The Copper Kettle is the perfect switch up on/near O street. It sets itself apart from nearby bars because of their specialization on Moscow Mules and through the ambiance of the spot. It's a much more chill and slightly more upscale spot to grab a drink than nearby bars. The mellow vibes are enhanced through the service keeping things very laid back and enjoyable. The mules are always great, I've tried a few different flavors and enjoy all of them. Their light snacks are also perfect for a happy hour or hold over before going somewhere else.

The vegan tacos sounded good, so I dropped in for dinner and was not disappointed. It's a cute restaurant and bar with good service and I'd definitely recommend it. The dip with my fries was so good! I loved the vegan sweet potato tacos and I don't always love vegan food.

Superb invention: the Cromelette. This was worth the trip to Lincoln alone. It spoke to my breakfast-loving heart.

The ambiance of old-school bar/lounge with soft pop/rock was welcoming. With only a couple tables occupied, it was open seating. I ordered a mule (you kind of have to) and received my Spiced Pear Mule in minutes. It was delicious! Being Wednesday night, I ordered the Waygu burger with crispy bacon and kettle sauce. It came out in a reasonable time, was well cooked with crispy bacon (that doesn't always happen even when you ask) along with a healthy portion of seasoned fries and kettle queso for dipping. I recommend and will be back.

Super cool concept! Got the El Burro [tequila, homemade ginger beer and lime] and it was very tasty. Their ginger beer isn't overly sweet; it has a really nice spice to it. Cute interior too! If I lived in Lincoln, I'd come down all the time

Cool place, but the menus way to limited! They need to have some sort of a hefty burger for after-game patrons!

I sat at the bar and had phenomenal service. I got the Aragon burger with a tallow fries, covered in bacon jam! I will have to say, this is one of the better burgers I've ever had in my life. It came out very hot, juicy, and cooked perfectly. The sauce is super yummy. But it's a grilled onions that really make it. The fries came out hot, crispy, and very tasty. This is a phenomenal restaurant with some very good food. Unless you're lucky you get a seat at the bar, I'm sure reservations are required.

Service was very good. We were seated promptly and asked if we were ready for the next course at appropriate times. We had the 3 course dinner with the summer salad, lasagna Bianca and steak. I personally thought the salad was the best! The array of flavors was very satisfying from the crunch of the pine nuts to the smoothness of the ricotta to the tanginess of the dressing. Would highly recommend. The lasagna was good... but very one note... and that note is "richness". It didn't really taste like anything more, which in effect made it not much different from an ordinary lasagna I could make at home and not pay that much for it. The steak was not well seasoned, which I wouldn't have minded but the cook was a bit beyond the medium rare I asked for. Overall I probably would be back to try something else. But dish is still superior in terms of fine dining in Lincoln in my opinion.

For many years, The Eatery has been a fixture in east-central Lincoln. I'd heard plenty of positive…read morecomments about the restaurant over the years, so I finally decided to stop in for lunch and see what it was all about. Unfortunately, the first impression could use some improvement. Upon entering, guests step into a small lobby with two interior doors--one designated as the entrance and the other as the exit. Once inside, a host greets you, hands you a menu, and escorts you to your table. Along the way, you pass the restaurant's salad bar, which should serve as an inviting showcase of the food offered inside. Instead, the salad bar was the low point of my visit. On the day I was there, it appeared messy and poorly maintained. A salad bar requires constant attention to keep it looking fresh, attractive, and clean, and that simply wasn't the case during my visit. Given its prominent location, it creates an impression that management should work harder to improve. The Eatery's menu, however, is extensive and impressive. There's truly something for everyone. The unlimited salad bar is priced at $14.99, or $7.99 when added to an entrée. Based on what I observed, that seemed a bit steep, so I decided to pass. Instead, I ordered the Smokey Chicken Stacker with fries on the recommendation of my server. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The sandwich was flavorful, the fries were perfectly prepared, and the meal arrived at my table less than ten minutes after ordering--a testament to an efficient kitchen. Overall, I came away believing that The Eatery serves solid food, but the décor, atmosphere, and overall layout feel somewhat dated and uninspiring. The appearance of the salad bar was the biggest negative of the experience for me. Would I return? If I lived or worked in the neighborhood, probably yes. However, since I don't, it's unlikely that I would make a special trip back.

When you walk in, you are hit with the smell of fresh burgers and sides being prepared in front of you. It's a counter order style restaurant where you order first then sit and collect your food after. We tried a little of everything during this visit: Burgers, Sweet potato fries and Parmesan truffle fries. The burger was definitely the star of the show. The Reading Rainbow has a hearty portion of peanut butter on it, combined with their version of jelly, making this burger extremely filling. Now to the fries, and reason for 4 stars. Both of our fries arrived a little cooler than I would expect for freshly made items. The sweet potato fries were crispy, yet lacked flavor. The truffle fries were disappointing. They were very dry and had what seemed like seasoning and cheese dumped in the container. I'd expect some oil for the "truffle" label, but there appeared to be none. Overall, I'd be willing to give Honest Abe's another try for their sides and try another burger to see how it compares!
