The sandwich was honestly the highlight of the meal. It was delicious, and the pizza dough as the bread was such a unique touch that you really don't find at many Italian sandwich spots around Columbus. The pizza itself was just okay. As you can see from the picture, the toppings weren't distributed very evenly, so some slices had mostly sauce with barely any cheese while others had way more toppings and cheese but less sauce. I also wish the pizza had been cooked a little longer overall because it was pretty floppy and doughy. One thing that makes it tough is that once the movie starts, it's hard to go back and ask for changes or anything since the theater is packed and getting in and out of the seats feels disruptive. We'll definitely be back to Grandview Theater because we love the experience overall, but next time I'll probably stick to the sandwiches and popcorn and skip the pizza.

I called ahead and ordered the 'Works' which is their take on a supreme pizza -- pepperoni, sausage, onions, green peppers and mushrooms. Grandad's shares a building with Byrne's pub and they both share a parking lot. The inside isn't much -- an ordering counter, a couple of drink coolers, and a bench to sit at if you are waiting for take out. My pizza was ready before the quoted 15 minutes. I'm a huge fan of the thin crust, however found the pizza was fairly average. Not bad, but not great. Honestly, exactly what I was expecting. The crust had a nice crunch, but I felt it could have been kept in the oven a bit longer to make the toppings more crisp. That said, I would definitely order it again.
