I ordered the chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and lamb samosa.. the prices were about average, around $16 for the curry and about $8 for 2 pretty good sized samosas that were filled to the brim with lamb. Everything i had was very good, and I was only able to eat about half, so I had plenty of leftovers. The tikka masala was very flavorful and the chicken was tender. The Samosa was crispy on the outside and the lamb inside was seasoned well. I loved the garlic naan, and everything was very fresh (pro tip - I put the naan in an air fryer to reheat it the next day, just for about a minute, and it came out tasting like it had just been made fresh!) I will definitely come back here again, and look forward to trying more items on the menu. You are lucky if this place is near you, so if you have not gone yet, I'd make it a point too.

First time here- what a gem! Flavorful, best naan I have ever eaten. As vegan, I was really impressed with the vast selection of items. We had the veggie pakoras- light and fluffy; the rice and Mushroom Tikka Masala and Aloo Gobi was brought out piping hot and delicious. The pickles were spiced perfectly and man, the 911 sauce kicks butt! I love it hot! Did I mention the naan? The place was tastefully decorated and the servers were very attentive! Enough food for at least two more meals as take away, and priced right! The bill came to $30.00. If you want superb Nepal food, run, don't walk to Encinitas' Himalayan Kitchen. read more

I have now eaten at Himalayan Kitchen around 10 times and felt it was overdue to leave a review. First of all, they serve a great mix of both Nepali and Indian cuisine. The dishes are delicious and served by a great staff headed by Sharda, the owner. Many of the staff are from Nepal and therefore serve authentic food. If you want more Nepali, try the dhal bhat (lentils with rice) or the Tibetan momos which are like potstickers. All hand made. Plus, the staff are extremely friendly and service focused. Everything was so delicious and fresh . I loved Himalayan food but this is the best one. Everyone were so friendly and caring . I highly recommend this place.
