2 meat dinner with pulled pork and brisket and for the sides we ordered the Mac n cheese and the chili.
    Angie W.

We ordered the 2 meat dinner with mac n cheese and chili for our sides. The meat was juicy but the sauces were all lacking in flavor and thickness. They were all very watery and pretty basic, with no strong flavor in any of them except maybe the mustard one. The macaroni and cheese was delicious as was the chili. We have to hunt down our server for the bill. I'd probably go somewhere else to eat if I was back in town.

Had some very good BBQ at Home Team. The ribs were very good, the smoked turkey and chicken too. The coleslaw was good but nothing special. The kids sliders were very good and they liked them. The only drawback was the sauces were okay but not great. When we saw the six or seven of them lined up it seemed like it would be fun to try them all but none were particularly delicious. Not bad, just not a draw. Hence the 4 stars.

Had a quick stay at this hotel for a wedding and grabbed some breakfast here. Overall was pretty good! Pricing was fair and portion was large. Good option for a meal if you don't want to go into downtown.

OUTSTANDING CHICKEN WINGS!! I love chicken wings and this was the #1 best chicken wing I've ever had. We ended up ordering more they were just so perfect. Can't wait to come back and eat here regularly.

3 meat platter double pulled pork, Mac & Chesse, & brisket chili

As someone from Texas who has had a lot of barbecue and even smokes my own, I have pretty high standards--but Home Team BBQ in Aspen seriously impressed me. The pulled pork and smoked turkey were both spot-on, with great flavor and perfect texture. And the brisket chili? I didn't know I needed that in my life, but now I don't know how I ever lived without it. Beyond the food, the service was excellent. The bartender was not only extremely nice but also really knowledgeable, making great recommendations and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a barbecue aficionado or just looking for a great meal after a day on the slopes, this place is a must-visit. Can't wait to come back!

Smoked wings with two sauces. The absolute star of the evening every time I visit here.

This is my family's second year spending Thanksgiving in Snowmass/Aspen. Last year we happened upon this BBQ restaurant and I ended up coming back again before the week was over because I enjoyed it tremendously. This place is set inside the Inn at Aspen. There's plenty of parking in the lot in front- and electric chargers for vehicles in the side lot. We came tonight on the early side as we had three children in our group and everyone was pretty hungry. Ordered food for the kids right away- and a side of tater tots for them to share. The tots are fancified with thyme, pepper and seasoned salt. I made a 180 decision on a cocktail and ordered a Tattooine, which is essentially more or less a margarita-esque drink but it has prickly pear juice and lots of spice so it was a beautiful and tasty cocktail. The adults ordered 12 smoked wings with white sauce. They also come with a second sauce, which was also tasty but I had no idea what it was- kind of garlicky and similar texture to an aioli. These wings are tremendous! Smoked and then I believe fried to a crisp before coming out. I would've eaten them all but we went entrees right after. Chose the two meat combo platter with a half rack of St Louis style Ribs and also smoked turkey. My sides were the tomato and cucumber salad with pickled onions, and the Brunswick Stew. Also comes with a warm and pillowy roll, homemade pickles and pickled onions- with a gift of a couple pork rinds that are so crunchy and seasoned addictively. The ribs? Done so well, the bark is incredible, these ribs are masterfully done. Some places will cheat and boil ribs before smoking or grilling them- no shortcuts here. Lots of meat due to the STL cut. Basically get 3 double rib portions in a half rack- could've just stuck with that. The smoked turkey was flavorful and also still juicy. I used a few different sauces because I'm hopelessly addicted to them. Six different types of sauces, from traditional with different levels of heat, to a mustard based sauce, and a pepper and vinegar sauce that sneaks up on you. I didn't come close to finishing my meal. That's the good news- I'll have more than two meals out of this visit. I placed an order of pork rinds to go. Couldn't help myself. Our server Derek crushed our service tonight. Everything was great food wise, we never needed anything more but Derek was all over his section making sure nobody waited for anything should they need it. When he brought out my giant bag of pork rinds, I had NO IDEA they came with pimiento cheese! I have several weaknesses and pimiento cheese is always near the top. It's such a bonus that I am going to destroy these tomorrow for MNF. Derek also helped us with providing boxes and containers for our sides, and a larger bag so it was easier to manage. I got an extra side of white sauce because I'm gonna drown my turkey in it. Derek also brought a small ramekin of limes for acidity and balance with the chili seasoning. Our family has now been here three times. Each visit was great! No complaints about anything- I also heard (and remembered from a previous visit) that the chicken and white bean chili was a huge hit! The interior of this establishment is definitely a little fancier than most BBQ joints I've been to. TVs everywhere for NFL Sunday, a pool table and enough seats at the bar to handle a crowd. Well worth the visit if you're willing to give it a go.

Brisket (fatty), pulled pork (fatty), Mac and cheese (awesome), beans (eh)

Mac and cheese Sauces Service Also the beer selection was good. The meet however was mediocre. My husband is big on BBQ meats. I'm big on BBQ sides (hence the Mac and cheese eating). He thought the brisket was fatty and the pulled pork was a cheap cut of meat (it was also fatty). Parking is easy. Lots of free parking out front of the hotel the restaurant is in. Service was friendly. They have a fireplace, which is nice. But we thought the meat was too fat. Additional info: we are born and raised in the deep south - GA and TN.

Great spot at the base of Buttermilk mountain near Aspen. Make sure you try the smoked (not fried) wings, they are amazing and were the highlight of our lunch. We got the barbecue platter, a delightful selection of smoked meats with your choice of sauce already on the table. The pulled pork was money though the brisket was really really fatty. Again, go with the wings and I also hear the nachos are fantastic as well, gives me an easy reason to come back. This was a great spot to stop with the kiddo to stretch his legs and get some food in our bellies before venturing over Independence pass. Will definitely get here again, always in for good barbecue!

I came with my flight crew (just a couple of pilots in addition) and we just sat at the bar. I had the kale rotisserie chicken salad. The peanut dressing does have soy sauce so it is not gluten free, so they brought me a champagne vinaigrette instead. It was delicious. They are pet friendly and have outdoor seating! Servers were very friendly although the serving can take a bit longer, depending on how busy they are. The French Dip came with lots of prime rib and a cup of Au jus, with horseradish to cut down on the heaviness. Crispy chicken sandwich was my favorite! It came sliced in three so the portion was massive. The chicken had more of a Japanese katsu style breading on it so it was super crispy. The burger was also a solid choice. Great bun to filling ratio and the spicy slaw was a complemented the burger well. The fries were pricey and I didn't realize that they weren't a side but an appetizer, but these fries were super crispy and delicious. You could tell that they were fried freshly on the spot. The creamy sauce it came with paired well with them! Deviled eggs were savory and had a kick from the pickle relish. This was my first time eating creamed corn and I liked it! It was warm and creamy, with a slight kick from the jalapeño slices.

Our experience at Meat & Cheese in Aspen was disappointing from beginning to end…read more To start with, the food was mediocre in every sense. The quality did not justify the prices, the flavors were forgettable, and nothing we ordered stood out. Unfortunately, what happened afterward was far worse. My wife accidentally left behind a shopping bag containing a brand new pair of sunglasses she had purchased earlier that day. When she returned to retrieve them, our interaction with a server named Carson was deeply disappointing. Instead of simply confirming ownership in a courteous and professional manner, Carson repeatedly questioned whether the sunglasses were actually hers. He kept emphasizing that they were brand new and worth around $600, making it clear that he found it difficult to believe they belonged to her. It was impossible not to feel that she was being judged based solely on her appearance. There is absolutely nothing wrong with verifying ownership of a valuable item. In fact, we appreciate businesses that take lost property seriously. What is unacceptable is allowing assumptions and stereotypes to influence how customers are treated. One lesson worth remembering is that genuine elegance and long established wealth rarely need to announce themselves. Those who have had the privilege of success across generations often feel no need to advertise it with designer logos or outward displays. True class is reflected in education, humility, confidence, and, above all, in the way people treat others. Ironically, Carson's assumptions said far more about his own judgment than they did about my wife. No customer should ever be made to feel that they need to "look wealthy" in order to be treated with respect. We hope management addresses this issue seriously. The mediocre food was forgettable. Being judged and treated with prejudice is not. Every guest deserves to be treated with courtesy, professionalism, and dignity, regardless of how they are dressed or what assumptions someone chooses to make about them.

The decor has definitely got the Dia-de-los-muertos vibes with prayer candles included. Like a 10 on the super spicy meter. Won't be getting that again. Service was friendly by our waiter but the "hostess" who gave us our menus? She needs some training or change of jobs. She didn't "greet" us. There was No hello? No smile? No eye contact? I'm so tired of restaurants placing the grumpiest person at the entrance to greet your guests. She just threw the menus on the table and walked away. Really? Is that how you would treat guests at your house? Maybe they just lost their motivation since they will be closing October 2025. I wish I would have had a chance to peruse the menu more, I must have been distracted by the negative energy the hostess gave us because the queso and elote that our neighbor had looked yummy so I wish we would have ordered that instead. Another downer? A local drunk at the bar yelling the F word? Ugh seriously? Where's my Palo Santo when I need it? Sage anybody? Some holy water? They might consider putting some of those prayer candles on the tables! I needed one because this visit had a lot of negative jou-jou! Overall it was just a quick stop for a drinkie and apps despite the mishaps. I hope they re-train the "hostess" or whatever she was to be friendlier.
