Similar to Maurice below, I paid this man $500 to trap a skunk and rats under our house. He reset traps two or three times and didn't catch what we hired him to catch. He blamed me for various things like questioning why he wanted our crawl space 100% open during his trapping. He lied and said he removed and reset traps when he did not. I was home on the days he said he was there, my dog barks, and I checked the trap several times a day. This guy simply was lying about resetting the trap. He abandoned our house completely for 13 days. After a skunk sprayed under our house a second time while Daddys Pest Control was supposedly helping me with the problem, the smell was so bad we couldn't be in half our house for 3 days. I fired him. I hired a much better trapper who in less than 24 hours trapped and removed the skunk for half the price. Basically I paid this man $500 to do nothing, and a different guy $250 to trap and remove a skunk. 2 stars for his responsiveness to the first call and coming out to get the first $500 check and set a trap two or three times with cat food that caught a possum that was not the problem. Zero stars on actually doing what we needed him to do. A competent trapper getting the job done quickly with 24 hours of firing Daddy's Pest Control is all you need to know. He might be great for ants or bugs, but look elsewhere for bigger pests like skunks or rats. I am not trying to kill anyone's livelihood here, but this man is definitely not your guy for skunks or rats. read more

If you sort the 1 star reviews for Daddy's Pest Control, you'll see a common theme. A lot of 'he ghosted me," "terrible customer service," "I had to contact him to clean up the rats." Unfortunately this is the experience I had with Daddy's Pest Control. I made the stupid mistake of hiring them a second time for a rat problem after having a pretty lackluster experience with them the first time. I understand that there are issues with my unit but that does NOT excuse the terrible customer service and followup received by this company! My tenants found a dead rat from one of the traps that was set but like the previous reviewer said, they did not come back in a reasonable time period which lead to maggots. The number of excuses for not showing up are endless, "we were on vacation last week," "I'm currently out of town,". I paid for 4 visits but due to the awful customer service and followup, I had to request a refund for the last visit. Over $700+ pretty much down the drain. Got the feeling and vibe that once the money is received, you're sent to the bottom of the priority list and it's onto the next customer.  Maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones and have an experience like the 4-5 stars reviews on here. Just be aware, you've been warned, don't be surprised if you have an experience like mine and the other 1 star reviews.... If you're desperate enough, I would highly recommend paying for services on a per visit basis and/or use your credit card in case services aren't up to par/expectations. read more

John was able to come by inspect my place and set the proper traps that I needed. Without having an idea what was underneath my home (skunk or opossum) we finally caught the opossum that was stubborn to come out for almost 2 weeks. But with patience and the traps he placed strategically we finally got our troublemaker. Thank you so much and being very professional. read more

The worst company I've ever used first of all he came out with some traps that caught me and I'm 6 foot one for some small mice left them and never came back and charge me$400 what you're saying is not true. John by far is the best exterminator I have ever used. I used his service on 7/11/2018 and was not disappointed. I'm very skeptical when it comes to pest controls due to the bad experience I've had over and over. So, when I had a big problem with ants at my house this time, I had to do tremendous amount of research before I found John. I liked the reviews on yelp, so I decided to give him a call. At first, I was so annoyed by his explanation about the stuff I had to remove from all of the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Yes, ALL!!! I have twins and I really didn't have time to do that. But every time I've called him, he kept telling me over and over again to make sure when he comes - the stuff is outside. Otherwise, it's not going to be effective. I'm incredibly disappointed with this one to say the least. I paid for a repeat service for bees and rodents. $325 for 5 rodent visits and $175 for bee treatment with 60 day guarantee. After the first visit that was very efficient, very pleasant - I basically got ghosted. I reached out to schedule a second treatment and got a last minute cancel because he has gotten into a car accident, he told me. I totally understand but then I didn't hear from him and was blown off every time I tried to reach out for months after this. The only way I got in touch with him again was when my husband called from his number - lo and behold John picks up. No apologies, no explanation, and actually is STILL ghosting us. Dude. I just want you to do the work I already paid for. Or give me a refund. I'd love to change this review. Honestly. But you need to reach out and finish this work. read more

While changing the air filter on our under house heater, I noticed some droppings. After searching through Yelp, I decided to give Daddy's Pest Control a call. John promptly returned my call and we agreed on a time for him to examine my house and give me a quote. John was very honest and told me that I had rodent droppings an that they were old and the rodents most likely moved on to another house. John showed me the old vents on the house and told me that I could save money and buy some new vents and rodent traps at Home Depot. Or for a small fee, he could replace the vents and set the traps, including 4 weekly visits to check the traps. Each week, John sent me a report with findings and after 4 weeks, removed the traps. Fortunately, no rodents were caught and I now have 4 professionally installed house vents. read more

I am never one to write a bad yelp review even if I've had a horrible experience at a restaurant, store, phone call etc. Unfortunately I feel like a have to share my personal experience with this company. We had our house sprayed for bugs..we left for a couple of days to celebrate my birthday and was hoping to come back to somewhat of spider free home. They did explain to me that it takes a few weeks for insects to die after the treatment on house. The gentleman seemed to be in a rush when we was here. Very half ass to begin with. Long story short the problem with spiders in our home never improved. I made SEVERAL attempts to get in touch with the owner. Left many voicemails. Once he finally got back to me he explained that there is a warranty and reassured he would come back to respray. We even set a date. Wednesday in between 10-12. Never showed up. No phone call. No email. Nothing. He seemed annoyed to begin with when we spoke. I have a 2 year old daughter and full term pregnant with my second. I was hoping for some decent customer service. And they didn't come through. I ended up getting a bad spider bite in my bed a few weeks after the spraying that ended up getting infected. I do not recommend this company. Sorry to write this but I felt obligated to. $175 down the toilet. read more

Summer 2018 Review: We initially found Daddy's Pest Control through Yelp and John was beyond accommodating. He came out the next morning, diagnosed our issue (fleas) and was able to spray the property. Unfortunately from there, things went downhill. The flea issue persisted for many more days and weeks (well past the 3 week lifecycle) and to a point where my father had to get a doctor's prescription because over-the-counter ointments were not enough. Daddy's Pest Control had a 45-day warranty, but repeated phone calls, texts, and emails all went unanswered. Ultimately, we had to double pay and hire another Pest Control company to handle the flea issue (which they did). We would have loved to leave a glowing 5-star review, but had a horrible experience this time around. Based on our experience, I would NOT recommend Daddy's Pest Control. read more

First I have to say, this is the first time I ever felt the need to leave a bad review on yelp. I was happy when I called and he showed up the next day... BUT after I paid in full ($350), the following week and every week after I had to be the one calling to remind him to come in to check the mouse traps. Even when he did come it was an unexpected time and I was not able to answer the door TWICE. I gave him one last chance and called him AGAIN to see when he can come in to check the mousetraps in the house and he never came. I ended up doing it myself. Next time I find mouse droppings in the house I am taking care of it myself! This was not worth the money , time, or my stress. read more

Late last year, things started to break down and they had missed a scheduled call. I called many times and no returned calls after several weeks. I'm now searching for a new pest control company. I am not one to poorly rate a business, infact I don't even rate then if they fall below expectations unless there was a huge discrepancy between service provided vs service described and provided. Having dropped 350.00 on a service. This should have included the service placing wooden traps (the 1.00 traps) in various places, a walk thru to identify potential weak spots where rodents can make a home, then a weekly visits (at a coordinated time) to check a the traps and replace them if needed. Week one: no call about visit or time. I had to call 2x, week two: came late (window as 2 hours that they suggested), week three no call not show, week four I had someone come over to let them in but they never came. So I looked at the reviews and I saw that those who called john repeatedly ended up ghosted- I didn't want that so I played it cool. There was a five week weekly visit in this service, and welp, it was longer than five and I can't say I felt like I got some extras. I just had extra work trying to find out when they were coming by. The long and short is that I gave a donation, didn't feel like they provided a service any more that I had already provided for myself. And the walk around and inspection was virtually non existent. I can't say I would use them ever again, even in a pinch. I'd rather teach myself with youtube videos and save the whopping 350.00 read more

The owner John called me and left a messages today regarding my review. I appreciated his call, but don't appreciate the Yelp message he sent me. He said he has called me numerous times trying to schedule followup visits but I never returned his calls, and he said he offered warranty on the "out-of-line" work he did for me, namely, patching up the screen over the vent on top of my roof. Both statements were untrue. When he last called me in last December, he was interested in making extra money on trimming the tree, cleaning up the gutters and patching up the screen over the chimney vent, I told him I only wanted him to get rid of the rats. When asked when he could do the followup work on rats, he said he had to contact me, he never did afterwards. Last year John did call me a couple of times for followup work. In two occasions he called and said he'd be over on the same day, I took time off from work, waited for him, but he never showed up. He called later to apologize and said he's running behind his schedule. I never complained about it. I gave him plenty of opportunities to do his job, but he's never taken it seriously. Worst of all, he's not honest. Regarding the "warranty" he said he offered, I had to re-read, word by word, the invoice/receipt I got him, there's nothing on there that indicates the "warranty" he mentioned in his Yelp message from earlier today. I believe a lot of people would be as impressed as I was when they see those pictures with dead rats that John (the owner of Daddy's Pest Control) posted here, that's why I hired him two years in a row. Unfortunately, with over $800 I paid, I have not seen one single dead rat caught by the traps he's set up last year and this year! When I asked him why the baits were eaten but there were no dead rats, his explanation was that the rats were young rats, they were too small to be caught by the traps he set! Well, all I can say now is I feel so sorry that I hired Daddy's Pest Control because I was impressed by the pictures he posted. I just received another Yelp message from John, he wanted to come over for followup work and pick up the traps. I agree with other reviewers, if customers like us have paid for the service, we are entitled to keep the traps, why does he have to retrieve the traps if there's no dead rats on them? The only possible explanation is probably that these traps can be used over and over again elsewhere. It makes no sense how they can catch the rats if they were useless on the first place! I would definitely not recommend Daddy's Pest Control. Saving money to hire a small pest control guy might cost a lot more in the long run if the quality of work is poor, and/or there's no support on the work provided. I would rather spend more money hiring some established pest control company, at least I will have a company that would honor and back up their service, and I won't have to pay hundreds of dollars for nothing! read more

It didn't work. Deal was one initial pass for all my units (total of 3) and 2 or 3 more visits after to fumigate the surrounding of the building. It was impossible to figure out if those other 2 or 3 visits where honored. Also had to call for 2 or 3 more times because I still have a big roaches problem in one of the units within 30 days. I had another fumigation (inside) and the problem persisted. When I called again I have non-warranty excuses to not show up. It did not fumigate the roaches, it just fed them as the problem got worst over a few months until I just had all units fumigated again with a different company. Waste of money. read more

So, how can your review be less than a five when you get rid of a pest? John came over to handle a dead animal that we guessed was living underneath our house. There was a putrid smell coming from the hallway. He was underneath and out with the dead possum in about 10 minutes. THANK GOD! The smell is still there but he assured us it would clear up in a couple of days. I'm so happy to be rid of that thing. John was very informative and nice and told us how to prevent stuff like that from happening in the future. Responsive Prompt Clean Communicative, before, during and after service Fair prices We had them do a rat job involving a crawlspace, 2 stories and an attic. They set up a schedule to return and check, and were available to come back if we called them to clear a trap. We also used them for a rental where there was a problem with ants and spiders. It was raining a bit the day they came out, so they returned about a month later and gave it a second shot to take care of remnant activity. I am appreciative of John & Eric's honesty. I am an out of town landlord and there was no attempt to gouge me. They were also very good in dealing with my eldery Mom. I also like that they are paperless. So all my receipts are in e-file format and I could pay with my credit card over the telephone. read more

The job is good, I think, although I still had some mice urine smell in kitchen. I asked for some rat trap but he didnot think it is necessary. He had 1 successful follow up visit and twice I cannot make it with a 30 minutes notice. So it is totally 1 successful followup instead of 4 follow up he promised. He said that's it he will not come. I chagne my review to be 4 star because I didnot count the one that they come to work on sealing the house. Also they come once more after I wrote the review and point out a few spot. There is still one visit that we missed but since we didnot see rat anymore, so it's OK. Be notified the work DONOT INCLUDE CLEAN/SPRAY the infected area, I just felt it should be part of the job, they vacuum two drawers in the kitchen cabinet per my consist requrest. read more

John was very professional and very nice. Came out the same day we called him. Gave us his honest opinion about the noises we were hearing in our attic. Turns out the crows walking on our roof top was echoing thru the attic and thru the recessed lights in our ceiling. The space between our ceiling and the roof is very thin. He could find no rats or droppings or any kind of evidence that something was in our attic. He did find some weathered screens and vents that had holes where birds could get in and out of. He offered to repair those screens for a minimal amount. Took him less than an hour to do the repair. We'd recommend him to everyone we know. read more

It is a Saturday, and I have contractors working on the house. Work had to stop because of a newly hatched wasp nest. Called around to other local Pest Control companies, and got these responses: "We are closed on weekends. "Best I can do is Tuesday" Third try called "Daddy's Pest Control" their answer, I'm on my way. I'll be there in 15 minutes". in less than 5 minutes, after their arrival, my contractor work was back on schedule. Less than a 30 minute delay. Excellent customer service!!! I called to have the ant and spider problem taken care of at my office and John was very prompt to get in touch with me to schedule an appointment. He was very patient and made sure that he, myself and my supervisor were all on the same page. I really like that he made prepping the office simple and provided me with instruction on what needs to be moved etc. John was very professional in rescheduling our appointment due to a current job which is okay because he gave us a heads up. I never Yelp review but feel the need to on this one. Called got an appointment, he came out. Friendly thought ok... paid in full 450.00. Was told 5 visits . He set traps etc , my call was to rodent proof my cabin. Week 1- came back not a thorough walk thru. Week 2- told me a time , he came early and left before I got there. Week 3- he came and left . My other workers said he didn't even walk the perimeter of the house. Week 4- came , same lazy actions. Again my workers called me to say he did nothing. I called he came back only because I ripped him a new one. Week 5- no call. Do not waste your $. He is not really what he advertises.
