UPDATE: an inspection visit from adam feels like family, which says a lot about how bad our rat issue got this summer, now fixed thx to adam cameron and team HS. today he ckd smell under house (standing water from leak and storm, not dead rat!), ckd attic (heard noise, nothing there but did whole house inspect, found one more place to seal :) and showed me pics of gutters while on roof (def need cleaning, hope HS starts that service soon!) adam is 100% focused professional AND friendly, great combo. thx adam, thx HS!! We have used HomeShield since moving and the service has been consistent and thorough. In spring we had several wasp nests. In late summer we were swarmed by ants. In fall we've had rats nesting in a lilac and field mice invading our garage. All of these have been well handled by HomeShield. HomeShield was a life saver after we realized there were rats in our garage and they had chewed through our dishwasher cord. I was actually going out of town and it didn't phase them, they came out and worked with my mom to set traps and basically had the majority of the problem handled before we got back. We called them out a week ago as well because a trap had caught a nice big rat in the garage and Michael came right out and took care of it. I hired them for rats in my attic. They came out and did some treatments. They said they never found anything in the traps but we knew there were rats up there. Now a few months later the rats are back and HomeShield won't even answer my emails. Edit: I still haven't heard from the company. Not to my original request or this review. We unfortunately found evidence of subterranean termites in our house. Fernando came and gave us the initial quote. He was super friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We got a few quotes and HomeShield was slightly lower, but we liked Fernando much better than the other company's representative which sealed the deal. Then a young man by the name of Isaac came to do the work. He was so friendly, polite and respectful of our home. Without my asking, any time he came inside he was sure to put booties on over his work boots which looked clean to me. I wish all people who came to my house to do a job were as polite and pleasant to deal with as Isaac. After the job was done, I noticed there was a small area that was missed. Fernando gave us his card and told us we were free to call him directly regarding any part of the job. So, I called him and told him some of the area around the house wasn't drilled. He came to look and agreed the area was missed. To be fair, part of the area had a large box holding the cushions for our outdoor furniture and I didn't think to move it or ask about it. Fernando told me the office would call to schedule a tech to treat the area that was missed. Unfortunately, I didn't hear back from them for about a week so I called Fernando again. He apologized and said he would call the office immediately. About 5 minutes later I got a text from the office to schedule the work. I was very happy when Isaac (same person who did the work) showed up to finish the job. The only reason I docked a star was because the office failed to call me to schedule the missed area, but overall we were very happy with service and people who came to do the work, which is so very rare these days. read more

I was a client (as of 10 mins ago) of this Pest Control service for over a year or so and I WOULD NOT recommend them at all. The "Home Office" or call center along with their management is the absolute worst. I just now got off the phone with a call center rep and was forced to cancel my service. Not only are they incredibly rude but incredibly unprofessional. They keep scheduling services and I have to call to cancel them. One time, the cancellation was not noted and they serviced just the front bushes and door but I was charged the full amount and had to request them to come back to do the entire backyard. I was set up in the portal to pay per invoice yet they automatically charged my card without authorization/consent as well. When I got the text that they were coming this Saturday, I called to cancel this treatment, the woman on the phone was rude and condescending then proceeded to tell me that if I didn't like it then my contract would be terminated. I don't care for a Bully Tactic so I immediately told her she could cancel my contract. There is no shortage of amazing Pest Control companies so I certainly won't be giving my hard earned money to a business that treats their long standing clients in such a demeaning manner. It's funny to me that in this economy, businesses have the audacity to be rude to clients who have been loyal to their company. The only good thing about this company is the Pest Control technicians they hire. Outside of that, management and Admin. personnel is subpar which is putting it kindly. Do yourself a favor and find a more respectable and professional place to give your money to. This IS NOT a company I would ever use again or recommend. read more
