Abraham was the technician. He maintained great communication regarding the time of his arrival. He also communicated clearly about everything he was doing to try to eradicate my rat problem. He checked all of my house inside and out, looking for evidence and openings. He was punctual, respectful and thorough. We had no rat noises in our walls or ceilings last night. Absolutely horrible service. Do not use this company if you have a rodent issue unless you want it to get worse. They came and said they successfully sealed up all access points to the home, charged a bunch of $$$ and then left. Didnt set any traps or anything. Just left and that was it. A couple months later there is a dead rat stuck in my walls. They came and found fresh droppings in all 3 crawl spaces, but said nothing could be done about the dead rat. Tried gaslighting me about the bad seal job and backtracking on the fresh droppings saying there is no way I can prove it is fresh(the pictures show glossy poop with no dust, and plenty of dust in the surrounding areas). I had a different company come check the crawlspace they "sealed" up and he basically just laughed at how bad a job they did. Clearly they have no clue what they are doing. read more

We decided to go with this company based on Yelp reviews. Never solved a rodent problem in a year. On the first day doing exclusion in 2022, their guy put a foot through my ceiling. Brandon from Home Shield came to my house after I called to help with a recent rodent issue. I was sold 2 services (1 of which I didn't need). When I realized what had happened, I let the service technician who came to my house know that I did not want general pest control and didn't need it. He called his boss and assured me that charge would be reversed. I have since sent 3 emails and made 4 calls and the charge remains, even though I was assured that it would be reversed. I have asked nicely each time, but now I need to let others know. Look at your contracts closely because I was totally upsold on a service I don't need, didn't get and don't want, yet the charge remains. Maybe look for another company for your pest control problems. Edited: After making my final call and posting this review, my balance in now $0 and the charge has been reversed. I was hoping that I wasn't going to need to leave a bad Yelp review for this to happen, but thankfully all is well now. Be assured that Home Shield will correct their errors. read more

Absolutely wonderful pest control company. You can tell a company is well run because the service from top to bottom is fantastic from the staff that answers the phone to the technicians themselves. In particular, Sergio services two different properties of mine and he has always been the epitome of professionalism. He communicates clearly and promptly and performs services efficiently. We've been having trouble with ants and Sergio has come back for two extra services to help with that and both his routine and extra services have always been smooth and satisfactory. It didn't start off great... there was some lack of communication on their end resulting to a year of subscription with no outcome. Once the management team learned about it, Zach was very on top of it. He follow up with me frequently to make sure services are correcting and fixing all my rodents and insect issues. Their staff is extremely friendly and kind from the beginning though- even when I addressed the issues with them, they're are still kind and friendly. There are some staff that are newer than others so they're not as thorough, but they make every effort to make things right. While there are issues in terms of servicing and commissions, I am continuing subscription because I think human errors is common and expected, but for companies that hold themselves accountable, willingness to address issues, and are very reasonable, I think those qualities are rare. And the other thing is throughout servicing, every staff was very considerate of my toddler at home and where to place traps, which I truly appreciate. read more

I work from home so am usually busy on calls or meetings when he arrives, and he does the treatments efficiently and without disturbing me, but always checks in by text before and after to make sure that I don't have any questions or concerns. We are so happy with HomeShield's service so far! After a negative experience with another pest control company, HomeShield came to the rescue to help resolve our ant infestation. Nathan, who completed our initial service, was at our home for nearly an hour doing a thorough inspection and treatment to best understand and treat the *root* of the problem. The issue was significantly better after that first treatment. We had a small flare up about a month later, and Abraham was able to come within 2 days for a follow up. Again, he was kind, patient, and thorough with this treatment & we are so appreciative.
