Very responsive, always on time and always gives me a heads up when they are on their way. Very professional.

The technician, Andrew showed up on time was efficient courteous and attentive to our needs . Our first service was outstanding

Abraham is the tech that has serviced our house the last two visits. Great with his communication and passionate about his job. He provided valuable info on pre and post visit instructions. Hopefully HomeShield will continue to send him out to service our home. read more

Absolutely horrible service. Do not use this company if you have a rodent issue unless you want it to get worse. They came and said they successfully sealed up all access points to the home, charged a bunch of $$$ and then left. Didnt set any traps or anything. Just left and that was it. A couple months later there is a dead rat stuck in my walls. They came and found fresh droppings in all 3 crawl spaces, but said nothing could be done about the dead rat. Tried gaslighting me about the bad seal job and backtracking on the fresh droppings saying there is no way I can prove it is fresh(the pictures show glossy poop with no dust, and plenty of dust in the surrounding areas). I had a different company come check the crawlspace they "sealed" up and he basically just laughed at how bad a job they did. Clearly they have no clue what they are doing. read more

A company is only as good as its employees. HomeShield must be the best company in Long Beach because of Bronson Contreras. Conscientious, professional, polite to a tee, and knowledgeable. He can communicate superbly with us, offering plenty of options for solutions to our problem. Congratulations to HomeShield Pest Control for having Mr. Contreras on your team. read more

Abraham has been an incredible pest control specialist for our home for the past few months. He has gone above and beyond to keep our home pest free and keep our doggies safe by reminding us to allow time for pest solutions to dry. Thank you Abraham for your attention to detail and helping us take care of our home. read more

Our technician Abraham did an awesome job, he answered all of our questions and put my family's mind at ease.

We've been using Homeshield for a few years and we appreciate the professionalism and proactive care of our technician Abraham. Thank you!

We have had HomeShield come to our house for a few years, since our next-door neighbor has 11 cats, so we have a lot of fleas in our yard -- and before we hired HomeShield, in our house. They have helped us improve the flea situation and they also spray for ants, cockroaches, spider mites, etc. They are efficient and easy to work with and Abraham is very communicative. We appreciate that he texts us an estimate of when he will be arriving, so we can make sure our dogs go to the bathroom in the yard before the spraying, since they can't go in the yard for a little while after. We also appreciate that they use pet-safe and eco-friendly products. read more

Abraham was so helpful and provided quick service! Really appreciate his suggestion to fix some of our crawl space covers around the house to keep critters out, especially now that that winter months are here. We haven't seen a bug in the house in a long time! read more

We live in West Los Angeles and I have tried out a few Pest Control companies. I found home shield online, and have not been disappointed with their service. I've waited about eight months and quite a few rounds of service before writing my review to make sure that I'm writing a thorough review. Abraham has been our technician for most of our services, and he's exceptional. He's kind, courteous, communicative, and informative. He always does a fantastic job. I would highly recommend HomeShield, and I would especially recommend Abraham as a technician. read more

Abraham was the technician. He maintained great communication regarding the time of his arrival. He also communicated clearly about everything he was doing to try to eradicate my rat problem. He checked all of my house inside and out, looking for evidence and openings. He was punctual, respectful and thorough. We had no rat noises in our walls or ceilings last night. He said I could call him anytime to check the traps or if I had any questions. If there's no rat noises tonight, I will have him check asap rather than wait a week. I cannot check myself ! read more

Have had a great experience with this company, mainly due to the technician that services my house - Abraham. He's incredibly on point with any issues, always on call for anything that surfaces (though since the service started, I've really only had one little thing pop up, so he is definitely effective). I went from an insane spider house and yard, to now being able to enjoy where I live without walking through webs and finding spiders everywhere I sit. read more

Abraham is the best! Always available for questions via phone. Quick, friendly and informative! So happy I found HomeShield!! read more

Brandon from Home Shield came to my house after I called to help with a recent rodent issue. I was sold 2 services (1 of which I didn't need). When I realized what had happened, I let the service technician who came to my house know that I did not want general pest control and didn't need it. He called his boss and assured me that charge would be reversed. I have since sent 3 emails and made 4 calls and the charge remains, even though I was assured that it would be reversed. I have asked nicely each time, but now I need to let others know. Look at your contracts closely because I was totally upsold on a service I don't need, didn't get and don't want, yet the charge remains. Maybe look for another company for your pest control problems. Edited: After making my final call and posting this review, my balance in now $0 and the charge has been reversed. I was hoping that I wasn't going to need to leave a bad Yelp review for this to happen, but thankfully all is well now. Be assured that Home Shield will correct their errors. read more

Absolutely wonderful pest control company. You can tell a company is well run because the service from top to bottom is fantastic from the staff that answers the phone to the technicians themselves. In particular, Sergio services two different properties of mine and he has always been the epitome of professionalism. He communicates clearly and promptly and performs services efficiently. We've been having trouble with ants and Sergio has come back for two extra services to help with that and both his routine and extra services have always been smooth and satisfactory. I've been very pleased that if you have trouble with pests HomeShield will come out and do an extra service at no charge. read more

I am really amazing at how responsive this company is. I called them the other day about having some pests that I didn't know what it was. At first it was going to take a few days to come but I told them about how much it was disturbing me and they told me they could work out their schedule to come the next day. The technician that showed up came with a mask and shoe covers and he was very detailed when he looked through my house to try to figure out what but we had. Turned out it was bird mites. He sprayed around our house and windows. And got into all different crevices. read more

When I called them, they responded very quickly, and followed up promptly. They were able to get their technician out here the very next day to perform my initial service. Definitely not what I was expecting from a family-owned business. I spoke to sales over the phone about what I was looking for. He explained that everything was non toxic, convinced me to do the monthly plan for $47 per month with an initial for $150. I agreed, and we settled on a window between 1 - 5 PM, and he immediately emailed me a contract to sign, entering my banking info, etc. Day of service arrives and I call the office to see if I can get a closer window of time. The woman I spoke to informed me that the tech would be stopping by between 3 and 3:30 PM. 4:30 rolls around and still have not heard anything so I called the office again and was transferred directly to the technician who says that he is running very behind, and will not be there, probably until 6 PM. When I expressed frustration that I had waited all afternoon, he apologized and explained that traffic is very bad in LA and it's difficult and how long certain jobs will take. I understand things run over and there is traffic, however, it is common courtesy to contact the customer and let them know that you are running late. Had I never called the office I would've waited there until nearly 6 PM until someone showed up. What also annoyed me during our call, he said that he could still come at 6 PM and do the outside. I explained that I had requested both internal and external, but he proceeded to explain why an internal treatment is not necessary for spiders. He also told me he could not spray the inside, because the children and dog would be there, even though the sales person I spoke to told me that everything was non-toxic, and never mentioned anything about us needing to leave the house or that it would only be internal. I specifically requested both. I canceled the service, and immediately called the office again, and asked to speak to a manager. I was transferred to a man who was very apologetic, but did really not offer anything to make the situation right. I requested that he send me a cancellation confirmation over email to show that the contract was voided since my banking information was on there, He assured me he would send end of day. It is now almost 48 hours later, and I still have not received it . I've tried contacting the sales person a few times, but no response. Once they get the sale, they want nothing to do with you. I wasted an entire afternoon at home for this when I could have been at work. read more

I've been calling around in search for a pest / bug/wasp control problem. What got my attention and separated this company form others I've called was their use of green "clean" eco products that are safe for families, kids, and pets. As I've gotten older i understand the importance of limiting exposure to health detrimental and cancer causing products. This company is based out of Long Beach and serves the surrounding LA/LC areas. I have not booked them yet but I spoke with Tom and he gave me a very thorough phone explanation of their treatment process and the pricing. They also have a call In special for about $150 for the first initial treatment and then $100 every 2 month follow up treatment by contract for one year. So over time you're looking at $750 maybe which is a fairly priced rate. If you cancel before the year there is a penalty of the initial treatment price. What is also fair about their pricing is that they treat BOTH indoor and outside your house and they remove wasp nets and other possible problematic pest items. As for treatment it seems like no more than an hour and you have to make sure the treatment is dry before touching or exposing yourself to the area. Once I book my first treatment I'll provide an update on this review. I definitely appreciate the time Tom took to consult and explain everything. Give them a ring! read more

It didn't start off great... there was some lack of communication on their end resulting to a year of subscription with no outcome. Once the management team learned about it, Zach was very on top of it. He follow up with me frequently to make sure services are correcting and fixing all my rodents and insect issues. Their staff is extremely friendly and kind from the beginning though- even when I addressed the issues with them, they're are still kind and friendly. There are some staff that are newer than others so they're not as thorough, but they make every effort to make things right. While there are issues in terms of servicing and commissions, I am continuing subscription because I think human errors is common and expected, but for companies that hold themselves accountable, willingness to address issues, and are very reasonable, I think those qualities are rare. And the other thing is throughout servicing, every staff was very considerate of my toddler at home and where to place traps, which I truly appreciate. read more
