Here is my issue with this store. There is a sign on the counter that reads if you give them 5 stars on YELP before you check out, they will give you a discount on your bill. That's called Bribery. Something is wrong with that. I had made an appointment to get my phone fixed. It might have been a battery problem. They honored my appointment on time. Was I satisfied with their service? Yes. Was I satisfied with their communication? Yes. Did they fix the issue with my phone? Yes. Were they polite, professional, and knowledgeable? Yes. I would have given them 5 stars until I saw the sign. I am old school and very hard to please when things break and this is the first and only place I go for Apple service. (My first computer had ONE megabyte of RAM. And I was lucky! ) The Genius Bar at the Apple Store is great but they are always booked up. This place is easy for next day and sometimes same day appointments to come in and drop off a device. I am a professional photographer and video editor. The devices I have serviced here often present uncommon challenges. How these are handled is the true measure of great service with these things. I always get honest answers and expert analysis on the best options when gear is reaching the end of its life cycle. That's really hard to find these days. When you find people like this you stop rolling the dice. This is the only place I let service my gear. read more

I dont recommend this service, pay for a diagnostic $ 110 and it took 6 days to tell me what would be the result of this "diagnostic", something to know is that it was a damaged hard drive and that with the passage of the days the hard drive loses still More life ... absolutely discontent . They offered me to send it to California and that I would get at $ 1000 IF the information was recovered ... I recently had my 10 year old Apple iMac desktop upgraded and hard drive replaced in this Parsippany location store. I experienced EXCELLENT customer service from the 2 counter employees and the computer technician who thoroughly went over everything that I needed to know with my desktop after it was serviced.It's running like a brand new computer and the price was very reasonable compared to going out and buying a new Apple iMac desktop.Love this store because of the employees who went Above and beyond in making my experience there EXCELLENT. I will be referring my Family and friends to this store for all their Apple products needs and repairs. read more

Grade F. Skip this place! The Parsippany, NJ store is irresponsible and not responsive. I needed a power supply replacement for my new iMac 27 inch. I had booked an appointment a day in advance thru the Apple store site. Appointment was confirmed by e-mail. Store opens at 10 am. I arrived on time for my 10:20 appointment but nobody was there. Doors locked. I called the store number but it rang and rang, no answer. No voicemail. I knocked on the door and waited 15 mins. Nothing. I went through a main phone tree for appointments and left a message. I have not been contacted by anyone. I am going somewhere else. NEVER AGAIN! I went to iStore in Parsippany, NJ, for battery replacement on a MacBook Pro. Easy access to the store and quick response from the service team there. Battery was replaced within three hours and I was on my way. Only one star because they very clearly quoted a price ($150) for battery/installation and then tried to collect an additional $125 for the installation. Service rep backed off when I made it clear that I would not pay the additional charge. I don't like cheats Next time I'll definitely wait for an appointment at the Apple Store. read more

During the COVID-19 pandemic, of all things, my MacBook Pro display stopped working & normally I would have gone to the Apple store but they are all closed. This store came to my rescue! They are an authorized Apple reseller & services Apple products. They charge a diagnostic fee up front & if you decide to have them repair it, then you get the $ back. As my issue was covered under Apple warranty, I only paid for the diagnostic fee $117 & then Apple covered the rest. I will say that the fee used to be $90 plus tax but now it's $110 plus tax which I suspect they raised the fee due to the virus which is something I was not thrilled about - hence the reason my review is not 5 stars. The work was completed quickly - I brought it in Monday evening & by Wednesday afternoon it was ready. Their hours are limited - they are not open weekends & close by 4 which makes it difficult for working people to get there to get repairs done. Reason for my visit: Macbook retina 2017 keyboard malfunction Time for repair: dropped it off on a Friday and the device was ready for pick-up on a Wednesday Note: When I first dropped off my laptop, I was charged with a $117 diagnostic fee despite my laptop being under warranty for a full keyboard replacement. At the time, they said that it might be refunded at the time of pick-up depending on what the Apple policy says. This store is quiet and empty for a reason. They charge a $117 "diagnostic fee" before they will even take your computer. This is the case for any computer that is off warranty, even if Apple has taken responsibility for the repair and already made a diagnosis. This fee is not charged by any of my local Apple Stores. A representative from Apple even got on the phone with management to reason with them and they refused waive the fee. Save yourself time, money and frustration and either call Apple directly with your issue (800 My Apple) or make an appointment with the real Apple Store. read more

So easy, I made an appointment to get my shattered phone screen fixed through apple. Brought it in and it was fixed in about 4-5 hours. The screen is flawless now. The only Issue was we called to see how much longer the phone had and no one picked up. We called about 6x. But eventually the guy called us and told us it was done. The service was fast and they didn't have to ship it out and didn't have to wipe my phone. I would highly recommend and if you have apple care they are an authorized to fix your phone through apple care as well!! read more

Avoid this place like the plague. I brought in my MacBook Pro to replace the infamous butterfly keyboard, which is a known issue and Apple replaces free of charge. A simple touch of the keyboard would confirm that the keys are not working. However, iStore insisted on running a $100 non-refundable diagnostic test. Took my Mac to another authorized repair center, and they're repairing it (as covered by Apple) free of charge. Will never use these folks again, and hope to save you the agony of discovering their wicked ways in person. You've been warned! read more

STAY AWAY. JUST GO TO APPLE. Let me start by saying they charged me a $120 diagnostic fee just to look at my mac (which any Apple Store does not). I scheduled a "free repair" for my 2018 Macbook Pro which has had on and off issues with my butterfly keyboard. I asked the service rep who was there "if I pay this $120 fee, will my butterfly keyboard be replaced for sure?" I was iffy about paying this as I would've just taken it somewhere else with less of a fee, but I was assured by the rep that it would be changed. Well, 3 DAYS pass and I get a call stating they found no issues and that they have just "cleaned" my keyboard. Nice... 3 days & $120 later for a clorox wipe to go over my keyboard. Terrible service and they are super dishonest. They "cleaned" my Mac yet I received it back with more fingerprints on the screen than there were on my phone itself. I had 2 terrible experiences. I ended up fixing the problem myself. Guy at desk said I needed to wait two hours in an Apple store / that the phone had water damage. My phone never got wet and I googled how to fix the screen and did it myself. He was rude and condescending. I won't go back. read more

It cost $117 to diagnose my computer, a charge the Apple store never does. Then I was told my computer needed over 1k in fixes despite it being a relatively new computer. I said at this point I'd like to buy a new laptop, but they said they had none of the one I wanted and would require 2-4 weeks to acquire it. I'm a PhD student all virtual due to the pandemic and explained that is too much time to be without a computer as it had already taken them 1.5 weeks just to diagnose it. The worst part is the $117 only applies if you buy from them, so I had to go to the Apple store to buy a new computer and that $117 never applied to my new purchase. The staff is also very young and one girl asked for my computer password out loud in a room full of people and forgot to call me when my computer had been done being diagnosed. I had to call them a week later to check up only to find out it was done. I know it's a pandemic but as a poor virtual student, this was a huge pain, and I'll only ever go to an Apple store again. read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE RIP OFF! If I could rate this a 0 I would. I brought my mac book in to be looked at because it wasn't working properly and they charged me $117 just to look at it and they said this money would go to the cost to repair. Everything was very sketchy - they told me they would send me an email and never did, instead they called me multiple times. The first call they told me I would have to pay an additional $700 something dollars and I told them I would get back to them. They called again the next day with a lower price (sketchy). They told me the cost to fix it would be a total of $611 so I would only have to pay an additional $494. Then I come to find out that apple only would have charged me a flat $494 for the same issue. Therefore this iStore scammed me out of $117. It's ridiculous. So I went to pick up my laptop which took a lot longer than it should have and I got no money back. DO NOT GO HERE read more
