I contacted them for fumigation and wood repair. Inspector Eric came and gave a very detailed report of how many places needed to be repaired. They spent 4 days totally repairing all the wood damaged and 1 day on paint. I want to specially call out that our main carpenter Adrian F. did a great quality job and addressed all of my concerns. There is another carpenter Eric who worked one day with Adrian who also did a good job. The tenting was done and scheduled accordingly. We also had Daniel come in and perform the bora care treatment professionally. There were some hassles in between including the underestimation of number of days that were needed for wood repair. Scheduling issues that 5 days of repair work got scattered into 4 weeks. The first day one carpenter put a dent on my brand new AC unit when he hammered down the fascia board. Also one section of the wood support was not done right, more than 2 rafter tails in a row got cut the roof eave so it was sagging and caused us a panic. They sent their manager to address our concerns and assure that it was corrected and that the correct work would be done. The carpenters fixed the previous mistakes and did great work in the end. So overall not a smooth experience yet I am willing to give it 5 stars because they did honor the original quote, and ended up doing more wood repair than originally quoted as it was discovered during the process. Thus going above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with the work despite the initial issues. read more

Last year, the City redid the asphalt, driveway approaches, and curbs on our street. Our block looks wonderful. We also replaced our 30+ year old roof. Unfortunately, as a result, many critters came out of their hiding. We had a spider issue both inside and outside our home. We also had ants inside our house for the first time in over 20 years. We searched for a pest control company and after several quotes, we chose Homeshield and it was a wise decision. Though the regular service is quarterly, they will fine as often as needed if any issue arise before the routine service. Our tech, Oliver has been servicing our home from the beginning. He is always punctual, polite, and professional. He addresses all of the issues we point out while he is at our home. The price for their service is fair. Their office is always professional and it is easy to schedule a service, usually within a couple of days of calling. We will continue to use their service for a long time. read more

I initially hired HomeShield to protect my home from rodents that I had seen running around the property due to fruit trees and large trees in the neighborhood, as well earwigs. They seemed very knowledgeable and checked all the boxes I was looking for, so despite the hefty price tag, we moved forward. When someone came to complete the remediation (sealing off any entry points to the home), he stopped mid-job to say he needed to go help someone on another job and would return. He did not. I tried calling him, the company, and the salesperson as the day was ending and our crawl space was left wide open. No response until the next day. No one returned to the house until 3 days later. Once the remediation was "complete" gaps large enough for a rodent to fit through remained at several points around the house. What was done, was largely done with mismatched, haphazard materials and techniques. For the monthly treatments, there was no flexibility. When asked- I was threatened with breaching the contract. They, on the other hand, missed a couple of visits without mention. But once again threatened with charges when I wanted to skip visits. Through it all, the earwigs remained. And now, a couple years later, the fact that they never completed the remediation that was promised and paid for has developed into a full infestation. It began from one of the main entries that Homeshield identified and "sealed". I have tried repeatedely to contact Homeshield to see if they would make it right. Apparently they're not interested and now I'm paying thousands of dollars for something that should have never happened. Avoid them at all costs! read more

We've been using Home Shield for nearly a year now and even transferred our service when we moved to our new home. Bryan has been absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process. During the move, he quickly identified an ant infestation with multiple colonies throughout our backyard and was very thorough and aggressive in treating them. Thanks to him, we haven't had any ongoing ant issues. We also haven't had problems with spiders, and during mosquito season the relief was truly noticeable. I paused mosquito services about two months ago, but with the recent weather and water buildup, we'll definitely be resuming that service soon. Mike and Abraham are really excellent technicians. Always thorough, friendly, and communicative. Mike once spent half an hour on the phone with me explaining pest behavior and his treatment plan. Abraham has done similarly in-person. Scheduling coordinators are always nice, too. Customer service and responsiveness is 5 stars. But the fact remains: we are not pest-free after two big treatments (furniture moved away from the walls, kitchen cabinets emptied, etc.) and many many months of follow-ups. We also had an issue where it was unclear what one of the other technicians did after one of the big treatments, and there was an instance where the tech missed the appointment.
