I purchased a fairly sophisticated alarm system from Mitchell over two years ago. I initially…read morereached out to him because I wanted more than the "2 doors and 1 motion detector" intro package offered by the national chains. Mitchell came to my home and we spent hours designing a system including not only all of the typical stuff such as door and window sensors and motion detectors, but also glass break monitors and water alarms for the laundry room and sump pump areas. Mitchell did not "sell" any of this stuff to me. I asked for it and we designed an excellent system together. The reason that I am writing the review today is because this is the first time that I have spoken to Mitchell in over two years. I received an alert on my control pad that a battery was low and I didn't know which device needed the new battery. I called Mitchell on his cell phone. He picked up on the second ring. I had the battery in a drawer and he identified the device and walked me through the battery change over the phone. This tells you a couple of things: 1. The equipment that Mitchell sold to me over 2 years ago works without issue. I literally have had not spoken to him in over 2 years because I have NEVER had a problem. My big problem today was that I needed a new battery. I'm OK with that. 2. Mitchell answers his phone. He is extremely responsive and knowledgeable. Mitchell is a good guy. He knows what he is doing and he sells good stuff. I recommend him without hesitation.

He suggested we troubleshoot over the phone before sending a technician to my house. Since the equipment is old, he had to send a technician after all. While I was waiting for the technician to arrive, I fiddled with the settings and ended up resolving the issue on my own. What really stood out to me was the honesty--both Mitchell and the technician could have easily said I needed new equipment or upgrade or unnecessary work, but instead they were supportive and completely upfront. Very fair, trustworthy, and refreshing to deal with a company that operates with integrity. Highly recommend for your security needs!

As a real estate agent, it's very often my job to recommend people to my clients. Bergen Protective Systems is a company I can count on to always do the right thing. Let me give you a current example: Seniors selling their home called the company that installed their wired in fire detectors They needed the system tested and certified. That's all they needed. I happened to get there when they were being taken advantage of; they were being told they needed to buy unnecessary extras. I told the guy to leave, then explained it all. My sellers were furious. I called Bergen Protective Systems because another wired in system needed to be certified. Although it meant that Bergen wasn't going to get a job, they advised me to call an electrician. This system is identical to that of the seniors above. That other company did work they should not have touched. How would I or any homeowner know? Bergen Protective Systems did the right thing. You can always count on Bergen. This is an ethical company that does a truly terrific job. Don't make a mistake by going elsewhere. All of the above happened within the past 5 days.

Being a renter, I am not afforded much wiggle room to make changes to the location. This was of much concern to me as I wanted to get an alarm system. Advanced Security made it very easy, and was able to put a fully wireless alarm system in my apartment. Windows and doors are protected with wireless sensors, there was no need to drill any holes for anything. The motion detector and glass break sensors installed are also wireless. No drilling and no holes means I will definitely get my security deposit back when my lease is up! While securing my apartment! At first I was skeptical about paying for a phone line just for the alarm system, in addition to monitoring charges. But with the wireless system I had installed, there was no need to get a phone line. The alarm communicates with a wireless radio, no need for phones. Best of all I am able to control my alarm with my iphone. There have been a few times where I have been in a rush and bolted out the door, only to remember that I forgot to set the alarm. No big deal, I take my phone out, fire up an app, and within seconds I arm my alarm system remotely. The technicians who came to my apartment were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions and addressed my concerns.
