Roy has helped me several times. He knows his stuff, he's local and fair priced. Usually works fast as well.

We have visited this store many times. Roy fixed our Samsung Galaxy s10 within moments. He was professional, polite and personable. This is thepla e to go to get that precious cell phone fixed. He's as smart as they come. Excellent customer service! read more

oy at banana cellar sold $300 from me. I paid him to fix my iPad and when it kept breaking killing batteries he told me in text messages that it is time to buy a new iPad and would not give me any of my money back with in his 90 day warranty. Keep alway from this store in Nutley. What kind of person steal from a guy with autism besides Roy? read more

Banana Cellular Solutions - An iPad with a battery that can not be charged anymore do to Roy breaking my iPad. - Mobile Phone Repair Near Me - Nutley, New Jersey

Brought my daughter's iPad in which had a cracked screen. Roy was very polite and explained to me what he could do and the price for the service. He was very detailed and advised me it would take approximately 1 1/2 hours. A short while later, I received a call that it was ready for pickup. The work was well done and quick. Would definitely recommend this business. read more

I took my iPhone 14 Pro Max here to get the back glass repaired before the holidays. I got it back and there was a clear line of glue on the back of the screen. I called and the guy told me to come in. He acted confused and that it wasn't a big deal that there was glue but 1 it's visible- see pictures and 2 the phone stinks like metal. Mind you, I've had this phone for 3 years now and have never had a problem with the back up until it fell out of my pocket with no case when playing fetch with my dog. This phone has withstood many falls with no case and hasn't broken aside from that one time. Furthermore, he had to keep it for 1.5 hours to repair. I couldn't do that at the time because I needed my phone for work so I left. The NEXT DAY the back glass shatters with a case on. The holidays pass and I come in and ask him to look up my profile to when I came in because the phone still stinks and the glass on the back has cracked now. He cannot find any details on me probably because I paid cash. Anyway, wanted me to pay in full again $20 off big whoop. Just overall terrible customer service and service in general! Not how you run a business. Go somewhere in Montclair, I've never had a problem there. read more

Excellent service. Got the job done same day and looks like nothing ever happened. Thank you!

My baby son somehow managed to shatter the back of my wife's iPhone 13 Pro. Called around and tried a few places, Roy was the only one that had the machine to do the back glass, and the price was super reasonable. He also didn't mind my request to hang out and watch, and was great to chat with while waiting. This review is long overdue (sorry!), he helped us out back in April. But at least I can attest that months later the phone's still working great! read more

I call at 1pm. Say I'll be there by 3pm. Get there at 2:45pm. Telling me to come back at 4pm. I don't have that kinda time to waist driving 20 minutes for nothing. Glad you called back to say you can't keep the appointment but why not leave the message. Wasted time & gas. This is why some don't like small businesses. read more

wow - roy put in a new iphone battery for me in like 5-10 minutes - it was remarkable as I've done it using youtubes in the past which have taken me like 10x as long and cost me the same I'm def going here for any phone repair/battery replacements read more

My cell phone hit the floor today and completely smashed the screen - little pieces of glass everywhere!! I went to Banana Cellular Solutions and was out in 1/2 hour. Roy was a real professional and worked so quickly. I was so very impressed. If you ever need a repair, this is the place to go!! Thanks, Roy! Price was right too! read more

Very sketchy looking place. Needed an iphone screen repair. Screen replacement was subpar, not equivalent to the Apple original. The very next day appeared a $50 fraudulent charge on my credit card from a computer related company in FL. Can't say for sure, but have good reason for suspicion since I hadn't used that credit card for at least a month prior. read more

great customer service and very fast repair time. First screen that was installed was defective but they replaced the screen without any problem and it works great. Definitely quicker cheaper and way less stressful than going to apple. read more

Such great service !! Walked in and they repaired my iPhone 7 Plus phone screen within 20 minutes !! Felt like a brand new phone . Thank you again !! read more

From the moment you step into the store you could just feel your worries about your poor broken/cracked device melt away. The relaxing house music from the speakers, the TV screen showing videos of different gorgeous beaches, and the general chill vibe of this small but cool place are cleverly used to tell you: RELAX. We'll take care of your problem. And fix it they did- in 20something minutes. The guy behind the counter was very helpful with my questions about the different phone protectors, without ever being pushy. Very professional and competent. They also give you a 90-day guarantee on your new screen. I hope I won't need their help again, but I sure will tell everyone about this place! read more

EXCELLENT, excellent, excellent- ALL the way around. My screen was cracked BAD. Glass was falling off and the board underneath was exposed. Called Banana Cellular and spoke with Roy who told me to check to see if I could get any kind of signal that it would turn on ( I did it connected to my Bluetooth in the car). When I went it I was greeted by Roy who was extremely friendly and professional. He was able to fix my phone super fast and had it looking like new and fully functioning. They also include a 90 day warranty. I was so relieved and impressed. I paid $64 which included tax. Staples wanted to charge $130 and send it out for repair (3-5 days). So happy I found Banana Cellular read more

Do not take your Apple devices here! I recently had my IPhone and iPad's screens replaced here. After the repairs were done, my iPhone won't boot up and my iPad constantly times out. Even when I'm watching Netflix. The owner told me it was an existing software issue. He won't take responsibility for his mistakes! Do not take your apple devices here. I recently had an iPhone and an iPad fixed here. They both had cracked screens. He completely ruined my iPhone, I can't even get it to boot up now and I had to buy a new one. My iPad has a problem now where it constantly times out. The owner tried to blame it on existing conditions, but trust me, the only problems they had were cracked screens. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and have your apple devices fixed at the apple store! The owner replied back and said this is a software issue. This is his BS excuse for breaking my devices. If my phone would not boot up in the first place, then why would I bother to have the screen fixed? My phone and iPad were working absolutely perfectly before he repaired my screens! This guy has no business touching Apple products. He will not admit his mistakes. Horrible way to run a business! read more

I had a cracked screen on an iPhone 6. Roy changed it within 10 minutes and left it in great condition even though the frame was a bit dented. The prices are very good. I highly recommend it. read more

Okay...Business can't pay to alter reviews but they WILL call you months later while you're at work begging for you to change your initial review!!! This guy JUST calls me telling me that "I'm a young brother and how can you do this to me?" First of all, don't start throwing the "same race-race card around with me" and then say "I have (other) people that come to me all the time and they don't do this to me". Listen, any reviews I leave I leave from my personal experiences and this is another from this Banana Cellular UNsutions that gets a NEGATIVE NOD!!! If I were anyone reading this truthful review I'D BE VERY CAREFUL TO CHOOSE ANOTHER COMPANY TO CARE FOR MY PRODUCT! SO AGAIN, DO NOT CALL ME ANYMORE TO BEG FOR ME TO CHANGE A REVIEW!! I'm almost certain that this is not what Yelp strives for or supports. Do the proper work, BE ON TIME, and don't throw RACE into your begging pitch and if your work is good it will speak volumes...STOP CALLING ME!!! read more

My daughter broke her screen on her tablet, LCD was fine and it worked fine, just a badly cracked screen. I took it here knowing that I had another quote for $65 in another town, but local place, Chamber Members, I figured I would give them a shot. It was very difficult to get a c committed quote. He kept telling me between $75 and $130 depending how it is assembled...Fine. After leaving it with them to " check " what the cost would be I received a call and was told that it would be $75. The holidays delayed delivery of the new screen and I followed up after a week and then I called again on the 10th day when I was told " I was going to call you today ". Now the screen was replaced but the lcd is damaged and isn't working, Its is now going to cost $150 total to fix it. I still haven't picked it up. I took a woking tablet in for a screen repair and they broke it. I should have followed my instincts when I didn't trust how cryptic he was about giving a quote. Quite aggravating. read more
