We work with Abraham who visits once a month to spray the outside of our house, and his work has significantly reduced the number of bugs we get. I'm so angry with this company. It used to be that I paid quarterly: $138 every 3 months. Now, they've moved to a monthly payment, which gouges the customer, but I'm still only receiving quarterly service. Unbelievable! I tried calling to cancel my service today, and no one would answer my calls--three times--even though I called within business hours. I live in a gated community and now have heard rodents in my attic. I was going to use HomeShield to service this problem since I'm paying monthly now, but after reading a review from Alyjaa S. and seeing how this company doesn't even set traps, I don't have a whole lot of faith that they can fix my problem. I'm canceling as soon as I can get someone on the phone! My HOA recommends Anderson Pest Innovations, so I've called them to fix my rodent issue. Anderson is coming this week. Meanwhile, Homeshield couldn't send someone until the following week. I can no longer wait. If Anderson does a good job, I will likely switch to them for my spider problem, which is what I had originally used HomeShield for. HomeShield does not reward loyalty, so what's the point in staying? read more

When you sign your contract be sure and read the fine print because their representative won't tell you about needing to contact them to cancel their service even though you sign up for service for a specific period of time. They will continue to bill you until you contact them and cancel. They get 2 stars because they did the job we hired them to do, and our problem was solved. read more

Highly recommend Chase and his team for any termite concerns. We called HomeShield after we discovered what we suspected were termites, and they promptly sent Chase out to inspect. This was our first time dealing with an active termite infestation PLUS we had a small child, so we had lots of questions and concerns about the treatment process. Chase patiently and thoroughly answered all of my questions, and took my concerns seriously. I especially appreciate that he didn't use any pressure sales tactics, or try to upsell us. The treatment was scheduled promptly, and our service tech Luis was also great (knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to answer questions). We were so happy with their service that when our extended family needed a termite inspection, we insisted that they use HomeShield, and specifically request to have Chase as the inspector. Nobody wants to deal with termites, but Chase and his team make the process as pain-free as possible. We'll definitely use them again for any termite concerns. read more

The staff was very responsive and answered all of my questions when booking. I have a young child at home and wanted to do my part to keep bugs away. We notice a lot of spider webs and mosquitoes in our yard. We have earwigs popping up in the house. Sergio came at his scheduled time and sprayed some parts of the interior. I was on a zoom meeting and didn't follow him around but he finished in a couple minutes. He moved to the exterior and also finished quickly. When I asked about certain parts being sprayed, he said he would spray them if I wanted. He was super lax about spraying. I was kind of counting on his expertise to spray locations that needed to be sprayed. The longest part of the visit was knocking down the spider webs. After the service, I still noticed these bugs. I reached out to Sergio and he said this was normal as we flushed the bugs out of their homes. He would push up our 30 days visit. That was the last I heard from Sergio and the company. The prices are competitive but I still paid $154 for this visits (after a discount). No one bothered to schedule my future appointment. Like many people, I'm very busy which is why I was willing that pay those prices. I thought this company would stay on top of my pest control. I didn't realize I would still need to reach out and remind them to provide services. Today I reached out to cancel. I spoke with Marnel and he offered to come service the house himself. Honestly, I'm over it. This is too much work, I can just do it myself at this point. I will pay for convenience and this place did not pan out as convenient. 10/27/22 Update Marnel reached out after this review went live. He offered to refund my money. Although I never asked for a refund, I accepted this offer. He then asked that I take the review down. Since this refund came with stipulations, I declined the refund. We had an ant infestation recently and they would not stop! Called HomeShield and set up an appointment. There was a good initial discount on the first service and I signed up for a quarterly maintenance plan. They sprayed outside and indoors and cleared spider webs. I've noticed the spider webs haven't come back, so that's definitely an added bonus! The spiders were taking over. Ty was new, but she was very friendly and informative. It was good to learn what she was doing. Ultimately very pleased with the treatment. Also at ease knowing the chemicals are more environmentally friendly. I don't really put too much stock in that as it's still a pesticide, but nice that it's slightly safer. read more

I have a year long subscription from april. I had Saul treating my home and he was wonderful!! I would give him 10/5 stars if i could. He would text the day before, be very thorough, genuine and kind. Very understanding and even when we gave him access to garage and home to spray when we were gone he was so honest. However home shield changed to Elias without any notice. We were notified day before without any time frame as usually done by Saul. Elias called day of 5 min before, we weren't aware and able to open the door so he literally sprayed none of the artificial grass on exterior ( because we didn't open the dog gate) . All of this is on our yard camera. When I called and asked Elias said none of the grass is included in the "exterior foundation" . I had to call the office and confirm whats on my contract which specifically included that grass area. I changed technicians... hope I have a better experience. Without Saul I will most likely stop my subscription and may change providers. read more

I needed to have a dead rodent removed and disinfected in an accessible area. Of course they have to do an inspection first then schedule the service, in the meantime the place smells. Brian came and showed my wife where all the places were that rodents can get in, etc. sent us a quote for 1800.00 and quoted a monthly maintenance fee. We spoke on the phone, I told him I am a contractor and can fix all the holes, could you just come out and clean up the mess. I called the office after the weekend and he hadn't submitted the paperwork so the office could schedule the clean up. He finally called a day later. He told me he would have to write up another whole estimate. That was the last I heard from anyone. I guess since I wasn't interested in the money making portion he was no longer interested. read more
