a 30 minute wait. I wish someone told me that you can just walk up to the bar if you didn't want to wait for a table, but I had already been waiting a while when I noticed. I got the bluebird drink which had blueberry, lemonade, and ginger. It was sweet and refreshing. I got the chicken fried chicken for breakfast with hash browns and over medium eggs, no bread. Everything was nicely seasoned and delicious. The whole restaurant was packed the whole time I was here. Definitely recommend getting on the wait-list on Yelp before you even get there on a weekend. read more

This is a cool restaurant. Colorful and modern. Decently large menu. Service was great. Attentive and accurate. Prices are...well too much for breakfast. BUT everywhere is too much for breakfast. So if you are going to pay for breakfast you may as well do it here . The food is delicious. I'll be back. read more

Delicious! Service was exceptional. Wait time was a little lengthy but that's cuz they are a hit and everyone wants to go there! Lol read more

Love the food and the quality! The ONLY downside is the wait times. Their phone number and answering machine tells you to book a reservation off Yelp but when I went in and asked about it they said they use Toast now to book reservations. They should definitely update that soon. I've waited anywhere between 35 minutes to 3 hours for a table. Good food, but without a reservation I wouldn't probably go since lines are always very long. read more

If you're looking for the perfect brunch spot in Lincoln, look no further than Early Bird! From the moment you walk in, the vibe is bright, fun, and welcoming. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel right at home. The food? Absolutely delicious. Their [choose one you had or would sound good: chicken fried steak & the omelettes is a must-try--it's packed with flavor and the portions are generous. Pair it with one of their signature brunch cocktails or a perfectly brewed coffee, and you're set for the best start to your day. What I loved most was the atmosphere--it's upbeat without being overwhelming, and perfect for birthdays, catching up with friends, or a cozy brunch date. Lincoln is lucky to have a place like this! Whether you're a Husker fan in town for a game or a local just craving something special, Early Bird is a brunch experience you won't forget. Highly recommend--you'll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit! read more

Always great food and service! A classic breakfast is my go to, but the chicken fried steak never disappoints. If you come on a weekend, expect a wait, but you can easily join their waitlist in advance. read more

Service is great and plenty of parking! But I would not return for the food: Way too spicy, despite there was no description on the menu of pepper and/or hot sauce on my plate. Even the hash browns were loaded on pepper and undercooked. Biscuits were tasteless and coffee it not truly espresso, comes from lavazza machines. They also charge extra for credit card use despite there is no note on the menu or around the restaurant that they do that. Also watch your bill; server gave to me with 30% tip already selected read more

I honestly picked the worse time to order... it was on a Sunday pre/post-church, and probably a whole bunch of people there for brunch, I almost could not get a parking spot. Anyways, picked up my order, brought it home, meal was incredibly mid. Everything was still warm when I got home, but the quality of the meal and stress was not worth $50 for one person in my opinion. I hope to give this place another chance in person. The environment seemed welcoming, but you could tell there was a lot of stress because of how insanely busy it was. read more

Great food. Good service. I had the steak egg and cheese beagle sandwich which was good. My wife ordered the breakfast nachos, which was amazing! Only thing was that since the nachos were listed as an appetizer she got her meal before everybody else. read more

This is one of my favorite spots to go with the girls. I always order the cinnamon roll pancakes for the table because they are too much to eat if you want to order anything else on the menu! Going in now as first time testing experience. Not the better expresso machine but adequate. She allowed help with honey into Americano! Wow on foods quality and portion sizes. Really good. Really!! read more

I checked out this place after the local half marathon in Lincoln. There were so many options on the menu. I was intrigued by the jalepeno hash holes so I went ahead and ordered them. Stopped in for a quick breakfast before leaving Lincoln. It was a super cute spot and my friend I was visiting said it's his favorite brunch spot in Lincoln. The menu is huge with a variety of options. I got the Ham I Am Benny. It was really good. It had a really thick piece of ham on it. The plate comes with hash browns. They were okay a little under seasoned but really crunchy. Our server was super nice and the food came out quickly. They also have a free parking lot which is always a plus. Overall, super good experience. I'd recommend checking it out. read more

Excellent. TLDR I'd actually call this 4 1/2 stars. Very good food. Cool design/decor/ambiance. Not super efficient. Good, fair value for the price but not what I'd call an "amazing deal." The space is awesome, design and decor feels like a 50's diner but in its absolute prime. The food was very good. I had the bacon flat bread and my wife had the frenched cinnamon roll. (Her's was better than mine.) I'd say it was on par with the price, it's on the pricier side for brunch and you get what you pay for, but I wouldn't call it a superb value. I'm docking them a bit because it was a long wait, especially for being, I'd say "busy enough but not totally slammed." Also because I tried to call ahead multiple times and their phone system wasn't working - the first time just kept ringing for a long time and the second time automatically hung up on me. So... 4 1/2 stars. Very good food. Cool design/decor/ambiance. Not uber efficient. read more

Oh my ! What can I say very disappointed First, we ordered an appetizer that we never got. We were so excited to try this place and were very disappointed! I ordered AM pot pie and the gravy, hash browns and eggs were cold. I finally got our servers attention and sent it back. My brother had the Ultimate French toast that sounded so good! The bread was hard (stale?) and could barely cut it with a knife, and the whole dish was barely warm. My sister had avocado toast which tasted good but her eggs were cold. When my dish came back from the kitchen MY eggs were cold so they brought 2 more eggs and THEY were cold!! The service by Alli was truly awful AND she was training a server!! She didn't check to see how things were, didn't offer to take anything off for the cold food we didn't enjoy. When they brought the $67 check not one offer to make things right. We said we will pay it but we will never be back. Menu has wonderful options but if they can't cook it properly the choices don't matter! So dissatisfied and disappointed! read more

Restaurant is clean, nice and spacious with a lot of seating. Parking lot is shared with other businesses but really big with lots of open spots. Menu is diverse with many different things to choose from. Service is average and I'm sure most items on menu are great but I personally wouldn't order the El Gordo Burrito again however I would return to try something else. read more

Very trendy place for breakfast or brunch, freshly opened. Took the family there for Easter brunch so was extremely busy, our server Eric was outstanding, very friendly, he took his time explaining the menu even though he was swamped. The order came out perfect nothing missing, Eric made sure we had everything we needed. The food was amazing, wonderful flavors, cooked perfectly with very large portions. I would say the prices are a little high for breakfast but closer for brunch/lunch. Will definitely be back, great additional to Lincoln!! read more

In town driving through from Colorado, we have awesome breakfast places there and Early Bird did not disappoint!! Who knew Lincoln would have this amazing place to stop at. It's a great brunch spot! I got the Chilaquiles which is new on their menu and my boyfriend got the hangover burger which he has gotten before from this place because he LOVED the bacon jam. He was pretty skeptical of it so he initially ordered it to the side but now he gets it in his burger. The chilaquiles are a great Americanized version of the authentic Mexican chilquiles and the plate is big enough for two. We also order two alcoholic beverages- the bluebird and I forgot the name of the orange drink but it had vanilla vodka and it was very good! read more

A party of one is just as important as a party of 4 or 6. At least that was what I was taught in food service. My waiter took 17 mins to come to my table for one, while two tables of 3 and 3 got full service after I arrived. Food was ok. read more
