In-town for business and kinda picked at random where I was going to eat. Delicious food, great service, and very clean. Feel like I should buy some lotto tickets, see if my luck continues. Give Himalayan Kitchen a try, you will not regret it. read more

Tasty food, very nice service, simple yet beautiful ambiance and very cost effective.

Beautifully clean and the lunch menu was delicious! I cleaned my plate because the flavors were all so complimentary. They seem to be very careful about spiciness levels. If you want the real deal of spiciness, don't be afraid to just go for it hot. read more

Love this place, the best Nepalese / Indian I've had in marin and probably the Bay Area. It's very standard decor, nothing fancy but perfectly fine..but the food is consistently fantastic! read more

My husband and I stopped by here on our way north from Corte Madera to Cotati and we are so glad we did! Definitely a little gem in a strip mall - delicious food and friendly staff! It's not over the top fancy, but comfortable and spacious with TVs. We loved everything we ordered - papadam, chicken tikka masala, aloo cauli and plain naan. read more

I had the Lamb Korma and Garlic-Cilantro Naan and both were excellent.'my wife had the veggie Momo and the same naan and thought they were excellent also. The service was great and the restaurant was very clean and pleasant. read more

Great food and polite staff. We ordered momos and noodles. Both tasted incredible and the service was fast too

If you like Indian but want to try something new and adventuresome, this is definitely the place for you. The flavors are deep and rich and while there is a large overlap with Indian, Nepalese definitely has its own take. There are also dishes unique to this cuisine--definitely try the momos! Very easy to be vegetarian. The biggest disappointment is that we could not try everything at once! Definitely going back. read more

I just ate dinner here on my birthday, and I'm so glad I chose this place. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. We got a ton of food and drinks that included the momo platter, chicken korma, lamb pharsi, saag paneer, garlic naan, plain naan, Nepalese chow mein, garlic broccoli, Himalayan chiya, and mango lassi. It was all delicious! The staff surprised me with mango ice cream for my birthday, and my family all agreed that it was delectable. We will definitely return to Himalayan Kitchen. read more

Excellent service and many menu choices. Ask the waiter for recommended dishes especially when you don't want very spicy food. They are very accommodating that way. Their butter chicken and garlic naan are out of this world! read more

Got it for takeout and everything was delicious! Garlic naan, butter chicken, chicken kabob, samosa, dumplings....really loved all of it. Will definitely be getting food from there again soon. read more

Fantastic food from a family who clearly cares about quality and their guests' experience. This was our third visit, Himalayan Kitchen is now in our regular rotation. read more

I had dinner there the other night. Unfortunately, we dug right into our food and I didn't take photos! Since it was my first visit, I decided to go with something classic - Chicken Momos and Curry Chicken. Both dishes were excellent and very tasty! Also had a glass of Malvasia Bianco - a nice accompaniment to the spicy curry. The service was excellent, the place was very clean and the tables were not so close together. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other dishes! read more

Excellent food, service and a good value. I am so happy to have a quality Himalayan restaurant in Marin.

Been a few times now and have not been disappointed. Food has lots of flavor and portion size is decent for price. Overall very good experience and will be a regular! read more

I am so glad we decided to check this out. The portions were very generous and we shared everything. We got the med daal soup, the vegetable dumplings and the mixed grill tandoori. All of them were delicious and the service was helpful and friendly. Looking forward to our next visit and trying other items on the menu. read more

Note that they NO LONGER have lunch combinations. Still the food was excellent: two of us shared one order of samosas and 1 regular order of chicken tikka masala. It was enough. read more

So great to have this new restaurant in the neighborhood. Excellent food, pleasant, ambience, good service. Seems to be run by nice people. And great vegan options This is my second time here in four days. read more

Incredible meal, flavors were complex, spice was just right, we tried almost everything on the menu (slight exaggeration, but we ordered a lot). Everything was delicious. The service was outstanding, friendly, warm. Great space between the tables. Don't discount this one just because it's in a strip mall. read more

A hidden gem in Marin. It truly doesn't get enough recognition. Upon arriving it may seem unassuming, but it is some of the best Indian food I have ever had. The Aloo Gobi, Paneer Tikka masala, snd Bengan Bhartha are my favorites (best aloo gobi i have ever had). Skip the line at Lotus and drive a few minutes for somewhere that tastes better and is less greasy. So delicious, I keep coming back time and time again! read more

Food is delicious - good portions, perfectly seasoned naan, and they have vegetarian momos! Food was brought out promptly but not in a rush, with kind servers. So glad this is in the community! read more

This food was sooo good! I loved the lentil soup and my Nepalese style fish in spinach dish. And the service was lovely. I can't wait to go back! read more

Best Indian food around here! There biryani is a go to. Fresh and fragrant every time. There place is always clean and service is always good. No complaints here read more

Delicious lentil soup and tandoori! Very flavorful and quality ingredients. Delivers well too

Great food and very nice service. New go to restaurant in the area. We ordered the sizzling chicken and noodles and everything was tasty.

We ordered chicken Tikka Masala, palak paneer, brown rice, naan and gulab jamun. We felt the food was good, but missing something. I wish there was tamarind sauce included or some sort of Indian hot sauce or spices. Just needed a lot more flavor. We will give this restaurant another try in a few months. It's newish, so probably needs some time to get it's bearings. read more

Food was great and the service was nice! Except now they are closed for lunch and open for dinner. The nan is freshly baked and is brushed with butter during the baking process. Everything is fresh and made to order, yummy for my tummy! read more

Friendly staff, clean place, but lunch prices are HIGH. Stirfried veggies, rice plus cup of tea equals $30 -with tax and tip it was $39!!! I would pay that for something more creative and/ or tasteful (and have) but this was standard fare, nothing special. Cannot recommend for non meat eaters. read more

Excellent food. It's in a plaza mall/strip close to Trader Jo's. The ambiance is just ok but we really enjoyed our meals there.

Delicious chicken biryani and raita. The flavors are a little different than most other Indian restaurants that I have tried, which is a welcome change of pace. Very friendly service and allergen aware. Excited to try other items. read more

Wow! Might be the best Indian food in Marin. My lamb curry was perfectly spiced and so delicious I was scraping the bowl. Paired with a kingfisher and some Kashmiri naan, it was out of this world read more

I was working in San Rafael and wanted to pick up some Indian food for dinner. Based on the reviews I chose Masala Kitchen. Hard to believe all the reviews were 5 star but now I understand why!!!! First off, the on line ordering interface was easy and I was able to pick the time to pick-up. It was ready exactly the time I asked! I had Palak Paneer, Butter Chicken ( Makhani ) Naan, and Biriani. It was all the best I have had in a long time. It was even still warm when I got back to Novato. The only thing I would do differently would be to ask for mild Biriani....my fault, they say it is hot. but still delicious. I look forward to trying some of the other offerings. So far, the best Indian restaurant in Marin! Thank you!!!!!! read more

I lived to give 5 star but I kept one . I order chicken chowmein but test of chicken is solid with out salt and spice . I m little disappointed with flavor and test of Nepali style chowmein. Hopefully it will be better next time . Thank you read more
