Phone delivery order for Thanksgiving dinner.

We ordered off their brochure at our hotel. The food did not arrive hot. The market price lobster for $34+ was disappointing/ where was the lobster meat? I saw and tasted basically shell. The shrimp came heavily battetef and looked like an overstuffed onion ring. The sauce was tasty, Their white rice and Happy family entree with chicken, beef, shrimp and scallops with vegetables was the best of the main dishes. The saving grace were three fortune cookies, 2 paper plates and 3 wooden chopsticks.

    great drink

Got their lunch special takeout which was a pretty great deal for only about $12 they gave a generous serving of pork fried rice and kung pao chicken. The food came out quick, only waited about 5-10 minutes after ordering. The inside has a bar with sports playing as well as some small seating tables. The pork in the fried rice was juicy and fatty and the fried rice was not dry. Note that there were some ridges in the takeout container so it may seem like more in the photo, but it was still a generous portion. The crab rangoons were not greasy and felt like they were baked, good amount of stuffing. Will definitely be back to have their lunch special deals!

Ho Win is the Chelsea / Everett staple of American chinese food. This place always hits the spot whenever my family and I just want some good old American Chinese take out. What more could you ask for ? Delicious fresh hot food and friendly service is what you'll get here. Definitely a forever local favorite.

Review of Chung Wag - A "Wag" of Disappointment…read more Rating: 2.4 - It's cheap Chinese food--set your expectations accordingly, but honestly? Skip this place. Ah, Chung Wag in Chelsea--where the décor is stuck in a 70s time warp, the cash-only policy hits harder than a surprise MSG headache, and the food... well, let's just say my taste buds filed a complaint. It was a rainy Friday night, and the cravings hit--the kind only cheap, greasy, glorious Asian food can satisfy. Apple Maps whispered sweet nothings about Chung Wag being a 7-minute drive away, with prices that screamed "Yes, you can afford rent AND takeout!" Foolish optimism, thy name is hunger. The vibe inside was part retro diner, part chaotic takeout hub--like if a Wong Kar-wai film had a budget cut. People milled about, some waiting for orders, others staring at the menu like it was the 'I Ching' (spoiler: no fortunes were revealed). After a quick cash-for-food exchange (pro tip: bring bills, not dreams), I was back in my car, assaulted by an aroma so strong it could've cleared my sinuses AND my regrets. Alas, the excitement was shorter than a takeout chopstick: - Queen's Chicken Curry Onions? More like Boiled chicken with Suspicious Veggies--those were not onions, my dude. - Scallion Pancake? Staler than bread left out two weeks ago. - Crab Rangoon? Packed with more garlic than two roasted vampire repellents. - Fried Chicken Fingers? The lone survivor--because even Chung Wag can't ruin deep-fried nostalgia. Our quest for good-cheap Asian food continues, but Chung Wag? More like Chung Nah.

I forgot how swanky looking the place was, and that still impressed. -- Egg Rolls: Cradled in a wicker basket, crisp on the outside, celery, and pork on the inside, a bit dry, but good flavor. A little above average. -- Spare Ribs on the bone: Painted on every surface with a nice char to complement the glaze. A thicker cut than most. Just like last time, they looked like a reheat, but still had very good texture (tender, moist) and decent enough flavor. Above average. -- Pork Egg Foo Yong: A trio of thick patties flooded with light brown sauce. Good crispness underneath. Soft and tender with big chunks of pork that wasn't dried out. Good overall flavor from the fry, the onions, and the pork, as well as the sauce. Near-elite to elite. -- Kung Pao Chicken: A little different here, with much larger shreds of chicken, a little darker than most, less celery and peanuts than most, a profusion of peppers, and pleasing spiciness to the soy-based sauce. Very enjoyable. Above average to well above average. -- Peking Noodles: A little different, and in a good way. More of a fine shred than a crumble, much spicier, and a little gloppier. Good feel to the egg noodles. I don't get this dish often enough to compare, but I enjoyed it. No OMG moments, but no complaints. Solid lunch, flavorful entrees, and I departed with a higher opinion than before. Upping to 4 stars.

If I ever do this again, assume I've given up on life. The wonton soup arrived with broccoli floating in it like someone panicked mid‑recipe and just started throwing produce at the pot. It tasted like someone boiled disappointment until it begged for mercy. I didn't know a liquid could taste like failure, but this soup managed it. The spring roll? Imagine chewing on a rolled‑up landscaping project. Zero flavor. Zero effort. Zero hope. I've had more satisfying bites accidentally inhaling air. And the bourbon chicken... sweet in the way a melted Halloween candy found under a car seat is sweet. It tasted like someone whispered the word "bourbon" over a bucket of sugar and called it a day. I've eaten gas station food that felt more handcrafted. This wasn't a meal. It was a cry for help from a kitchen that has clearly stopped believing in itself.

Everything was okay, although the ingredients were definitely on the cheap side. The soup was about a step up from canned and the tempura shrimp roll was a-okay. The dum sum for two was middling with the bao being a version I didn't care for and the dumplings being on the bland side. All in all, we wouldn't order again, but it wasn't bad for late night very desperate fare.
