Best donuts you'll have anywhere! Ever! I asked Kim why their donuts are so good. She told me that Hing uses fresh oil every day which is the trick to having the freshest tasting donuts. Very affordable. A definite stop in Bishop.

I always love a good donut shop and this place did not disappoint. I got some of their mochi donuts and I was swooning over the taro, orange and matcha mochi donuts!! You definitely have to come here if you can!

These donuts are crazy good. Got the pepperoni cheese croissants and they're . They literally taste like how a pizzeria smells. Damn delicious. Finished it before I remembered to take pictures for review. Do yourselves a favor and order a bunch of donuts on your way to mammoth. You won't be disappointed.

rasberry jelly donut .... was fine but I really liked the cake donuts: the chocolate with chocolate glaze was pretty good .

tried this local favorite ..... the apple fritter was very crunchy with chunks of apple and a sweet glaze. The interior was moist ...... I can see why this is so popular. I enjoyed the buttermilk bar ..... nice crispy outside with a moist inside. the rasberry jelly donut was fine but I preferred the cake donuts ..... good stop if you're a donut fan. I hear it's a good idea to go early before they sell out of your favorites.

Things to buy here for sure while you're there: - Pull Apart Bread - 8/10: different variations, but all sweet, gooey, decadent. It's like the traditional cinnamon roll's raunchy cousin. - Pastrami sandwich - 10/10: good lord this is delicious. Easily top 5 sandwiches I've ever had. Hefty and filling for sure. The meat isn't your run-of-the-mill, dry, salty pastrami that you'll get at your local deli. They use premium naval cuts that are lightly seasoned, juicy, fatty, and super tender. The Swiss is also soft and spongy, very similar to mozzarella. You can pretty much eat that all by itself. And the rye bread is artisinal elite level, as expected. Freshly baked and super soft. So damn good I nearly schat my pants!! - Original Sheepherder Bread - 8.5/10: 100-plus year-old recipe. Tried and true. Great for sandwiches or even just toasted with whatever spread that floats your boat. Superb. Another thing to note: this place is fully staffed and they have their stuff together. So ordering and getting your stuff goes pretty fast even with the long lines. Super efficient, friendly staff and establishment. A great time was had by all.

We were really glad to find Stellar Brews. I ordered a chai latte and it honestly may be the best I've ever had in my life -- perfectly spiced, not too sweet, and just really comforting. The service from Carlos was great, too. He wasn't overbearing -- just genuinely kind, generous, and attentive in a low-key way that made the space feel welcoming. If you're deciding between the big coffee chains and this place, skip the chains and come here. We'll definitely be back.

The guy in the back offered to add red onion on my bagel and when came out he handed my sister and I two toasted bagels with red onion on them and a side of cream cheese in two cups on top of the bagels. He looked proud of himself like he went over the top by adding onion on it. As a chef, that was laughable to me. Why wouldn't you just add the cream cheese on it too? I definitely won't be going back to that coffee shop again. The food on top of it wasn't good either. The ready to go breakfast burrito was hard and tasted like nothing special. The salsas that they charge 50 cents each was so gross. I don't know how you can mess up salsa, maybe try opening an authentic Hispanic cookbook and do the culture some justice.

Wow what amazing restaurant! We went to the former place and loved it…read more Happy to find out all pasta and sauces are freshly made in-house,and HUGE pizza oven inside restaurant. We had the SALUMI red sauce pizza and the RIGATONI with arrabbiata sauce. For dessert we shared the salted carmel gelato with some type of donut.Everything was amazing! Fantastic service and fun vibe. Noisy but not bad at all.Our server said they are better than the former restaurant,so true! Carb-loading at altitude, but make it Italian…read more When you're in Mammoth and your body is screaming for carbs after a day on the mountain (or just from walking to your car in ski boots), Vulcania delivers like a nonna who's been waiting all day to feed you. Tucked into the Village right next to Gomez's Mexican Restaurant (which is no slouch itself), this place pulls off that rare trick: it actually feels like a legit Italian escape...just with better snow outside. Let's start where all good decisions begin: pizza as an appetizer. Yes, you heard that right. Their authentic pizza oven isn't just for show--it's the real deal. Thin crust, blistered just enough, and gone in about 90 seconds at our table. No regrets. The tricolore salad is a solid opener--fresh, simple, and a nice way to pretend you're pacing yourself. You're not. Because then comes the main event: Voltaggi-O's. Imagine your childhood love affair with Chef Boyardee's Spaghetti-O's...then imagine it went to culinary school, studied abroad in Naples, and came back with confidence, depth, and a killer wine list. That's this dish. It's nostalgic, elevated, and borderline dangerous in how easy it is to keep eating. And honestly? The staff might be the real MVPs. Servers and bartenders here are five-star across the board--attentive without hovering, smiling like they actually enjoy being there, and full of spot-on recommendations (which, let's be honest, we happily followed). Bottom line: If you're in Mammoth and craving Italian that goes beyond the usual ski-town fare, Vulcania is the move. Come hungry, order the pizza "appetizer" (don't overthink it), and don't you dare skip the Voltaggi-O's. You'll leave full, happy... and already planning your next visit.
