Wanted to try what was suppose to be the best pizza in Bexley (as I've been told) but was disappointed when I found them closed at 9pm on a Friday night. So I searched and found Joe's Pizza. Ordered a large pepperoni and sausage with an Italian sub. Pizza was delicious and the amount of cheese, sauce, and toppings were plentiful. Crust was a little different for me but good. My kids described it like tasting pretzel dough. The sun was delicious. Plenty of meat. I probably should has asked for more banana peppers. Nice people here. Note: This review is strictly about the service. On 8/1/24 at around 11:19a I submitted an order via the Joe's Pizza ordering system. Their site notes they open at 10:30am on Thursdays which was the day of the week I was ordering. I received a confirmation email at 11:21a noting that my order would be ready within 24-34 minutes and that I could track my order. I went to the store to pick up and found that there was a handwritten sign on the door that said 'closed for repairs' and all the lights were off and no one was on site. I called the number to the store and got a voicemail but was unable to leave a message. Later that day I reached out to Joe's Pizza to try to get a refund via their help link. So I emailed them the details of what happened and waited for their response. On Friday 8/2/24 at 9:04p I received a response noting that 'unfortunately, we are not currently able to provide a refund for this order. We understand your frustration and will work to improve so we can provide a better experience for you next time.' And that was as much response as I got. Luckily I as able to reach out to my bank and dispute the transaction but what kind of customer service is this?! Stuff happens and that's fine but why not shut off the o line ordering system and why not make it easy for any orders that were charged for a product that was not received to be cancelled or refunded once the business found this had happened. This is shady. I won't be recommending this business. I hope they do better. read more

Covid protocols were only partly followed. There is signage posted in door and hand sanitizer immediately inside. However there were 5 working: one had mask under nose, one had mask under nose and only partly covering mouth, and one wore a very thin (and virtually useless) knit covering. The pizza was okay. Let me start by saying that this pizza is pretty good. I liked it a lot. I'm sure you are asking yourself why not a five-star review, Mikey? Well, the reason is that I base my reviews, as do most of you, off of my overall experience. I did not have a good experience when I got there. I will give them another try in hopes of changing my review but until then, here goes. So I decided to check this place out because I love pizza, and I am trying to go to all the right spots here in central Ohio; this is on my list of places I've never been so this was a perfect opportunity for me to try it out for family pizza night. I arrived at the establishment an hour and fifteen minutes before closing; this is outside the window of time where the employees get upset with you for making them work close to closing time. Inside there are only two people, both of which had already placed their orders. Great, this meant that I shouldn't have to wait a long time to get my pizza; boy, was I ever wrong. I waited for 25 minutes before the lady who was taking orders got to me. She asked how she could help me. I told her I wanted to place an order to go. This woman threw her head back, rolled her eyes, and the lady making the pizzas to take my order. The pizza making lady tilts her head to the side and asks real low in volume for my order. After completing my request known, she mosied along to the back to make it. I return to my car for the promised 15-minute wait. While sitting in my vehicle, I observed them flipping the sign to closed, but it was 35 minutes before closing; these people wanted to go home early and seemed disgruntled about getting business during a pandemic. Time passed, and I ascended from my vehicle to acquire my pizza. There's a guy in there waiting to pick his order up; the order lady informed him their credit card machine broke and that he was to pay in cash. They were not going to give him his pizza until he settled in money! The man dug around in his pockets and finally came up with the cash to get the pizza. I was going to pay with a card and went back to the car to find some money because most places close around this time. After getting my pizza, I checked it out, and it looked good. I got it home, and before the family came downstairs, I had taken the first bite of that wonderful Ohio cut corner piece. It was delicious. The sausage had the right spice and seasoning levels. The cheese and sauce were savory the way I like it, and the crust was crispy the way it should be. I was mad because the pizza was so good, but the service was horrible. read more

The place was nothing special to look at but I was there for pizza so who cares about aesthetics. The 1 female employee took my order for a large, extra cheese, pepperoni, sausage, mushroom & onion pizza. She was great (kind & friendly). I mentioned how odd I found it, being from the east coast, that Ohioans cut round pizza in squares & not like a pie unless you request it. I requested it. I left & came back 20 min. later. The employee apologized when I returned & said it wasn't quite ready because she forgot & cut the pizza in squares so she was baking me a new one! Lol! I told her she didn't need to do that & I would've taken the square cut. I thanked her though because she went to the trouble to make it right per my request. At checkout, I noticed the "large" was smaller than what I'm used to in MA & NY. Having driven almost an hour, I decided to purchase the "accidental" square cut pie too because we like leftovers & 1 pie wouldn't have afforded us that luxury. Visually, the pizzas looked great. My toppings were very similar to what we are used to. The taste of the cheese & toppings were decent. Unfortunately, the dough & crust left little too be desired. It reminded me of Ellios frozen pizza you buy in the grocery store. Not fresh, just flat & flavorless with (almost) non-existent crust. Thin crust doesn't mean it's NY style pizza. For us, it's average. Definitely NOT the worst we've had but I pray it's not "the best pizza in Columbus". We will continue our hunt, in Ohio, for a NY style pizza that will satisfy our spoiled pallets. read more

I pick up a pizza from Joe's a couple times a month on average. The spot itself is no frills, but the pizza is consistently great. The sausage here is really good too, though I usually get mushroom and pepperoni here since the crust in the middle can get a lil messy when you add sausage to that combo. Just moved to the Bexley area from Florida. Have ate at rubinos, hound dogs, harvest and Donato's. By far this has been the best pizza yet and that's not a knock on rubinos (Joe's just has more cheese). The older gentleman working the oven was busting his ass, slinging the dough. We ordered the pepperoni pizza well done and crispy and it came out perfect. The pepperonis were curling up, to pool a little grease. Generous on the cheese, with a good flavor. I plan on giving this place another chance, but for now, it's just sort of okay for me. There's a ton of mom and pop pizza joints surrounding my work, so that means there's plenty of places to grab an Italian sub. My search for the best sandwiches around here brought me to Joe's Pizza, which I hadn't even noticed was there even though I've passed it several times. It's in a small strip mall on Broad that's really hard to see from the street. I called ahead to place a take out order, since it didn't look like there's anywhere to sit in the place (there's two small tables but not really for eating), and it was only going to take about 10 minutes. I had ordered extra meat and cheese, and it was only going to cost me about $7.25. First issue when I get there is the girl at the front forgot she was baking my sub. Whoops, does it smell like burning in here? Oh well, they threw together another one for me that only took about 5 minutes to make and didn't charge me for the extra meat and cheese. I appreciate that. I think my biggest mistake was getting extra meat, because it was almost too much. I wasn't sure how big the sandwich would be, but I should have known, since they use Auddino's bread. Points for quality bread. Unfortunately, there wasn't much flavor in the dressing to break up the massive amount of meat I had on there. Also, in the 5 minutes it took me to get back to work, the dressing had managed to cut through the bread, making it super soggy. As I said, I'm going to give them another chance, since maybe I just put too much meat on the thing. In a pinch, this is a quick place to get a sandwich that's better than your chain joints, but it's not my first pick. I hear the pizza's pretty good too, so I'll have to give that a shot some time. read more

So I got to try Joe's Pizza last weekend because I was in an 8 hour class so one of the instructor's got us this for lunch. For pizza it was alright. Although I do have to admit I felt so bad for the other instructor who was a gluten-free/dairy free person. She was so hungry and this is all they had so she had to take off all the cheese and just eat the toppings. I do feel her pain though because I once was a gluten free person and it was very hard to find food like this before it became so popular. I do wish the crust was not thin crust because I grew up loving thick crust pizza. I just feel the thin crust makes it more messy. Although if this is all you have an option of eating when you are in an 8 hour class you can't complain. I think this was a pretty darn good pizza, but it's just not up there with Bexley Pizza Plus. It's hard to grade, because the pizzas are very different. I'd eat here again if the hubby wanted to have it, but I prefer BPP. We got a sausage mushroom and pepperoni pizza. Good amounts of all meats (Really??? How can you have TOO MUCH pepperoni?
