Was a good stop around the Alpine slope area. Not a fan of the multiple levels when you have ski boots on but it worked. Food options were good but limited because of COVID.

I had been to Elk Camp for lunch on the mountain the day before, and my sister in law said she liked Gwyn's better, so we all met there for lunch the next day. I figure that sis liked Gwyn's better because the dining area is a little less crowded than the long tables set close together at Elk Camp. She doesn't have the special diet that I do. I should have looked at all the yummy Yelp photos before coming to Gwyn's because then I would have tried harder to find something that resembled the photos. My cursory glance around the circular food station area only showed me gluten-laden bread, bready things and more bread in various forms. I made a beeline to the area that seemed to have stir fry. The mixed veggies were getting awfully low and I asked the lady if I could have two cups of the veggies. Ended up with only one. (I was splitting a single person lunch with my hubby.) She offered me rice. I said, only one half cup, please. I ended up with much more than that on the plate, but when I asked her to give me less, it slid back into the steam table. I added chicken, enough for two, about six to eight ounces, I told her. I spotted sweet 'tater fries at another station and that brought the veggie total up to what I needed. I did not see any gluten free cookies or treats. I had seen them at Elk Camp. Eating out on the patio was very pleasant. There were grey jays begging for handouts. The view of the mountains was very peaceful. There was live music. What more could I expect or want, having lunch at 10,461 feet? At the top of the Alpine Springs chair lift. Ski equipment and lift ticket required to dine here.

I had lunch here at least once a week in the winter during my ski breaks. My favorite one is chicken stew, but sometimes they put to much potatoes and you can't find the chickens . Although I like this place because I love Snowmass mountain a lot. It's my favorite mountain for skiing- in all of four mountain. Snowmass is a perfect mountain for family skiing/snowboarding because they offer so much. Snowmass have jumping parks, nastar race track, beginners to double black terrains, love..love.., Snowmass! George one of the owners of this restaurant is always friendly. They just remodel or demolish this restaurant last summer and it's gorgeous! I love that the toilets are on the 1st floor now it used to be downstairs and it was hassle walking down the stairs on your ski boots. Ps: look for an airplane that hanging in the ceiling upstairs.

I had a breakfast burrito with salsa, guacamole, and sour cream; side of potatoes. The food was fresh and tasty, and the staff were friendly. Their cafeteria fare is less expensive than many of the food places and in Snowmass Village. Gwyn's is near the top of the Alpine Springs lift and it is necessary to ski a blue trail to get down. The facility itself is a little older than the others on my the mountain, but well kept.

This is probably our favorite place to stop on the mountain, although we're usually in the bar for a mid-ski break. The drinks are delicious, the staff is very nice, and the view is just fantastic

Gwyn's has been consistently voted North America's best on-mountain restaurant by Ski and Skiing.

(The dining room, not the cafe.) Phenomenal venue of ski-in fine dining located mid-mountain on Snowmass. The atmosphere is European ski lodge. Sit by the picture windows and watch the snow fall, knowing life doesn't get any better than this. It's a tough decision choosing to go for breakfast or for lunch. To do both would be too, too piggish. Either way, it's incredibly delicious, consistently excellent cuisine. This may be my favorite restaurant in the entire world. Reservations necessary.

The crispy chicken sandwich is honestly one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Perfectly crispy, juicy, and balanced with just the right amount of heat. The kale salad and fries were also excellent, and everything came out quickly despite how busy the place was. The service was upbeat and welcoming, and the whole experience felt effortless. If you want a fun, laid-back lunch or dinner in Aspen without sacrificing quality, this is absolutely the place.

The service was wonderful, we got our food very quickly, and the ambiance was adorable. A little loud but nothing too crazy. The food itself was fine. We ordered the duo dip, French fries, the French dip, and the chicken sandwich. The guac and the other dip were really good and we loved the chips too. The fries are pretty much what you'd expect, except once they got to room temperature they became super hard and not very edible. My husband said the French dip meat was good and tender, pretty good flavor overall. I had the chicken sandwich which was huge! They split the sandwich into three wedges and I could only finish two. I liked the texture of the chicken was nice and I liked the slaw on it, however, the flavor overall was kind of lacking. I would say it was a bit overhyped. Overall, it was a nice experience for a decent price and I'm glad we went. Would we go back? Probably.

It was very distracting and why I can't give 5 stars. Service was great - our server was attentive and all employees shared in clearing plates which I always like to see. Nothing really stood out to me as far as decor goes - if there was anything cool it was overshadowed by the tvs. For drinks, my husband had an old fashioned which was good but not out of the park. I had their mocktail of the moment which was a yuzu Moscow mule. It was delicious and I'd highly recommend. On the food front, Hideout did a grand job. We started with their special loaded kimchi waffle fries. Epic! I love kimchi and everything about this dish was perfect. For entrees, my husband had their Thai Me Up Burger with shoestring fries and was very pleased with it. Cooked as requested and fun flavors. I had their Fried Chicken Sandwich with kimchi pasta salad and while I only ate half due to being filled from waffle fries, it was very tasty. On the whole, I enjoyed the food and drink at The Hideout, but not sure I would return for the atmosphere or recommend for large groups who want to hang out sans distractions. Zero Proof Review: I'm on a quest to check out all the zero proof, mocktail and n/a beverages that Denver and beyond has to offer. The Hideout did not have a very robust selection so I would love to see them expand that, but their seasonal mocktail was one of the best I've had, so kudos for creativity and craft!

Truly one of the best dinning experiences I have ever had. The use of locally sourced meat from CCR and Law's Bourbon is such a great add. Food - the steak tartare is completely unmatched in presentation & preparation. I love traditional steak tartare but this was a really great take on it. The menu has a considerable presence of peas and beans incorporated into this dishes which is a unique touch from other high end restaurants. The dishes were amazingly plated, and the tastes were so tremendously brought together with quality. Do NOT miss the pistachio tiramisu. The absolute best dessert I have ever had. The host was pleasant and immediately took us to a table for two. After more than a few minutes, a waitress arrived. I can't even tell you her name, bc she never introduced herself; she basically walked up and asked (almost annoyingly) "hey, are you drinkin' or what?" - the whole night she had this attitude and barely checked on us. More on her later though... I ordered the bomb diggity [bourbon, alchermes, cinnamon, spicy peppers, lemon, szechuan bitters] - it was disappointing for me as I anticipated more "burn and spice" with those ingredients but was actually more on the sweet side, but not a bad cocktail by any means (just less my style). My wife ordered the get squashed [tequila, dry curacao, allspice roasted squash, agave, lime, hickory salt rim] - had this with mezcal instead - which was what I would call a very fun cocktail and would definitely get again! We ordered the Steak tartare for an appetizer, followed by the Red wine cavatelli for the wife and pan roasted colorado striped bass for myself. After a decent amount of wait time, our entrees arrived (delivered by food runners)- We ask, what happened to our appetizer? They indicate they will find our server. Our unnamed waitress comes back to the table and made a comment something to the effect of "the kitchen must have messed it up," no apology, no "let me check on that," just shrugged it off and asked "so do you still want it?" The entrees were good but too much time has passed for me to provide significant detail here, we were also just flustered by the waitress-tartare situation. Ultimately we decided we would still like the steak tartare and would just consider it "dessert" since we had been looking forward to it, and I'm glad we did. It was DELISH. The tots? Fantastic and unique base for the tartare. When the bill came I am pretty sure this is the first and only time our waitress smiled. There was, again, no apology or comped portion of the bill. We did speak with the manager (who was super personable and understanding) to let him know our concerns about said waitress. Overall, the food here is worth it but that waitress should find another job, perhaps one with less human interaction.
