I have been ordering from Possum Holler since early 2000. Our entire family on both sides are customers as well. Called last night (7/12/25) around 10pm to place an order. Waited on hold for over 20 minutes, got hung up on. Called back and it kept going to voicemail. Very disappointing, it didn't used to be like this. Some of the worst pizza ive had in awhile. I was intrigued to try this pizza do to all the pictures i was seeing online of the pizza shop and how great it looked ! But due to my experience probably will not try again . I got a large regular pepperoni pizza and a personal cheese . When you bite into the pizza its like you are eating cardboard. One of my lunch time favorites while at work... Partying with the Possum! Had them plenty of times but this is my first review of them. I normally order the "Possum Combo" but a friend and I decided to split "The Meats", Pepperoni, Ham, Sausage and Bacon on this visit. Pizza is good, nice crisp crust, right amount of sauce. What sets this pizza apart is the abundance of toppings! The "Possum Combo" and "Old World Pepperoni" also are packed with plenty of toppings. I myself of only had their pizza, but several co-workers have tried the Wings, Salads and bread from their menu and have all been pleased with those items. read more

The owner of PHP must know his pies are good. Otherwise he would not have named his shop after an ugly critter. And so you don't mistake the name, it's in big letters on top of the box. I don't know what animal would make pizza sound better; certainly no beautiful animals. Let's test it: Mink, cougar, panther, lion, gold fish, peacock, swan. Nope, not sure what those pies would taste like, but I would be more curious about a Possum-themed pie than, say, baboon or raccoon, whale or dolphin. Staying at the baymont hotel by the airport for a few days and decided to order out for dinner. The front desk recommended possum holler and their menu had a lot of different items so we decided to order from them. My boyfriend ordered a double cheeseburger and side salad. I ordered a gnocchi dinner and side salad. His burger was a mess when it arrived. The box had tilted on its side and the bun was a soggy mess. He said the burger was nothing special. My gnocchi had been left in the oven too long and was burnt on the bottom. The sauce was very sour and I couldn't even finish eating it. The salads were OK, nothing I would want to eat again... I doubt I'll be back in the area any time soon..... Definitely will not be eating here if I do. read more

On Tuesday this week I stopped here on my way home from Physical Therapy. I got a pepperroni and mushroom pizza. It was delicious. For me the sauce makes the pizza and I loved the sauce. It was also thick with a good tasty cheese and they did not skimp on the mushrooms or large pepperroni. The crust was not to thick and not too thin. It held the toppings well without letting them drip off. This palace has been on the Southeast side for over 30 years and this is my first time trying it and it will not be my last. I have never had a meal in this pizza shop, but never fail to get an order to go anytime I am in Columbus. Start at the crust, it is always flavored amazingly. It does not matter if you are going basic cheese or adding more toppings, you would be hard pressed to find a more filling pie in this part of the country. It is full on greasy goodness that pizza should be. This is the type of pizza that comes out of a hole in the wall that you wish that could become a worldwide phenom. I give this place a 1 star but honestly if I could I wouldn't give them any stars based on their customer service. I called and ordered and a extra large pizza and a ham and cheese sub without tomatoes for pick up and they told me it would be a half hour for my order, fine. So when I get their to pick up my order they then informed me that they didn't make my food at all. Being all apologetic they said that they would give me a $10 discount on my order and that my food would be ready in 10 minutes. So if I understand this correctly, when I placed my order on the phone they told me that my food would be ready in a half hour and now your going to magically make my food in 10 minutes time........ ummmm ok........ anyway giving them or the idiot who claimed to be the manager the benefit of the doubt I said "fine 10 minutes works for me" I ended up waiting an additional 25 minutes on top of the 30 minutes it took them to make my food and when mentioning that the food took longer then 10 minutes the manager claimed that they tried looking for me everywhere and couldn't find me for my order (I was the only car outside in the parking lot waiting for their order, really?) I said no this order should be free and that I had waited almost a whole hour for my food and explained how the service here was atrocious and she proceeded to tell me no. I told her and everyone else that this was horrible customer service and took my food and left. When I got home the pizza was good but they ended up putting tomatoes on my sub when I told them from the beginning no tomatoes. I don't care how good the food is they will not be getting my business anymore this will be the first and last time I go here for pizza ever!!!!! A friend posted it online and it looked great. So I went to try it, not easy to get to from interstate. The pictures I seen showed the small dime sized pepperoni ( Old World for pizza lovers). Told them it was my first time trying their pizza and got just pepperoni. When I got my pizza it had the bigger blan pepperoni. I am a sauce fan and the sauce was also blan. If I would give 0 stars I would. I ordered a M pizza, a 2 liter sprite and some wings. First the food did not arrive for 2 hours after I had ordered which SUCKED. I called at about half an hour wait because it was taking way too long than other pizza places. It took 10 calls until someone finally answered me. The pizza was surprisingly good here. I ordered the old world pepperoni and the crust had a nice crisp to it. They put a good amount of sauce and cheese on the pizza as well. We also ordered a salad and breadsticks. Both of those were just average so I would most likely not order those again. I'll be sweet and to the point. Place SUCKS! Crust is horrible. Its obvious they try to pile on the cheese and sauce to cover the horrible sauce. I get a house salad, and it comes in a Styrofoam cup....what a JOKE! Online prices different than quote over the phone. Serious, go to the local grocer and get a freezer pizza. Local favorite. Great people making great food. Fair Warning to all those that see the hot wings and think "eh, I'm sure they're just regular ole' buffalo wings." NOPE. They are absolutely, spicy as all get out. Me personally, I love them; however I wasn't everybody's favorite person at a party when they started biting into them and sweating to death, having not been warned. Probably not a safe bet for kids though. Aside from that fact, everything I have had on the menu has been fantastic. There are probably other qualities worth mentioning, but I'm not going to mention any of them just to put a point on the fact that this pizza has enough cheese to choke an obese Green Bay football fan. we have been coming to your place for the last 20 plus years, but the order we placed and received on Sat Jan 8, 2022, was the worst we have ever received the pizza was undercooked and soggy the meat ball sub was soggy and the meatballs had a very weird taste the Lasagna, was the most, sad excuse, it wasn't even an inch thick and so small. you used to have the best and thickest lasagna. and the steaks sub was mushy. i don't know if it was a bad night or what happened and hope this is just a 1 off, and not the way the food will be coming, in the future. plus the menu on your website needs to be updated. the price i figured, by using your website, was $10 more than what the pricing stated on the menu. read more
