We get a quarterly bug spray because our house always has ants and other creepy crawlers (spiders, centipedes) especially in the summer months. Since we've been doing this service the amount of ants we get has drastically reduced. Used to get them on a daily basis in the summer and now they only pop up once in a while, I quickly and easily arrange the service and the bugs don't come around for a long time. Traditionally bug sprays and deterrents you buy at the store weren't working for our house in North Torrance which is notorious for ants. Thankful to have the service as I'd previously have to clean the house a lot and make sure there wasn't a spec of food out or accidentally dropped on the floor. I live in a middle unit townhouse for a 3-on-a-lot building. My neighbor in the front caught a rat roaming around inside their home. We've used this company several times now for ongoing ant issues we had during the summer and unfortunately needed him for cockroaches too. In August, I noticed that my canna lilies were being eaten. In September, I saw a rodent hanging with 2 sparrows inside of my dogs kennel. On October 28, my neighbor had a house fire and was informed that there was an infestation of rats in the walls of the property. November 4, Dennis came out to perform a home inspection of my property. He was looking for possible rodent entry points. I am pleased to say there were none. I purchased 2 bait boxes that will be refilled and maintained by Dennis. I also elected a quarterly service for ants, snails, slugs, wasp, and whatever else. I had a total of 7 rodent sightings in between September to November. We caught the last one on video. I reached out to Dennis and he confirmed that my rodent was a mouse. He returned and added a trap box outside of the exterior gate. In December, my dog retrieved something from the flower bed near the bait box, that appeared to be a dead mouse. After getting him to drop his find and take a treat from me, I confirmed his finding was a dead mouse that had been gone for some time. I was dealing with a pretty bad ant issue that I tried to deal with myself in my bathroom and one of my bedrooms. This was happening back in December when it rained pretty hard before Christmas in Torrance. I was using Advion ant bait gel which has always helped in the past and I tried using the bait for about a month since that is how long it can take sometimes for the ants to carry back to their colony, but they kept coming back in. It was not just scouts, but there were some really big females that would come in and eat on the bait as well. At this point I decided that I needed to try to get a professionals opinion on how to treat the issue. I initially reached out to PCS a couple times, but kept getting voicemail and no call back. At this point I wanted someone to treat at least the outside of my house to stop the ants from coming into the bedroom so I opted to use another company. This company (another local company), picked up, and came and sprayed the outside. I told them about what was going on inside my house and they decided to spray in the areas in the bathroom and the room. I was a little weary on the spray on the inside, but he said it worked like bait so it wasn't a kill on contract spray. This didnt work, they kept coming in. But because the service was under warranty, they came back and sprayed, but again it didnt work. What irritated me, is that I told them that I think the big ones are Queens (and that they are Agentine Ants due to the multiple big ones that I was seeing), but the guy from this company told me that those arent ants and something else (but why would ants roll up with another big insect to eat on bait)...so at that point I was done with this company, even though they had great customer service and came back to retreat with no charge. The did one final kill on contact spray and said this should take care of it and of course it didnt work and the ants moved to a different spot (this is something that they said would happen). Instead of chasing them around the house, I decided to call PCS again. This time DENNIS PICKED UP! Super friendly guy and after chatting, he told me that his phone got stolen and thats why it took him so long to call back (He had initially called back but I was already working with another company). I explained to him what was going on and he said he would come by the next day to see what was going on. We talked about his method and he said, lets bait. He didnt want to spray in the house because "spraying is being lazy" and baiting is always the best way to treat inside. He baited and of course the ants infested the bait. He even took parts of the shower off to treat inside the wall. The ants eventually stopped coming to the baited area, but still had the issue of dead ones showing up in the shower. I would still get 4-5 dead ones a day (sometimes the big queens still). Dennis came back again to setup bait traps, but those attracted none (he said it probably wouldnt work). He then did a "dust treatment" in the wall and after that said it would be ok to use the shower again (we hadnt used our bathroom in over a month). I am not sure if the water is keeping them out, but after he did the wall treatment, we havent seen the dead ants since. When he came initially, he also did a full assessment of our outside and sprayed the outside. We stayed in constant communication and everytime I told him about the ant issue not being resolved, he would come back within a couple days to try something new. He is a really busy guy (who does a ton of commercial business and residential work) so it is really amazing to see how he goes above and beyond for his customers. I even told him, you're like my dad with the vibes that you give me. If you are having an ant issue and looking for someone who will actually take the time to solve your issue and not just result automatically to spraying everywhere, Dennis and Pest Control Solutions are your answer. Recently began service with this company, specifically for rat control/spiders. When the gentleman representing the company came out, he indicated he could take care of our problem. He "treated" our yard on his first visit. We noticed rat droppings in our back yard and called about our upcoming service coming due. At this time, the gentleman explained that he doesn't take care of outside rats. He said he doesn't like to work with poison, as it causes dangerous issues. I was having a ant issue and thought I could take care of it myself by using the standard ant spray and traps. I was wrong. I got to the point where I finally decided to call a professional because the ants were so annoying. I was given Dennis's phone number at Pest Control Solutions through a friend and I couldn't be happier now that my ant problem is taken care of. I phoned Dennis in the morning and he returned my call within 1 hour. Lucky for me, he said that he would be in my area later that day if I was available. He came by later that afternoon and asked where did I see the ants mostly and for how long. He then proceeded to check all around the exterior of my house looking for ants/trails of ants and any other area where ants maybe. He then went inside and asked to see where I was having a problem.
