I was racially Profiled and discriminated against at the new Hobby Lobby at 3479 Saint Rose Pkwy, Henderson , NV , 89052 on July 10, 2024 . I was in Hobby Lobby shopping and lost my phone , and only means of contact in the store. I went back as soon as I realized it was lost, but the store had just closed a few minutes earlier. The young Caucasion Manager at the store was hostile and rude and would not assist me in finding my phone by dialing my number, I am a 67 yr old African American Senior woman with serious medical issues, and was standing outside in over 100% heat for close to an hour pleading with her to dial my number but she refused and showed no Empathy or Humanity but instead threatened to call the Police to "remove " me from outside the store ( her exact words) if I did not leave , which she did. When the Police came , they were kind enough to dial my number, and a customer told them he found my phone in Hobby Lobby, and was waiting for someone to call , so that he could return the phone to the owner; this is something the Hobby Lobby Manager could have easily done; but unfortunately all she could "see "was the beautiful Melanin pigment of my skin, hopefully this sad experience will not happen to anyone else no matter what Race, Nationality or Creed ...Rascist Behavior should not be tolerated anywhere! Some examples of defective things I've returned: wooden yard stick (it was crooked lol, literally every single one on the shelf was crooked and wonky and they just ignored me when I pointed that out, even after I explained that this issue cost me $$ in yardage I had to toss because it was marked and cut crookedly), wax seal stamp set (screw on handle was not threaded correctly and wouldn't screw on straight smh), fabric marking pencils (not really chalky but more plasticky and literally would not mark lol), a lot of these things happen to be their own inhouse brands and I think I'm noticing a pattern here. I would not be so upset because they are always willing to take anything back that I don't like or found was defective but they end up putting that stuff back on their shelves and this is not the only location that does this. It is plain dishonest. Another shady thing I noticed was during their holiday sales they advertised one of their in-house brands as 50percent off which I thought was amazing, but the problem came when there's another of their brands with nearly identical name ( no joke like a few letters different) that was NOT on sale but hanging right next to it. Well you can guess my disappointment came when the gal was ringing me up and I could see that nearly everything I had picked up turned out to not be on sale at all, I just left that stuff because it was pretty overpriced and I would not have considered buying it unless it was on sale. I love this store... I can be here for a couple of hours just looking around ( and no not to build anything or make anything I am not that crafty) I just enjoy looking around. Today, as I look around. It's already Christmas! And.... that's only in a couple of aisles . If you walk a bit more there will be decorations for fall and Halloween. Wow! Pretty cool. And of course you'll find a whole lot of stuff to buy for your house that if you do buy because it looks soo good but you actually don't know where to put them. Let alone you have no idea how you're going to explain to your husband what you bought again this time of something you don't need but simply because you just want it. Hehege. Hobby Libby has seen the last of me. Today I was in there just looking for some good finds. There were 2 aisles with signs that read "75% off the ticketed price". All items had a red price sticker on them and the way I understood it was the 75% would be taken off the sticker price. I picked up a few items and when I went to the cashier, the red sticker price rang up. I explained that the 75% off should pertain to the MARKED price and she said the red sticker price was 75% off the original price. I told her the sign did not say off the original price, it said off the marked price. I spike to a manager about it and she (with a bit of an attitude) told me that corporate supplies the signs for the store and it wasn't her fault I misunderstood it. See ya, Hobby Lobby! I love this store, but man, the professionalism of the employees in front of customers is frightening. On three separate occasions, I've heard employees cussing loudly and talking poorly about other store employees or managers... using really derogatory terms. I had to move aisles so my child didn't hear it. On another occasion, a supervisor was directing employees to keep unboxing product because they were just standing there talking. The employee was super loud and disrespect to the supervisor saying... 'My tolerance level and give-a-shit meter is at 0.' The supervisor didn't know what to do and just walked away. I was appalled. If there's disrespect amongst the staff it needs to be at least kept behind doors. It's a continual thing. I feel bad for those supervisors. read more

My elderly mother just had 2 of her debit cards stolen out of her purse at the Henderson Hobby Lobby. Of course she thought she misplaced them but whoever stole them headed to the Apple store. Please be careful when shopping. She is completely shaken up. read more

This is a great store for home decor and craft supplies. A lot of fabrics, ribbons, wreaths, artificial flowers & seasonal items. A lot of free parking nearby. There usually are not long lines at the register & they have coupons online as well as many sales in-store. The only issue I notice is lack of customer service while shopping. i am personally a fan of hobby lobby but definitely not this location. the way things are ran here are all out of order. the management is terrible. seems like management doesn't treat their workers fairly. tried speaking to manager under the name kinsely and he totally looked bothered. i hope he doesn't treat his workers and other customers the same way he treated me. read more

This store is huge. I mean big. I could get lost in it. I had no idea where to start and had a hard time finding associates to help me. However, once I did find an associate, he was eager to assist. He didn't get me to exactly what I needed but he got me pretty close and after I looked in the section for a bit I found what I wanted. So in the end, he could have been more helpful but I understand he was trying to assist 3 people at the same time. So maybe they just need more associates on the floor. I originally called Hobby Lobby over the phone. I wasn't sure what I needed but was able to explain to the girl on the phone what I wanted to do and she was able to tell me what they had. I told her I wanted some kind of poster board or paper that was about 4'x6' and use it for a background. She told me they carried photo backdrops in that size and also told me about butcher paper. She gave me alternatives to make it budget friendly and I must say she provided a great customer service experience. I called other craft stores and did not receive the same experience. I simply got "we don't carry that." and there was no attempt to really service or help me. I will come back to Hobby Lobby. Hobby Lobby is definitely more exciting than a trip to Michael's or Joann's. This location is in the same shopping center as Target making it dangerously easy to run in after a Target trip. The parking lot is huge so parking is never a hassle. Hobby Lobby can provide hours of entertainment. When my mom comes to visit we spend about three hours here walking every single aisle since she doesn't have one in Ohio. This is one of my first stops when shopping for home décor and seasonal home décor. The selection here is huge. They also frequently run sales making it affordable and they offer online coupons for regularly priced items. Since they are a Hobby store I find that they offer a more consistent selection of scrapbooking and card making supplies. Michael's is decreasing their selection of these items to follow trends, but Hobby Lobby still has everything I need. They also carry awesome party supplies like tableware and décor. read more

Today I experienced the WORST customer service from a manager and front-end manager all because I'm disabled and they were crowded. I informed the front-end manager I had a return and I was picking up a couple of things, as soon as I entered the store. I told her I couldn't stand for long periods as I would pass out which was the case last month in that very location! I went and got my items and stood in a long line just like everywhere else when I got to the register the girl said returns are only at the first register. I asked her to call the manager to make an exception as there was no way I could have stood in another long line the manager came and told me you know the drill returns are on register #1 only! I asked if he could make an exception so I don't pass out again he got smart. See you can afford to do that as long as your health is good but just keep living! Finally, after chasting me he asked someone to assist me when he could have done that in the very beginning! I let him know if I passed out in the store it would have been a bigger problem. Having emergency medical come in to assist someone and get them out of the store is way more difficult. Since he has no idea how to assist someone who's disabled other stores bring me a chair to sit down as I move through long lines. I said maybe you all should consider having a special line for your disabled senior citizens which he responded "We're not going to make a special line just for YOU." Sir who trained you I haven't had a problem at bigger stores they usually just get me a chair and I move right along with the rest of the customers and now and then they just take me to a special line and check me out. read more

I LOVE this place!! I could spend all day in here eyeing up all the most beautiful home furnishings, fabrics, floral and frames. The prices are amazing and there are always coupons to help you to save even more for an amazing deal. Staff are very friendly and helpful and what I absolutely love is that there are little info slips around the store near certain items that give you inspiration for what you can make with a simple product. I loved coming here until today, lady in front of me no mask on holding her shirt to her face, clearly she was sick as a dog her nose was red and crusty she looked overall pale as well. And your poor associates kept apologizing to me as they seen me staring down this lady as she's rubbing her nose and fact trying to hold her pink tank top up to her nose, they told me how your company refuses to refuse service to those not wearing a mask even after it is mandated that we must wear one??? Holiday or home decor, I can find just about anything! Hobby Lobby is one of those stores that has something on sale. Their prices are good and reasonable. Especially during the holidays I love to shop here for their variety. For me it always seems to be one of those places I can wander and browse. The store is well designed and organized. Some of their displays give you some fun ideas of coordination. If you're driving around Stephanie & Sunset, you can't miss it. They have more than plenty of parking for their guests. If I could give this place 0 stars or even negative I would after what just happened here. This is the 2nd time this store has profiled me by how I look. I was shopping and walking through the aisles browsing for gifts for my god daughter. My boyfriend met me inside after being at Ross. I didn't have my phone with me so he was running around the store trying to find me. Finally, found me and I'm just about ready to leave when I saw a fluffy chair ive been wanting. Only one of the chairs had a discount tag on it so I stopped an employee to ask about it and then she told me and then I had one more question about jewelry holders so she took me a couple isles down to see them. Then all of a sudden this Karen comes up to us and accuses us of stealing in front of the whole store! After I embarrassed her and proved her wrong she didn't even apologize, she then proceeds to tell us we're making customers uncomfortable and we need to leave immediately. Like I'm sorry that I'm so ridiculously good looking and everyone is clearly jealous of me but to accuse me of stealing and then be wrong about that so next you throw me out! I'm literally livid at this point cause I wanted that chair! So since I'm being kicked out I handed the chair to her which she doesn't grab and it drops to the floor. Typical Karen starts screaming I threw the chair at her and starts acting like a completely looney bird saying "you just assaulted me! You're going to jail!" I don't know which was more embarrassing her acting as if she was injured by a fluffy chair or the fact that her eyebrows were about ready to fly off her face. So anyways I start leaving the store and I'm sure you can guess what Karen does next.. pulls out her camera to start filming us (I guess she wanted video of me to look at later on so she can envy me while at home.) As the typical Karen behavior she continues to insult us and says I bet you guys don't even have a car.. Then she goes back to the chair toss/throw comments again still deciding which one is going to sound better for when the cops come because yes, you guessed it!! Karen is on the phone with the police giving a description of what my perfect self looks like.. then she proceeds to tell me her family are police and I'm just like wow Karen you are so cool! I have family that are police as well and then she says who (as if she would know who I'm talking about lol) so I throw out a name of freshly retired police captain which again she's stumped so she literally says well what's his P# I'm dying laughing by now because of how comical this has become and how I just realized that I'm arguing with a wanna be store cop who most likely flunked her police exams cause of how psychotic she is. She eventually realizes how dumb she is and then leaves and walks her pathetic crushed to the earths core ego back to the store. read more

I always assumed because of the name, that this place was more about models planes and things. I had the hugest crush on it when I found out a couple months ago that it was just a huge craft store that also has a lot of nice home decor stuff. Pricing is a little high, but like apparently all other craft stores, they have an endless supply of 40-50% coupons. I think I'm over my crush due to my first experience trying to return something. So heads up - they won't let you return something if they already have a full inventory on the floor. Supposedly because they have a limited storage area in the back, but I'm really not sure how that's supposed to be my problem. I bought a picture frame from this same store, returned it in the original packaging, with a receipt, and within the return period. And yet this is the BS answer I was told, and the manager backed it up - citing the ridiculous fine print on their receipt saying they have the right to refuse returns for any reason. That disclaimer usually applies to people trying to return obviously used underwear or a half eaten candy bar, not a perfectly intact picture frame. They may have cute decor stuff, but I won't be back simply due to their stupid return policy. And as far as crafty things go, Michaels and Joann's has a better selection in general anyway. read more

I'm done with this location. My last visit was not the first time I felt I was being treated like a criminal, but it was the first time they were so blatantly obvious about it. I was poring over both aisles of the jewelry section, looking for beads and findings. As I was comparing strands of beads and trying to come up with design ideas for my current projects, I heard over the intercom that a security check was needed in jewelry. I'd heard the same on previous visits; my guess is that it's their way of warning us potential thieves that we're being closely watched. And even though I was clearly the only customer in that section, I shrugged it off as I had no intention of doing anything wrong. As I continued my search for the pieces I needed, I heard the manager from the next aisle over loudly telling an employee to "call the HENDERSON police." Well, that's a new one! I could feel myself being watched as employees kept pacing past the aisles I was in, avoiding direct eye contact. Not one offered to help me find what I was looking for, including the manager that kept hovering around the area. Before I finished finding my selections, someone announced over the intercom that "the HENDERSON police have been called." I secretly hoped that the police -- no, that the HENDERSON police (as they kept awkwardly emphasizing, I have no idea why) would indeed show up to question me so the employees could look like complete idiots, but alas, apparently it was just an empty threat to scare me off. I'm sorry to say that it worked, as I won't be returning. I probably should have just thrown my selections on the floor and walked out, but I'd already spent so much time being spied on that it seemed a shame to let them think I was trying to leave the store without paying for anything. I'll be doing my jewelry supply shopping at Michaels and Jo-Ann from now on when I'm in the Henderson area, where no one passive-aggressively threatens to call the police on a paying customer. read more

A great craft/home store for everything and anything that you may need to decorate your house or add a little bit of sparkle to your life! Hobby Lobby is a huge store with a lot of selection: they have crafts, stickers, boxes, paint, frames, home items, fabric, fake flowers, beads, etc. You name it, they probably have it. Some tips: Never fail to check the online coupons! Yes, they do have micro glitter! Pricing ranges and depends, but it's generally cheaper than other craft stores. A note: Everything inside the store was organized, but not everything was top quality. For example, some of the wood pieces were too fragile to be used for their purpose and basically just all fell apart. Also, it does take a while for them to ring you up at the register. I felt like I was there forever! If you cannot find what you're looking for, Michaels and Jo-Ann's are very very close by! But, Hobby Lobby, can I just ask...why isn't there one of you closer to me?!?! It's a pretty far drive to all HL locations from North LV. Hobby Lobby is overall a good store; I would check here first to save some bucks & keep your wallet in tip top shape!!! read more

This place has everything except good customer service. I went in on a Saturday with my son to get some stuff for a school project, and I don't know if they were busier than normal or just understaffed, but this place had some of the worst customer service I've had in a while. The clerk that came to get some items out of a locked case couldn't spare a moment to answer my questions, and the cashier was distracted and just sort of, "Oh, that's nice." when I tried to make small talk. The prices were insane, especially for the level of service we received. Doesn't matter that they're closer to my house, the service is definitely not worth it. :( read more
