I came in to get my phone checked out as the camera needed to be replaced on my phone as it was badly damaged. After reading some of the more critical reviews I see some truths in them with my brief experience here. When I entered the shop the staff/technician was very slow to respond and didn't even stand to acknowledge me. I don't know if he was tired from partying too hard the night before but it didn't set a good tone for the duration of my potential business. I asked a number of questions about the service and the staff/technician appeared exasperated, bothered and perhaps not equipped to answer the questions. He spoke to his supervisor via phone who gave more info on the potential job but perhaps that should've been his first move. By this point I wasn't very confident. He asked for a large deposit up front, so they could order the part then return in two days with my phone. I can understand the deposit part but why so much? I ended up, going somewhere else for the job which was the opposite of this experience in every way so im a bit surprised by the praise but since I chose not to go here for the job and can't grade the work I'll say a 3* for the info I was given and fast inital response. read more

I was referred to Faraj Enterprise in Montclair by the Allstate On-Line insurance system who said to get my iPhone repaired there as they do great work. I brought in a dying iPhone 6s + that I did not want to give up. Everyone says that it the 6s+ was one of Apple's best versions of an iPhone so I did not want to lose it. It needed a new battery and a camera. Price quote was very reasonable and I gave them the go ahead and it was repaired and back to me 24 hours later in great shape. I broke the screen to my new ipad. Brought it to Faraj. He ordered the glass and then taped the screen so i could use it while i waited for the part to come. This was helpful as i actually cut my hand on the screen earlier that day. In about a week glass came in. I brought it in a about an hour before closing. My boyfriend accidentally cracked screen on iphone and called apple store and they couldn't guarantee same day fixing. Faraj was able to repair at about the same price as apple said but in 20 minutes. It's also located around a lot of other stores so there are places to walk around to while waiting (you aren't really able to wait here, it's a very small area). Unlike one of the replies to the comment below, they still said cash only, which is a little annoying to need that much cash around. Owner did not wear face mask the entire time I was in the store and handled my phone without using gloves or disinfectant. Poor repair quality that broke after using for a few hours. The store tried to charge me again to fix their defective repair, does not guarantee their work/products or care about local customers. The defective iPhone screen would not register touch/sensitivity, and the repair screen popped out of the phone. The screen cracked in numerous places. The iPhone had a protective screen cover and case on it when this occurred. This business is selling damaged and defective products. read more

QUICK service. EXCELLENT attention to detail. GREAT customer service and treatment! came in to repair my iphone 6 cracked screen. found these guys on yelp with amazing reviews so decided to give them a try. PROTIP: if you check in on yelp you get 5% off, so my total was approximately $82 to fix my cracked screen. PROTIP: they said if theres ever any issue after replacement, you can come right back and they'll be more than happy to fix it for you. they are what everyone says they are! quick, fast, efficient. A nice lady (will insert name later) helped me out with mine and while it did take longer than the 15 minutes quoted on yelp and in person, it was fine because she took approximately 30 minutes to figure it out. (my home button was water damaged so it took longer to get it out and move it over to the new screen). I left happily within 30 min, walked across the street to get some tacos, started taking some IG pics, and then realized that my phone screen would flicker when i turned it on/off, and also part of the left side coloring was dark and faded black. So i promptly walked back and asked them to take a look at it. without hesitation, Amed (who's fingers are the quickest and nimblest fingers i've ever seen!) quickly transferred my broken screen into a new screen. VOILA! i now had a brand new screen with no deformities. the only thing i will say, and thats only because i am weird and picky like this, i feel like the coloring is a bit off from the original apple screen. I did some research and yes because its not "Certified Apple yada yada yada" the colors aren't as crisp or bright as it might originally have been. BUT to the normal naked eye, it doesn't really make a difference. and to my naked eye, its not that big of a difference. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you broke your screen! they do more things too, but when i was there, i saw 3 customers in and out with shattered screens and hearts, wait, and walk out with a brand new screen and heart unbroken! read more

I called over the weekend about getting the battery replaced on my phone. I was told I needed to bring the phone in. I came in on Monday and was told that the person who needs to look at my phone is only available Wednesday through the rest of the week. I just came back on Thursday and found out that the person doesn't actually come in until 2:00 p.m. even though the shop opens at 11:00. Walked in, showed them my baby needed some TLC, filled out a form while they tested my phone and expected to hear "please come back in 1 hour or a day Mr. Fred" WRONG!!! Faraj and staff said my phone would be ready in 20 minutes. I was jumping for joy inside like a fat kid loves cake. They also hooked me up with tempered glass screen and allowed me to use my 5% off Yelp checkin deal! Gotta love this place. In fact i loved it so much that I brought in an iPad mini to get repaired. This place is awesome. Service goes a long way, and they were so friendly and sweet. My mother's iphone shattered and they fixed the screen here. Its $90 but they apply 5% off with a yelp check in. We also got her a case, a screen, and i also got a screen, and they gave us a nice little deal for all of it together. They even gave us a free sticker button to go on our phones. Its those little things that count. I would highly recommend coming here. Parkings a bit tricky with meters, but if you drive around you will find a spot. I WOULD NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS TO FIX IPHONES 5s i had an 5s that had cracked internally went to them to get it fixed and it came out great the lady that works at the shop did inform me that she "didn't know how to fix the screens all the way but her brother (the owner) would help her" and that was fine ... the brother which is the owner came in and "shaved" down the sides of the phone so the screens they had could fit 2 weeks later phone screen cracked which is rare for me i've had an iphone since they came out never cracked my phone with a case on it, i went back to go get it fixed i had to wait an hour for him to show up, so they are not always true to store hours make sure you call first! he fixed it for me in record time, i was happy screen didn't feel so secure but i just figured they probably shaved down the sides again, but the next week THE PHONE SCREEN CRACKED YES THIS WAS MY 3rd time coming back to the shop and they said it was my fault because i dropped it to many times and that I needed a case, I told them I had bought a case form ATT and a screen protector, then he said "maybe you just have bad luck" lol no you think! I honestly think its whatever company they buy the screens from, so the young guy that works at the shop came in and tried to fix it and the whole screen went blue ... dead.... non responsive and he told me its my phone not the screen, I was a little shocked because Ive never had an issue with my phone it was never slow and had 0 glitches. UPDATE! This place is still seriously awesome. Jimmy (the owner) and the staff have to be one of the kindest and calm people. They helped me out through a whole phone ordeal (broke my phone AGAIN smh). They really try to help you and troubleshoot your phone issues and in my case my (iPhone6) phone was not repairable so I had to go to the Apple store and purchase a new one. During that time I was so worried because I use my phone a lot (come on, how was I going to check in on Yelp?) but they were calm about everything and fixed my (iPhone 5) old phone I had at home and had me use that one until I got a new one. Basically the point of my story is that these are really nice and caring people! Also: I've read some reviews below complaining about their "cash only" policy (the last time I went they accepted credit/debit cards) but honestly these guys are so nice - I might have mentioned this in my first review but I'll tell it again - I didn't bring cash with me the first time and they told me it was fine - they'll fix my phone and I could just come back another day with the money. read more
