The best dining option at buttermilk. Make sure to try the Mongolian grill at least once--delicious mixed veggies and protein, if a little oily. There are always cheaper lunch specials too and the chicken wrap is also a great option.

Need a break from m skiing or snowboarding, then stop by at Cliffhouse at Buttermilk mountain. It's great to grab a soup, hot noodle bowl, burger, and adult beverages!!! The kitchen usually closes around 2:45 pm since the lift closes at 3:30 pm which is earlier than other ski resorts. There is beer, wine, and alcoholic sparkling water like white claw. The setup is more of a cafeteria, but there is a wait staff that are constantly cleaning the tables. The views at the Cliffhouse are breath taking whether you are sort tag inside by the window or enjoying a meal out door. There are also plenty of restrooms at the restaurant and areas to sit and take a break.

Surprisingly good food. Aspenish, overpriced but truly good food in my experience. The best views around. Free water that's my tip

Something that clearly needs to be stated for an 8:15 reservation. Aspen is a vacation spot and we're expecting to drink and be festive rather than be told that kitchen is closing and staff all want to get out of here. Jordan, our server, absolutely had no patience for us , especially For our celiac (gluten free) friend. She completely disappeared, as if her shift ended at 9.Erica , the manager, took over the serving duties and she clearly needs training on dealing with customers. As a chef/ restauranteur of 30 years i was absolutely appalled by the way Erica handled our criticism. We all agreed we have never felt more unwelcome in a restaurant in our lives. The food was average at best. I do believe at one point in time it was good, but standards have slipped. We ordered mapo tofu and was told they weren't making it today? Not we are out of it just "Frank isn't making it". There seems to be no leader or anyone in charge. what a disappointing experience and we will never go back. Period
