Went in for breakfast. They do have a dedicated parking lot for them. Breakfast was very busy. We were waiting for one more of our party. We had 6 in our party. By the time the last person in our party came, they were getting really busy. We placed our orders and waited about half hour for our food. We didn't really mind as we were having conversations at our table. However if you were hungry or in a rush, this is not the place to be. The glasses of water we got in our party were cracked. I'd recommend they check to make sure that their cutlery and glasses are still usable prior to serving with them. My food was delicious just that the crepe was a little overdone. My mother and I have been here a few several other times, and each time we have came we have been greeted with smiles. Almost all the servers tend to be younger, but they have been extremely attentive and pleasant. This place is on the far opposite side of town from me so in combination with their limited hours I don't make it here too often. It's always packed and the clientele tends older so it can be really loud inside but that doesn't bother me personally too much. We always pass this place when we come into Lincoln and discuss trying it one day. So today we decided to stop and give it a go. We were seated immediately, our drink order taken and brought to us quickly. Staff was super friendly and checked on us throughout our meal. Husband ordered the ham and cheese omelette with hashbrowns and I ordered that farmhand breakfast. Our food was delivered to our table fairly quickly and hot and fresh. We visited Greenfields for a little birthday breakfast before heading to Roca Berry Farm for the day. I had the country fried steak and eggs which came with hash browns and pancakes. The food was delicious! I ordered up and got the pumpkin pancakes, which were very tasty and it came with a yummy sauce (instead of syrup) and nutmeg whipped cream. The gravy on the steak was nicely seasoned and one of my favorite things were the hash browns, which are usually very tasteless and unmemorable but not at Greenfield's! We had a busy two year old with us who was loud and bossy and I commend the server on being on top of it all. She did a great job getting the things we needed and keeping our drinks full. My only complaint was that the prices were kind of high but that's probably why there's a little more flavor and quality to the food then other breakfast diners. We'll return! read more

My wife has been wanting to try this when we come up for Husker game days so we finally did. I had biscuits and gravy which were described as large and fluffy (/not large and not fluffy), hash-browns which were delicious and two fried eggs (no one screws that up). From the outside, it seems like a Perkins or a Village Inn. The decor is subtle, chain restaurant style - the menu is unassuming and you think you're going to get a "truck stop style" meal. Greenfield's is my Sunday morning breakfast stop once per year when I visit a friend in Lincoln. The menu is a bit perkinsy, for lack of a better term, but I did make an important discovery yesterday - they make crepes! In fact, buried in the bottom of the menu there is the 'swedish combo', with a bunch of bacon and/or sausage, eggs however you want them, hashbrowns, and crepes. I find endless toast and pancake options tiresome, so the option of crepes was rather welcome, and as a bonus, they were really quite good. The hashbrowns weren't particularly crispy or well seasoned, but this is Nebraska, plain is the rule by and large. Decent coffee, great service, just a good - if somewhat standard midwestern - family restaurant. Try the crepes! read more

Had a family gathering breakfast here. My initial impression was it used to be an iHop maybe, but I don't know. The decor was very nice though, and the restaurant seemed well kept and clean. I thought that our food was very good. Definitely a couple steps up from iHop or the like. They had a great selection of breakfast offerings and while the coffee is very good, a birthday breakfast toast was rather fun to have! We were seated immediately by a very nice hostess/waitress. Our waitress however had too many tables and not a lot of time. My husband ordered a Rachel and got a Ruben, he also asked for a side salad to be served before his meal. It came out with the meal. Not a huge deal. I ordered the chicken salad on a croissant with a cup of tomato bisque soup. The chicken salad was good. Although I did ask for the soup prior to the meal, again everything came out at once. Breakfast potato dishes are either undercooked or soggy, not crispy as they should be. Spices are way off. Breading on chicken fried steak overly salty. It has great Belgium waffles but they have bad hosts and they crossed our names off the list even though we were sitting there. Marlin was so nice(our waitress ) and she gave us free drinks.
