Stopped by to eat breakfast and the waitress messed up on our order twice. I think that she is new so I ate what was brought out to me so I didn't have to wait during the busy breakfast hours. The food was good. I ordered chicken fried steak breakfast and my husband ordered the steak omelette (was given a steak breakfast burrito). I switched with him and it tasted fine. I was a frequent customer at this restaurant. Service has gone downhill fast. They messed up my order today and wait staff argued with me; claimed I received what I ordered. Management was less than helpful. She told me I would receive a discount on my tab, but instead charged me full price and included a $10 gift card for a future visit. No thanks. Food is fine. I have eaten here a handful of times over the course of them opening in Lincoln. Each and every time I have been less than satified. I have eaten there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Today was breakfast. The prices are way too high for what you get and the type of service you get. For breakfast you get 2 eggs, with any two sides for $8,49 and that doesn't even inlcude your coffee, that is an additional $2.50. That is way too much for breakfast!! Then you can't get refills on coffee because the waitress never checks back with you and the other waitresses in the area only focus on their own tables instead of offering more coffee to others when they have the pot in their hand. I ordered my eggs over medium and they came out over hard and had absolutely NO flavor! The toast was not toasted it was just like bread right out of the package with very little butter. I got to overhear two waitresses get into it and watch them glare at each other because the waitress station is right there in the open. Needless to say for 3 of us to have breakfast there today for $38 + and the tacky wait staff our family will NOT be going back to this place again ever! read more

We ate here for dinner one night while in town because it was across from out hotel. The atmosphere was clean but felt outdated to me. Our waitress was nice but when we asked for local beer suggestions she simply claimed that she didn't drink beer so she had no idea. I myself have worked at restaurants before and this is not an acceptable answer, even if you don't drink you should know what the make up of a beer and how to describe it as well as what other customers of yours have liked in the past. We ordered the mozzarella sticks for an appetizer which were clearly frozen and reheated. My husband had the fish and chips which was decent but very bland and I had a pasta dish with cherry tomatoes and basil. It had zero flavor and I was forced to use more salt than I would normally like. The waiter station is located through the dead center of the restaurant which I am generally not a fan of because you can hear everything they say or watch them texting. I am not ignorant enough to know that these conversations/checking your phone don't happen, we all do it! But I would rather not hear or watch. read more

We stopped in for dinner last week. They weren't very busy as it was later in the evening. Both of us had the roast beef sandwich. I ordered a side salad and apparently got the salad instead of the mashed potatoes and corn. Ok, waited long enough, so I wasn't sending it back. The beef was tough and chewy and the gravy was like jello, solid. The food was lukewarm to cool. Then as we went to pay, their machines went down and so we just had to sit and wait until it came back up or something. They ran the cards through the old type machine with the carbon paper and we finally could leave. I don't think we will be back any time soon. This is an okay place for breakfast (especially on a snow day) as the menu has lots of options and the crepes are decent. The atmosphere and preparation of food are definitely geared towards an older audience (or little kids). read more

I live close to Greenfield's so it's convenient. That said we have been there 3 times since it opened. Twice for breakfast and once for dinner. My advice is stick to breakfast and keep it simple but don't go with high expectations for food quality or quality service. It is what it is. You can have a good day or a bad one and it's really a 50/50 deal. Perhaps ask the basic...what's the cooks best dish today? and go from there if you are adventurous. read more

Clean restaurant, great service, good food and wonderful crepes!

BLAND is the only word that comes to mind. . . Service was ok, but our waitress was just not friendly; prompt, but not friendly. I had the reuben sandwich, my husband had the Prime Rib dip, Philly style, which we split, and my daughter had the cheesy pasta for kids. My reuben was ok. Very light on the sauce and kraut. As for the dip, it was not Prime Rib meat. Plus, the meat tasted so, so bland, I had no choice but to dip heavily into the au jus! I tried my daughters cheesy pasta and it had absolutely no flavor!!! covered in a fake cheese sauce that had no flavor. It came with Texas toast, which I found odd. There are only 3 dessert items, none of which appealed to me. For the kids they have a cake pop which tasted, again, odd!!! The only bright spot was the coffee. It was hot! I realize that this is a part of the da Vinci's franchise, and that they are trying to class it up, but it fails to impress. read more

Have eaten here several times but not in the last year and a half until yesterday while passing through Lincoln. Service is always good when we have stopped here including yesterday. However the food was just so so. I had the Cowboy skillet. Wasn't what I thought but tried it anyway. The chicken fried steak on top of the potatoes was just not very good. It was very tough and no taste. My wife had an omelet but it too was just so so. Disappointed but not enough to not go back. It was busy as usual but the food quality/taste not as good as the last several times. Coffee wasn't cold but sure needs to be served hot. Very little flavor too. One would think as expensive as a cup of coffee is at this restaurant, at least the coffee would be hot. Again great service as always and lol the people who work there are super friendly. read more

Our server was fantastic! Ordered shrimp Alfredo- could not eat it. Tasted sour. Found a hair in the vegetables. Not a good experience.

They used to have excellent hamburgers, but the last two times we've visited they've tasted more like a bland meatloaf. Very disappointed.

Ate at Greenfields on Saturday and the food was bland, bland, bland. I had the New Mexico casserole and everything on the plate was the same color, except for a couple stewed tomatoes. The potatoes tasted like they were boiled and you could hardly find any chicken or cheese. I guess expect a bold taste when ordering something advertised as 'Southwestern.' Fabulous service and kind staff! They accommodated my difficult dietary issues with nothing but smiles and created a mushroom sandwich that was to die for! My only recommendation to Greenfields' is that they add that sandwich to the menu (and perhaps a few more vegetarian/vegan options). Slowest service in Lincoln! Waited an hour for breakfast in a half empty restaurant. No refills on coffee till we asked. Biscuits and gravy only had a teaspoon of mediocre gravy. I am from out of town. My 11 year old daughter and I stopped by Greenfield's for a late lunch, I had beef stroganoff- you can tell it was made from scratch - it was amazingly good! Yes the place looks like an old Perkins but after talking with the manger, Greenfield's is family owned and everything is made from scratch. I compare places to red lobster prices who does not cook from scratch - so I don't think this place was expensive - you pay for what you get. My daughter really likes the California skillet with chicken. We ordered the homemade bread pudding - really good as week- my daughters first time having bread pudding, she loved it! Definitely I'll recommend this place and I will be back. read more

Meatloaf was awful. Mashed potatoes good. I don't think the meatloaf was homemade. I think it was the frozen stuff they bought some place and warmed up. They need to try the hometown cafe and see what meatloaf is suppose to taste like. read more

While visiting my brothers we decided to pay this place a visit and I am glad we did. The place has plenty of seating very clean restrooms and staff are very polite and friendly. We came here for dinner and I had meatloaf and it was pretty good. My brothers had chicken fried steak and salad and soup. I too had soup and it was really good. Our waitress made our day Chrissy she was really helpful with a quick smile on her face and was ready to serve you. She made sure you were taken care of. I would consider this place for breakfast since SE Lincoln is short on options. The restaurant is clean and has a friendly staff. Unfortunately, we ate there for lunch and the best I can say about our meals is that they were Meh....just so, so. My husband ordered French Onion soup and what came was a cup of Au Jus dip (usually used for french dips) with some sauteed onions, croutons and cheese on top. I don't know anyone who turns au jus into soup. I ordered a grilled chicken, spinach and strawberry salad and what came was a lovely bed of greens and strawberries, but the chicken was litterally thick deli meat that they pulled out of a packet. I couldn't bring myself to eat it. At a competitors restaurant if you order a salad you get a grilled chicken breast, not a super processed deli meat. Otherwise our meal was good, and I bet breakfast would be the same. I would eat here again, like I said it was clean, but my expectations are definately lowered. read more

I live about 3 minutes from Greenfields, but would rather drive 15 minutes to get good service. Their food is pretty good, when they get it right, but the service is horrible. They are more concerned with their co-workers and smoke breaks than the customers.... We have tried this place probably 15 times in the past 5 years, and not once have we been satisfied when leaving or when getting our food home from a carry-out order. They always mess our order up, forget something, are out of something, the waitstaff is rude, or they don't have a clue what they are doing(once asked for a sandwich I knew they had and the waitress had no clue what I was talking about and had to look at my menu). The outside eating area is now very nice, but won't use because of the terrible service!! We would love to be able to go here to eat and have some drinks now that they serve alcohol, however, the crappy service is too much to handle, so we will not be going back anytime soon!! read more

Not Good! We ordered a variety of items.. club sandwich, was ok but they burned the bread so my daughter wouldn't eat it. We also ordered an omelet and it was very dry. The chicken salad on Foccacia tasted like something you would buy pre-packaged at a grocery store and the chicken cheesesteak was similar. The chicken on the sandwich was the type you buy pre-packed and already made.. gross! They claim its all "freshly" made from scratch. If that's the case why did our food come out so quickly? The tables are so close together, it's terrible. They seated a toddler next to us and she was so close to us it was very uncomfortable. Don't get me wrong, I love kids - have 2 of my own but I don't want other peoples kids sitting at our table w/ us. The bill for 4 of us was over $60! Waste of money, in my opinion. We eat out often (have lived in a lot of different states) and I know good food when I get it.. this wasn't the place. Don't waste your money. read more
