Luv this place!!! Pizza was great. Not your usual blab blah pizza. Pepperoni and sausage had a little more kick to the taste then the norm. Crust not to thick or too thin. Generous slices. Caesar salad was good with a lightly baked piece of sourdough bread on the side. They make their homemade bread on site!!! It's a family run business. They are nice and personable. The mom even baked cookies that were so tasty. On top of everything they are open until 2am Friday's and Saturdays!!! Nice looking wine menu and outdoor seating make me believe this place will become a wine country favorite. It's about time Sebastopol has something available after midnight. This was my first time going here and we ordered the taco salad (made vegan, they were totally cool about that) and a 12in vegan pizza with local fresh black trumpet and hedgehog mushrooms! So cool to have ingredients like that at a pizza place. The people who worked the front house were all genuinely friendly and seemed to work well together, setting a relaxed atmosphere for the place. They also repeatedly went out of their way to help customers have a great experience. I really enjoyed the pizza too! Definitely more of a thin crust, almost New York style, which I prefer, and the salad was like nachos on a plate with lots of fresh romaine. Very tasty! This is our first time here. Ordered the lunch special-slice with small salad. I chose the Combo pizza and a Greek salad. The salad is very large for a small! Very fresh with spinach as well as romaine, excellent feta and olives. Also had a nice dolmas on top. Could have used a bit more dressing. The combo pizza slice was good and hot when it arrived and the crust had a satisfying crunch. But it was a little greasy for me. I thought that Sebastopol had hit market saturation for pizza places but that was before Hippizzaz came to town. Their deep dish pizzas are incredible and their carnitas is some of the best that I have ever had (I know, strange, carnitas at a pizza place, but they definitely know how to make it!). Wanted to give a new local place a try! I ordered it through DoorDash as i wasn't feeling well and waited 1.25 hours for my pizza to arrive, the dasher dropped off a XL combo pizza which is not what i ordered. I ordered a gluten free vegan mozzarella Hawaiian style pizza. I was upset but i know mistakes happen, i called the dasher and Hippizazz about the mistake and the gentleman who answered the phone at the restaurant apologized and said he'd get the pizza right back in the oven and fixed, told me it'd be ready in 20 minutes so just to be sure i waited 30 almost 40 minutes, show up to Hippizzazz to my pizza still not ready or even made yet... now I'm annoyed. I spent $40 to have the wrong pizza delivered and then to drive and pick it up myself. Nothing complimentary was offered for this mess up. Very disappointed.... read more

My family stopped by here because several weeks prior my 4yr old son, who has a strong affinity for words, type, and logos, had shown an intense interest in the name as presented on the exterior of the building. We had some extra time, and pizza was a welcome change in our regular on-the-go food choices. We ordered the Cheesy Pesto Bread Sticks, and a custom deep dish pizza. My wife loves pesto, but that wasn't in the Create Your Own Pizza list, so I asked if we could modify the California Vegetable pizza which includes pesto. All of our pickiness, and my awkwardness, was met with friendly kindness. They were happy to make us whatever we would like. Because of my son's interest, I had an additional motive. I wanted to obtain for him a menu, business card, or anything else that would contain the business name in the appropriate font, and any logo or design that went along with it. I explained my strange request, and the reasons for it. The response was love. They gave me several promotional fliers, and a beautiful artistic capture of the business name, to give to my son. He was thrilled as can be. The food, which also deserves a clear review, was delicious. We aren't fans of thin crust pizza, so we made a good choice going with their deep dish. My wife is accustomed to pizza on what can be described a focaccia bread which is considerably more thick, and I just like plenty of dough. We were not disappointed. The flavors of the toppings, and sauce, were delicious. The toppings were fresh, generously apportioned, and evenly cooked, with that lovely char around the outer edge. The crust was perfectly crispy on the exterior, while still fully cooked, yet soft, inside. The pesto bread sticks, while not the star of this meal, were also delicious, with just the right balance between pesto, and cheese. The added ranch style dressing melted my heart. We have leftovers from yesterdays meal, and I don't know that they will still be around for lunch ;) read more

Food is very good but the service is terrible. I ordered a small pizza and and order of mac n cheese. The guy who took my order said 15 mins. Well half hour later my pizza was done but not the mac. He said that it wasn't ready so I waited another half hour I had to go in and ask and once again they had forgot about me. They pulled the partially burnt mac out of the oven and gave it to me with my cold pizza. He thought he could apologize by offering me a complimentary soda for having to wait an hour for my food. read more

First off--their gluten free crust is excellent. Being that I have tasted many lack-luster gluten free crusts, they've got a really good one. However, the reason I gave this place 2 stars is because they really messed up my order. I ordered a gluten free and VEGAN pizza. When the pizza arrived, I asked the server to confirm that the cheese was VEGAN. The server assured me that it was. As I ate through my slice, I realized that it definitely wasn't dairy free, although she assured me it was!! Bottom line--the servers and kitchen staff need to be more careful. It is dangerous to assure someone that the cheese is dairy free when it isn't. I happen to be vegan because I can't handle dairy well. For their sake, they're lucky I'm not someone who is VERY allergic to dairy. read more

I love the gluten free dough. We usually get the california veg- half mozzarella and half daiya vegan cheese. So glad they have vegan options!!! They're fast and always really nice here. After Reheating our pizza in the oven at home on 400 for about 5 min we actually got the doneness we were aiming for. I can't stand a soggy pizza crust like uhh. I'm still giving four stars because it's one of the best pizza places in the immediate area so I've been told. Ordered a pizza around Valentine's Day with jalapeños, bell pepper, and mushroom with extra sauce and it was good but it could have been better. Like I said it was soft crust and the cheese was white. I should have asked for it to be well done but I forgot. And it came back to bite me in the rear. I was so sad when I saw the pizza because I feel like it had been rushed through the oven or pulled a little earlier than it should have. You know what maybe it was cooked to their time but just not my time. I like a crispy crust like wood fire and maybe this establishment is using a less powerful oven. I wouldn't know because my girlfriend went into pick it up so I was unable to see what they're working with. Next time I'll just ask for well done. Sorry to sound like I'm complaining but I'm totally a pizza snob. OMG!!! These people! I choose to spend my hard earned dollars where I feel the service and the product are both great and this is definitely one of those places. The people in the pics on their website are the same people you see when you walk in. Everyone is so nice, smiles all around. The pizza- go with the deep dish combo, you won't regret it. The caesar salad is really, really good and fresh. All their ingredients are fresh. I ate nothing but pizza for 3 days, it was so good. And very affordable. I work nearby and I am on a limited budget these days so when I do eat out, I often choose Hippizzaz because it won't kill my wallet. Seriously people, try these guys if you haven't already. I had a slice of cheese and a roni let's just say it was my first meal of the day and I left both after a few bites. Couldn't pay me to eat this ! This place is Amazingly Good! When I want people to come with me, I hate to tell them it is "pizza" because this is so far above what other pizza places have. We are working our way through the menu..trying a new one every time. And they are all just as good as the last one. Not greasy, but full of delicious ingredients. Tonight I was Jonesing for the Thai pizza, so we *fudged* and had half Thai and half a new choice...roasted potato. The Thai was still as wonderful, but I think I have Another new favorite! Ok let's get this out of the way the pizza was really good. The service sucked. The people were rude and I didn't feel like I wanted there. I ordered a small Greek pizza for the wife she loved it and said it was amazing. I ordered a medium meat lovers with white sauce. It was alright. The crust and most of the meats were so good buuutttttt the beef ( or sausage I couldn't tell what it was ) was seasoned with this strange chili powder (I think) and that was kinda odd and off putting but not a total deal breaker the sauce was alright allegedly it has three cheeses and is made in house ( according to the person taking my order) but it didn't really taste like any thing. But again not a total deal breaker because the crust and the pepperoni was so good. Will we be going back .... possibly. Hope next time their Staff is less rude and more courteous . read more
