Simply said, this is by far the only place I will take my phone to. I've owed Ray and this business a review for quite a while and now I'm keeping up to my promise. Better late than never!!! I've dealt with Hoboken Wireless in 3 occasions: 1.- June 2015: I dropped my LG G2 and got run over by car. Thanks to the protective case, the only real damage was a shattered screen. At the same time, my wife had her Samsung Galaxy S4 screen's broken. Within 24 hrs, they were both fixed. I think the only thing Ray did not have in in stock at the time was the screen for my LG G2 and in fair honesty, I came in rather late that day. I left both phones with Ray and they were completed by next day around noon. Both pones looked like brand new and worked perfectly. 2.- Aug 2015: I travel for work very often and I was frustrated with the 3ft cable Apple provides with the iPad's. Come on, let's be serious, who has an outlet within 3 feet at all times. Anyway, I decided to pop in into Ray's store and found a heavy gauge cable to charge the iPad that is 10ft long. Still have the cable and love it. I Never leave home without it. That was in Aug 2015. 3.- July 11, 2016: A Few Months back, I had my Galaxy S6 in a Spigen Ultra Hybrid FX case. Loved the case until I dropped my phone and the Lens Frame glass broke. Out of all things, that small part had to break. I purchased the replacement part and a SUPCASE for my phone. Since the SUPCASE protects it, I did not bother to try to change it and left it like that for a while. Now that I want to get a new case, it was time to make the repair. So, I walked in to change the Camera Frame Holder for my Samsung Galaxy S6 which Ray did in 5 mins and charged me peanuts for the service. On all occasions I've been greeted when I entered, the conversations and discussions about repair have always been cordial and have never felt like I was being screwed. I've seen what some phone repairs go for and here I don't feel like I'm over paying. In summary, when you are looking for Good Price, High quality and Fast work (Three things difficult to find now a days on a single business) this is the place you need to bring in your device. Brought my son's iPhone 5c in because it would not charge. Ray looked at it, opened it up, and in short order pulled out a small lint ball (I swear I checked that already!) - mission accomplished and no charge... Until I got home and plugged it in. Still wouldn't charge. Brought it back and Ray tested the charger port, and when that was ruled out replaced the battery. Repair was done in 30min and cost much less than any other option. During the Covid-19 pandemic I shattered my screen. Luckily Hoboken Wireless was open as an essential business. The owner was extremely kind and efficient. My phone was done in about 15-20 minutes. The price is on par if not better than most but most importantly my screen is functioning perfectly. Sometimes you get a screen replaced and some buttons won't work or it freezes but everything is just as it was before I broke it. I call asking about a broken LCD screen for an android yesterday and the person I speak to says I need to order the screen and they can do an installation for $45. I order the screen and call in to double check and now the owner says they can't do it. He conferences in the employee to "yell" at him and threaten to fire, at that point I hang up. Just unprofessional all around, either you can do a service or not, don't tell potential customers one thing, have them spend time and money to buy a part, then tell them the next day it was a waste of your time. I do not recommend and would suggest going elsewhere for phone repairs. read more

Absolutely terrible. I am seriously surprised by all of these positive reviews, as these people clearly have no idea what they are doing and turned my working phone with a cracked screen into a completely useless nonworking phone. I cracked the screen on my iphone 5s and went here to have them replace it. The phone worked fine, just needed the screen replaced. The guy said it would be $80 and 30 mins. I paid and came back 45 minutes later. I was told they were still working on it. After about 15 more minutes, I was told it was good as new and I left, only to realize shortly thereafter that it wasn't quite working right. So I went back, had them work on it for another 25 minutes, and then was told it was all set. So I leave, again, and make a call that sounded terrible. The speaker was clearly messed up. So I went back, again, and had them fix the speaker (after another 20 minutes). Everything seemed to be in order this time, so I left. Later that day, I tried to take a photo and my camera was not working. So I tried to restart the phone. It would not fully restart, and was stuck on the white screen with the Apple icon permanently. I was unable to get it to fully reboot with soft and hard resets, nor could I even turn it off. I went back the next day, told the guy what happened, and demanded a refund, which I received after being quite insistent. I did not receive any sort of apology or further attempt to fix it (for what would have been the fourth time). Then, I had to order a new phone through Verizon, and even with insurance, had to pay the $200 deductible. So basically, these people broke my otherwise fully functioning phone, and cost me an additional $200 to order a new one and two days without a phone in the process. I definitely learned my lesson and will only take my phone to the professionals at the Apple Store from now on. read more

I have been here twice and the service was okay. However, he seems a bit dishonest at times. I took my iPhone to repair the screen and it was returned with all my pictures and information deleted. I'm not sure how it happened but he claimed he didn't know what was going on. The new screen kept changing color and my phone kept switching off. I walked in there yesterday 10 minutes before close, convinced that my Samsung Galaxy S3 had a broken power button. Ray told me to come by in the morning to pick up the repaired phone. When I arrived the next day, he informed me that I had diagnosed the problem wrong. And even though he replaced the button as I requested, there was a more serious electrical fault with the device. Brought my iphone 7 in for a repair. New screen looked washed out and not close to flush with the frame. So I was a little bummed since it looked like they were using one of the cheaper grades of 3rd party screens. After walking around with the phone in my front pocket for a few hours the new screen cracked again. After returning to the store next day, they refused to replace the screen. After calling the manager, they agreed to replace the 24hr old screen for $30.. I decided to dispute the charge and find a store which has more expertise and uses higher end screens. I would have given -ive stars had I got that option. TOTAL SCAM. My Story: I wanted to jailbreak my HTC because my contract was over with ATT and they were not being helpful in unlocking the phone. I wanted to give it to my brother to use it. Went to Hoboken Wireless , they asked for $80 for a jailbreak (Are you Kidding me!!!). After a lot of haggle the kid on the front desk lowered it to $60 (Special discount he said , What BS!). Got the phone back after 2 days, couldn't check because I was not carrying any spare sim card. But was assured that it will work. Went over to brother's and tried it with T mobile sim....Beeep , doesn't work!!! Came back and complained, This time to the actual owner (thats what he claimed to be). He promised to fix it for sure this time. (for $60 hell yeah you should fix it!) Went to get the phone after 2 days again. TRIED it AGAIN with t-mobile... Beep , doesn't work AGAIN!!! My brother got really fed up and got it fixed from another place he knew.
