Best impulse decision of the night. The Starlite Lounge does not feel like 2026 Lincoln. It feels like you stepped into a 1960s lounge that somehow never closed. The lighting, the furniture, the whole atomic-era look--it all works. Smooth jazz was playing, the room had that intimate, slightly smoky-club energy without being loud or chaotic, and the cocktails were the real deal. Not just pretty drinks. Properly made, balanced, and clearly built by people who care. We weren't there for a photo op. We were there for the feel, the music, and a couple of well-made drinks. It delivered on every count. Romantic without being stuffy. Cool without trying too hard. If you're in downtown Lincoln and you want something that actually transports you instead of another generic bar, walk down the stairs. Highly recommended. We'll be back.

I am definitely particular about my martinis. They crushed it on a gin martini - stirred, not shaken & vermouth rinsed - with a twist. Was perfectly done! Leftover holiday décor (maybe from multiple holidays?) and a setup full of TVs, a pool table, and darts gave it more of a sports bar feel. To their credit, the bar itself is impressive, and the cocktail menu is clearly curated with intention. But overall, it feels more like a dressed-up dive bar than a polished spot. We played pool and had a good time, but honestly, it might serve them better to embrace the casual scene and rebrand--maybe just "The Lion"--to better fit the crowd and vibe. There's potential here, just needs clearer direction.

This place is a spectacular little world of wonder and adventure. Over the course of my trip, I got to experience so many different sides of it. I attended an event on a Friday night, enjoyed specialty drinks, and watched a Shakespeare performance. I had so much fun! During the weekdays, I took a few meetings there while enjoying matcha and snacks. On another day, I simply came in to relax and unwind. What I loved most is that The Reading Room somehow manages to be a place for everyone. It's somewhere to meet new friends, get some work done, have a quiet moment alone, or come out and have fun at an event. Kids, adults, cocktail lovers, tea drinkers, readers, remote workers. There's a little something for everyone. And Sam, the owner, is absolutely fantastic. I was spoiled with great conversation, genuine hospitality, and impeccable service throughout my visits.
