Fish and chips with yummy homemade tartar sauce
    Sara G.

I ordered the fish and chips because it's just too much work to make at home for one person! Sadly the fish was more breading than fish but the house made tartar sauce was a pleasant addition. The fries were absolutely delicious and crispy, even with getting take out they were crispy like you a fry to be. I will try something else next time but will definitely be getting the fries!

We stopped in for burgers and weren't disappointed. We we given excellent service from the homemade cookies to the top notch experience from the bartender who gave us a complimentary shot of rum.

We had no idea this South Lincoln gem was open again. Before Covid, we would eat at Tavern 180 Lincoln once a week and we were thrilled when we realized that they were open again. One of the greatest additions they have is outdoor seating!! This restaurant is really cool inside, it has a big city vibe and a nice bar in the middle of the restaurant. There is a room away from the bar area for families to eat and booths and high tables frame the area around the bar. It is a great place in South Lincoln to grab a cocktail in the evening or enjoy excellent cooking and service. As far as the food, it did not disappoint. We started with some cocktails and the Jalapeño Cheese Dip.I had the Fillet with Asparagus & salad, and my husband had the Mardi Gras Pasta. The cheese dip was a nice appetizer. It is cheesy with a little bit of heat from the jalapeño, the chips were crispy and not overly salty. All I could think about is football and a beer would make this a perfect day. My steak was very flavorful and the asparagus was good as well. I was pleased with the steak it was very nice however next time I will be ordering it with minimal salt and a little more rare. The steak prices are market value and understandable with the current condition, so make sure you understand how much it costs. A suggestion for the restaurant is to make their steaks a la carte so you understand that it is not served with a starch by default. The pasta dish was our favorite. It has chicken, shrimp and a nice little kick of spice from the Andouille sausage. Pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. A very nice dish. Looking forward to this getting Tavern 180 back on our radar for a a great dinner in South Lincoln. Cannot wait to dine out on the patio next time. Glad they are back!

My boyfriend and I decided on the Tavern for a easy, near the house Vday dinner. We arrived and saw that the table next to us was just getting here meal and turns out one whole meal was forgotten. Our poor server must have been having an off night. We saw two other tables around having issues as well one being the whole meal was comped. This was the vibe we were sitting in. Was our meal bad no, did our salads come out after our steaks did yes. My steak was cold by the time I ate my waygu bc of the forgotten salads. Was the ribeye that my bf ordered over $50 yes. Would we return there for steaks again, probably not. Do we like the vibe of Tavern 180 yes - love the potential. We have came for drinks before and I recommend the Tavern Bubbles. We also had the ahi tuna nachos which were very good as well. Looking forward to see where the Tavern 180 goes!

Berkshire pork chop in moutarde sauce - very thick!

We ordered takeout and were expecting slightly upscale bar food. They far surpassed our expectations! Their menu has a great selection of beef, chicken and salads. My husband had the Berkshire pork chop in moutarde sauce, and I had the French dip. We both also ordered French onion soup. Generous portions and excellent flavor - my husband actually called the restaurant mid-meal to tell them how impressed he was with the sear on his pork chop. We definitely recommend checking out Tavern 180 - and we will be back again soon.

For was basic and overpriced. Service was simple and not to $20 app and "market price" steaks. No manager present. Don't go.

The Barred Owl is the rooftop restaurant of The Scarlet Lincoln Tribute Hotel…read more Since we were staying the night at The Scarlet, we popped in for drinks and an appetizer. I'm going to agree with many of the reviews regarding service. They have a serious server issue. I'm not sure why they are so short staffed. They are right next to a university so they should be able to hire plenty of servers but the night we came in for drinks, only 1 server and the bartenders and a manager were running around trying to take care of the customers. Even so, several customers including us had to go to the bar for service. Customers were not happy. We sat at a table adjacent to the bar so we could watch the NHL draft. The bar was packed both inside and out. The bar is very nice with large TV's and plenty of nice table seating inside and out. With all the service issues being said, the bartender did take very good care of us and even though the wrong drinks were delivered, she comped them and made us new drinks which were delicious. The bartender constantly checked on us and we never saw the server except when she delivered the chips & dip we ordered. I'm going to give The Barred Owl 3 stars because it is a beautiful restaurant with a great outdoor patio. The bartender's were working their tails off to service the crowd and our drinks were good.m I can't comment in the food since we just had a snack. Management has a serious problem to work through regarding staffing and service but if they can fix that it should be a great spot.

Got a couple drinks and saw some other guests food arriving so we opted to cancel our dinner plans and stick around for food as well. Have zero regrets! The short rib totchos were SO GOOD. The truffle fries (yes we like potatoes) and the bee and the butcher flatbread were also great! The flatbread was so cheesy it was amazing! Would definitely recommend! And come back if we're back in Lincoln again!

Enjoyable experience here. Lincoln only has a handful of sit-down, fancier, Italian joints but this…read moreone is worth a revisit. Fancy on the inside but prices are really pretty reasonable. I got the Carsoni (pesto) and did both chicken and shrimp which was $22, it's enough for two meals though so this is fair. The sauce was flavorful, good consistency of oil and basil. Loved that it included mushrooms but could have used more of them in it, also had bell pepper and broccoli. I'm not sure broccoli goes too well with the pesto dish, but it was steamed well and soft. The shrimp were huge and they had 4-5 in the dish. We also did bruschetta as an app, and loved the fresh tomatoes/garlic/herbs on top. Loved the dipping sauce with the bread as im a balsamic/oil freak. The soup was just okay, it was a creamy chicken/potato but it was very pureed and not quite what I was expecting, I'm not sure there was even a chunk of chicken in it. I've definitely had better next time, I'll be inclined to try the salad instead. Drinks were fun, I enjoyed the black raspberry margarita flavor and a limoncello spritz although both appeared a bit too watered down and not too strong. Service was fine, however hard to really judge since we came during mid-day late lunch and I'm pretty sure we were the only table there.

I love chicken piccata usually order it all the time at Italian restaurants. This one is in my opinion too heavy on the citrus. Needs more butter or a heavy cream in the sauce. The citrus is way too acidic and over takes the whole dish. Doesn't really flow well. I ended up taking all the butter from my rolls which are delicious by the way. Putting all the butter into my dish and mixing the pasta up in it. That made it far less acidic. The soup was good can't remember the name sorry. The olive oil mix they serve with the bread is fantastic. Thanks
