My how things have changed since 2011 when the last reviewers had posted. My experience with this company was the complete opposite of previous reviewers. I had brought my laptop in for repairs and was greeted by a young man that didn't seem very interested in helping me. He explained to me that my machine is too old and probably isn't worth the repair costs. While I appreciate his professional opinion I explained that I wasn't in the market for a new laptop and would like to have my current one repaired. This seemed earth-shattering to this young man as he couldn't seem to understand why I would want to repair my 3 year old laptop. Fast forward 10 minutes of me explaining why I want this laptop repaired, now I have to fill out this paperwork that seemed endless. There is a lengthy contract that they have you sign, but when I asked the technician what is said in the contract he again returned to this magical clueless state, picture deer in headlights. At this point, I am really reconsidering if I should leave my machine here or not, but I was in a rush and figured I was here already, why not leave it. I was told that my machine should be ready in 2-3 days which is perfectly acceptable if that was the timeframe I actually got my machine back. I was also told the technician would call me and keep my updated on my progress, that never happened. After 4 days, I decided to give them a call to find out some information about my machine. Phone tag ensues. On the 5th day I call and actually speak to the technician, he informs me that my machine is infected and a clean up has been started (but wait, wasn't I supposed to get a call before any work was done on the machine?) and it should be ready the next day, the next day is Saturday and they are not open. The following Monday afternoon I get t a call that the machine is ready to be picked up. When I picked up the machine I asked the technician what was wrong with the machine and what was done to rectify the problem...wide eyes again he looks at me for a few seconds, "let me check the ticket". I said its no problem, thanked him and went on my way. When I got home I was excited to set up the laptop and get some personal work done that I had been neglecting while my computer was being repaired. When I turned it on for the first time it was like nothing had been done to the machine. Still very slow, and unresponsive at times. To say I was angry is an understatement. Completely fed up I took the machine to best buy and had the geek squad look at my machine. Two days later my machine was returned and working like it was new out of the box. I wish I could agree with other reviewers but thats impossible. If you want your machine repaired properly avoid this place and see the geek squad. PS. The only reason I am writing a review on yelp is because the technician actually asked me to review them. read more

Peggnet provides professional, personalized service and attention, even in emergency situations. Once, when we leaving on a vacation and wanted our laptop to be fixed asap because we wanted to be in contact with a sick relative while away from our home, a Peggnet staff member--on his own initiative--stayed up all night to clear our computer of a virulent virus. His efforts allowed us to go on our vacation and have peace of mind that we could monitor what was happening at home. I like to "buy local" from a trusted source. I used Peggnet computers for several years for my home PCs. I purchased new equipment and software from them more than once. Before they placed any order for hardware or software, they asked about my usage on my home PCs and tailored the hardware and software accordingly so I wouldn't have stuff and toys I don't want, need or use. Their responsiveness and service was and is professional, personal, and wonderful. And talk about customer service after the fact - when I had questions several months after the hardware and software upgrades (Windows 10), they either came back to the house to fix and explain, or helped me via phone. I highly recommend them to friends and neighbors as being knowledgeable and friendly technicians who not only know computer-speak, but also speak English to those of us who are not as tech-savvy. :-) read more

Chris McManus and his team are a wonderful part of this community. They are extremely personable, knowledgeable about fixing computers and fair. More than one occasion I went into the shop thinking I needed a repair that was going to be hundreds of dollars and it only cost a few bucks and was quickly fixed. Another time I went in with an iPad because it went dark and all it needed was to be charged for a long period of time. They charged me nothing for that. That was after I went into the Apple store and they told me it couldn't be fixed and tried to get me to buy another $500 iPad. If you have a computer issue, don't waste time fixing it on your own. Chris and the gang are so good and fairly priced they make it a no brainer. read more

I have used Peggnet in the past for video to DVD transfer. Always did a great job. This time I needed my computer fixed because we could not access our windows programs. We've tried the tricks posted online using my iPad but nothing helped. Not being computer savvy myself I knew I needed a professional.
