Great experience with Viking! The team was communicative and flexible when I needed to change my termiting date. My only complaint is that the company they contracted with tracked mud and bootprints all over my house and it took me a few rounds of vacuuming and mopping to get everything clean. They also left my side gate open and I didn't realize until a week later when my dog got out and was found roaming the neighborhood when I was at work. I'd recommend double checking to make sure everything is locked up when you return home and putting something down to cover your floors where the path of travel is to save you time cleaning. A family member and I got pretty sick reentering the house after it was cleared and read 0 PPM for the termite chemicals. If you have any chemical sensitivities, you may want to give it a little extra time before reentering your home so the tear gas they're required to use for safety can fully dissipate. read more

I had counted 4 living spiders in my water heater closet and bathtub 1 hour after I was let back in the house. When I called about it, I was told that the dosage for termites was not enough to kill spiders. I doubt the process was effective if it cant kill spiders in open areas. They said I have a 2 year warranty but that is not helpful once renters have moved in. I kinda feel like fumigation is a scam. Viking Termite gave me a $50 discount on a $2050 bill. I don't have anything bad to say about the company but they don't even do the fumigation, they sublet that to another company. If you do get your house fumigated and you have an expectation of all insect and spiders to be dead, ask for more information on a higher dosage. I did not see anything in my paperwork that excluded spiders. But the paperwork was specifically a termite fumigation. So I guess I failed to do my research. But I think most people would have an expectation of spider elimination if you're tenting for termites. read more

However, like I previous poster I did expect all bugs to be dead, such as earwigs, ants, tiny spiders - but all of them continued to show up right after fumigating. So either a better explanation that fumigation only targets termites, and not any other bugs or it was on me to do better research. read more

I found an alarming amount of mouse droppings in my vehicle (rarely driven) today. Viking Termite was recommended by a company called Service Pros. They connected me over the phone with Viking termite. Someone answered and mumbled something I couldn't understand. I responded, "I'm so sorry I didn't quite catch that do you mind repeating that?" And they hung up instantly. I called back assuming the call dropped and someone picked up "Viking termite, this is Tony". I said " Oh hi I think our call was just disconnected. My name is __ and I'm hoping to find a service who can help me with mouse droppings in my vehicle." This guy responded "oh no call an exterminator! Go to hell go to hell!" And abruptly hung up. I am still in astonishment that this happened to me. I have never been subjected to such a rude response online, over the phone, nor in person in my entire life. Whoever I spoke to should really lose their job. I would be happy to discuss if a professional manager or business owner is available. Unbelievable. Very good experience. He is very knowledgeable and honest. I called him a few years ago to see if it was time to tent our house, he checked and told us to wait as there was no sign of termites yet. I wasn't charged and he didn't try to push for work that I didn't need. This year, with the January rain, underground termites started to get in one of my walls. He came to assess the issue, explained the behavior of termites, inspected and explained the work that will be done, and gave me an estimate. I researched the quoted price and it was in the same "ball park" as other quotes in the web. I called him to do the job, he took his time to do it well, set several traps/poison underground and treated the affected walls. then explained what he did and the termites are now gone. I think the underground treatment will last a couple of years, so I will be calling Viking Termite again then. ------- Additionally, He pointed out that some other termite exterminator (from before I bought the house) left some holes opened on the concrete, and that's why I was getting water in my basement. In December, we discovered termites under our floorboards. We got a few quotes, and they were all pretty similar but we decided to go with Viking Termite because Tony took the time to thoroughly inspect our home, explain the fumigation process, and patiently answered all of our questions. I was on-site the day his crew arrived. They were very friendly and efficient! One member of his team went around and inspected all of our double bagged items to make sure we had property bagged everything - tightening the knots as he went. We walked all around the house making sure we hadn't forgotten to bag anything and he found a few items we missed! He double bagged those items for us. I was impressed with how thorough the inspection was and grateful he found those items we forgot. The team also had to take down a few fence panels to tent our garage and put them back up after the tenting was completed. The tenting went smoothly. Tony came over and did house termite inspection. When we scheduled the appointment, he gave me a general description of his inspection service that includes where he needs to check and access. He arrived on time( maybe slightly earlier) and checked the house thoroughly. Before Tony took off, he went through details of his inspection with my fiancé, and my fiancé was very satisfied with amount of effort Tony did. Because he went into an attic, he also pointed out something that we may want to bring it up to our general inspector as well. A day later after inspection, we received his report. Being a cautious person, I needed to find out if I had a termite problem before it starts to spread. That is when I called around trying to find a good termite inspection company, and found Viking on Yelp. Viking Termite - 2 separate houses and detached garage - Pest Control Near Me - Long Beach, California

I called out Pacific termites and they gave me a bill of $8600 just for subterranean termites. They didn't even tell us we have both types of termites. I couldn't swallow that cost so I started calling the listed termite companies one after the other except Terminix bec they are a horrible company (used them before and was charged over $159 for a service I didn't get bec their guy quit). Anyway, after 10, YES TEN!, different calls to different companies and not a single answer I got Tony. Thank goodness! He came out less than an hour after I called. Did the most thorough inspection we have ever seen (he was under the house for over 10 minutes so my hubby kept calling him to check on him LOL). Tony has a friendly personality and quoted us on the spot. It was waaaaaaaay less (more than half) the price of the Pacific quote. We hired him on the spot and will start our treatments next week! Awesome!!!! I'll let you know how great it goes :-) They were early and got it covered so fast that all of our heads spun!!!! Same thing when they returned to remove it!!!!
