We had a catastrophic event involving our home computer when we found it had been hacked recently. We were given the name of Mr. Joseph Silva who owns and operates a computer repair business located at 307 Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. in Harrison, NJ 07029. We called Joe first and explained exactly what happened. He immediately told us what to do regarding passwords and other critical information. Being anxious to find out what we needed to do with the computer itself, Joe told us to bring it in to the store right away. He diagnosed the problem soon after our arrival and came up with a detailed solution of what needed to be done specifically to the computer itself. We confidently agreed and Joe provided an estimate for the cost and a timeline when it would be finished. I'm happy to say, Joe was simply outstanding. Couldn't have been nicer. The computer was repaired, on time with instructions on how to use it in the future. He went above and beyond what was initially discussed. The computer came back looking better than new, cleaned and organized. When I got home, we had trouble connecting to the internet. I called Joe right away and he spent another hour talking me through all the steps successfully connecting to the internet. This young man has patience, is polite, caring and completely who will go above & beyond to help you out. He also has a very nice store unlike all the computer repair type stores. I've had terrible experiences at various computer/phone places, particularly branches of that giant chain whose name starts with a "V." All they want to do is sell a new product, and information on how to solve a problem has been erroneous, or given grudgingly. My experiences at the Repair Square have been the opposite: productive, pleasant, efficient, and economical. Mr. Silva replaced a phone battery for considerably less money than Wirecutter (the consumer blog in the NY Times) estimated it would cost. (When I went to Verizon, I was told I needed a new phone.) He got my tablet going twice when I couldn't get it to function. He patiently answers my questions without making me feel stupid, which I've found to be a rare virtue among IT specialists. His store has a pleasant waiting area, but it's located across the street from a supermarket and a mini-mall that has a drug store, several restaurants (and parking) so you can find plenty to do if Joe is able to resolve your problem while you wait. Great Place! Honest, caring and so knowledgeable! Would not trust anyone else with any of my electronics. Joe goes above and beyond servicing his customers. Switching over from an Android phone to and Iphone, I know NOTHING about an iphone. and hated it!! The att store really just did the minimal set up so I went back to Joe for help and he took his time, so much of his time to set up my entire iphone! I'm not one to really spend time to write reviews, but I walked into the Repair Square with a phone that was stuck on the Apple logo. The business owner was able to change my screen and resolve my issue within 40 mins at a reasonable price. I left the store happy, but unfortunately the issue happened again a week later, I went back to the store. The business owner solved my problem with no hassles. My daughter's iPhone back was all cracked and we decided to come to this local shop. The place is quite nice and Joe is a very knowledgeable guy. One helpful detail is the ability to get an instant email quote via their website so you already know how much you're gonna pay for the repair.
