Last week I went to the Genius Bar, at the short hills Apple store and while i do acknowledge that they are very knowledgable - they were unable to repair my Macbook Pro, saying that it was "too old". Having called upon Charlie in the past, I drove straight there and left the laptop with them for a "diagnostic workup". The advantage of using Best Bet is that they deal with BOTH windows AND apple operating systems (in my household we have several PC's and several Macs) and, for me anyway, its VERY REASSURING that my tech guy is intimately familiar with both! Surprisingly, they were able to repair my laptop (that Apple said couldnt be repaired) for $100...I was GREATLY RELIEVED Ive had them come to my house for Desktop computer help and I've also driven there myself for laptop help I find it comforting dealing with a small'ish operation (where they actually know who I am when i walk in or call) as opposed to a huge corporation where I have to first "make an appointment to speak with them", and if i'm "lucky" they'll give me an appointment in 4 or 5 days. With Best Bet my families needs have always been tended to very quickly.

That's called Bribery. Something is wrong with that. I had made an appointment to get my phone fixed. It might have been a battery problem. They honored my appointment on time. Was I satisfied with their service? Yes. Was I satisfied with their communication? Yes. Did they fix the issue with my phone? Yes. Were they polite, professional, and knowledgeable? Yes. I would have given them 5 stars until I saw the sign. I found their prices to be reasonable and there was plenty of parking in the strip mall parking lot.

I am a professional photographer and video editor. The devices I have serviced here often present uncommon challenges. How these are handled is the true measure of great service with these things. I always get honest answers and expert analysis on the best options when gear is reaching the end of its life cycle. That's really hard to find these days. When you find people like this you stop rolling the dice. This is the only place I let service my gear.
