Chicken noodle soup. I put saltines in it to try to absorb some oil. It was a waste of perfectly good saltines.

Horrible! I got chicken noodle soup. The "chicken" in the chicken soup was brown. But an off-putting brown like a cross between roast beef and pork. Not surprisingly, aside from having "chicken" trouble the broth was oily and flavorless. But despite being awful, the chicken soup was light years better than my husband's spaghetti and meatballs. It was possibly the worst thing I've ever tried. The meatballs, and I use the term loosely because I'm not completely sure they were made of meat, we're both sweet and wet tasting. The spaghetti tasted rubbery and old. I actually couldn't bring myself to swallow any of it. I had to spit it out. And even more insulting, the prices are crazy! Just save yourself, order from door dash or grub hub. The only bright spot was the waitress. She was very nice.

I ordered the mash potatoes, chicken Caesar wrap, spaghetti and meatballs, and mussels for take out. Everything was delicious. The sauce that the mussels were cooked in was glorious. We didn't have enough bread to dip into the sauce sadly. These were all great food selections. I just had a discrepancy on the bill where the price is not matching the menu. Other than that issue, everything was great. We had $30 credit from the hotel to spend and we chose this place!

I haven't eaten or ordered, yet. Good selection of beer and drinks. Nice staff. Expensive menu out of convenience.

Protein bowl with salmon

Stopped by for dinner after checking in because I was incredibly too tired to try to go through the hassle to find somewhere to eat. Decided on eating here, but ordered to-go since the atmosphere wasn't as lively as I'd like to warrant dining-in at the time. It was also fairly cold inside the restaurant which made the decision to eat in my room a bit more appealing at the time. I ordered the protein bowl with salmon and it was incredibly delicious and filling. I was definitely not expecting for it to look as beautiful as it did to-go so it definitely was a good surprised. The flavors were overall good, with the salmon being a bit over-charred from the grill but honestly it wasn't a big deal. Would definitely order again. Healthy, fresh & flavorful. Another downside is that there is an automatic gratuity charged even on to-go orders, but being that the meal turned out well and came out on time I can't complain. Would definitely come again.

The food is SPECTACULAR and the service is great!! Ryan was very friendly, attentive, and offered suggestions. His suggestions were on point and did NOT disappoint!

We were in town for an award ceremony my son was having at this hotel. Since we were famished decided to have a quick dinner in the lobby at American Grill. I ordered their "award winning" chili soup and I was disappointingly astonished that all it pretty much consisted of was ground beef in oil. I did not expect award winning to disclude any type of beans, veggies, and or broth. If your into "just meat" this is for you. I on the other hand regretted picking it and after about 3 bites I had to look away. My hubby got the chicken noodle and let's just say it wasn't anything to write home about either. In retrospect I should have let the server know to switch it out for something else but didn't think about it at the time and probably didn't feel like going through the motions. When I first sat down, I also ordered a cosmo (forget the exact name but taste like watermelon juice) and this was pretty good as well as pretty sweet, they do put the lime on the side which is a nice touch to balance it. All in all, this spot to me- is way too pricey and cannot justify at all what I ate! Byeee!

The Big Easy burger with vegetables and no bun. Very good!

We really enjoyed the burgers. Friendly service and yummy food! The vegetables were sooo good!! The food came out hot and fresh. Customizations were followed exactly! We will come back here if we're ever in the area again.

Black Mussels

American Grill is located within the DoubleTree at the Entrance to Universal Studios. They have indoor seating, bar seats, and outdoor seating. They offer unique dishes and traditional American cuisine. They do get busy especially if the hotel is hosting an event/group. It took a while for us to reach the bar and then get an employee's attention in order to place an order. Then we had to return to check on our order since it was taking a while. Once ready, we took our food outside and dined by the pool. We ordered a burger and the black mussels. The mussels were interesting since they were served in a Chardonnay garlic licorice sauce. I enjoyed them since I hadn't tried that combination of flavors before. Prices are high, but typical for hotel restaurants. The portions were reasonable and food quality fair. We enjoyed our meal and would recommend this restaurant to those staying at the DoubleTree.

We arrived around 5pm and we were able to pick where we sat. We sat at one of the booths and Brian was our oh so awesome server. He came over with a smile and a run down of what's good. We started with cocktails, we both ordered The Elderberry, it was perfect & so refreshing. For our entrees, we had both of the burgers on the HH menu, the Small Batch Whiskey and the Small Batch Lassahn. We also ordered The Salmon burger. For sides we had the regular fries and the Parmesan truffle fries. Everything was soooooo good. The beef burgers were seasoned so perfectly, and cooked medium as we requested. Every bite made my taste buds dance. The truffle fries were so good, I almost ordered more. The garlic aioli is a must for dipping your fries in. The Whiskey has lots of seating, tables, booths and bar seating. There's lots of pictures on the walls and tvs. It's a vibe for sure. I'm so glad we had lunch at The Whiskey and will definitely go back the next time we are in Orlando. Thanks Brian for making our experience awesome!

The vibe here is one of my favorite parts. It's the perfect mix of laid-back, fun, and welcoming, making it such a great spot to hang out and unwind after a long day. The Black N' Bleu burger with sweet potato fries is absolutely incredible and easily one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and the sweet potato fries are the perfect addition. I've also tried the War Pig burger and oh my... SO good. Honestly, everything I've tried so far has been amazing. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and consistency keep me coming back, and I already know this is going to stay in my regular dinner rotation. Can't wait to come back again!

Taste: 4/5 Value:…read more4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Pretty solid burger spot that, as the name suggests, lets you fully customize your burger. They offer beef, chicken, Impossible, and veggie patties, along with a wide variety of cheeses and buns to choose from. My Impossible Burger was tasty, but I'm not sure it quite justified the price. On our first visit, I got a very impressive looking shake loaded with toppings, unfortunately it wasn't on the menu this time around. It's not my top pick for burgers, but it's definitely not a bad option either.

To my surprise, I was disappointed by the food. I got the loaded frings and a 5 x 5 burger. I believe the burger is relatively new, since it wasn't on any of the pictures of their menu on Google. Ambiance: The staff was friendly enough and I do like the fact that you can see them cooking the burgers in front of you. However, looking around at the restaurant, it looks like there was no upkeep. There were broken tiles, tables weren't cleaned, and I believe there might have been mold when I was filling my water cup at the ice machine, like visibly on the spout. Food: Loaded frings- I'm not sure how you mess this one up, but they somehow did it. The fries were overcooked and the bacon was fried to hell. I think you can actually see how burnt the bacon was in the pictures. It tasted like charcoal. Lastly, the fries were completely soaked in cheese sauce, which I'm guessing was from a can. It tasted like the cheese you'd have at state fairs, except more watery. There was more sauce than fries and onion rings! I should have taken a picture after eating half of the fries. I could not eat the bottom half of the frings because it was all soggy Burger- the same cooked-to-hell bacon was used on the burger. Not much else need to say about that. Looking at the picture of the burger, you'd think that the patties were way overcooked as well. That was not entirely the case. The patties weren't extra dry, but they weren't as juicy as I would have liked a burger to be. I'd say it was just okay. Maybe a half step below average. I really wanted to like this place, but I wasn't able to. I'm not sure if I came by on an odd day, because the reviews say otherwise. I really hope management can fix these issues.

When I asked if the kids ice cream could come with no sprinkles the staff refused stating they were premade and if she couldn't have sprinkles there was chocolate. We also asked them to hold the ice cream until we were done our meal and although she said that was fine it still came out on our tray. The food was subpar at best (except the fries, those were great but honestly how do you mess up fries). The burgers were dry, very salty, and more burnt around the edges than a smash burger should be. If you're between Freddy's or Culver's, always choose Culver's.
