Food was outstanding! Service outstanding, ambiance is ok if you get there early. The space feels a bit close with more people there however it is ok. We had the bone in chicken and waffles which was great. The chicken was well seasoned, the strawberry butter was perfect and the sweet and spicy syrup is literally the Louisiana hotsauce on the table witj the syrup mixed together. Where do I start? First, the booth they sat us at was FILTHY! I literally sat down and leaned against it and my shirt STUCK to the back of the booth. I waited for someone to wipe it down and even said multiple times it was dirty. Food was all over it, and on the floor. My son ended up wiping it out with his hands as best he could. There was still food in all the crevices surround the booth because they have a wooden lil around it. So I got to sit in a very uncomfortable position because I couldn't lean back. Then a customer came into the booth behind me and when he sat down it literally lifted us into the table. The menus were also sticky and filthy. So, we ordered and it was a disaster. My waffle was wrong. I said no butter, no powdered sugar, no bananas and I asked if I could have blueberries instead of bananas. The waiter said yes I could substitute. Then I asked for hash browns extra crispy. My son ordered chicken tenders and fries. His chicken was so burned it has black parts ALL OVER THEM! My waffle had all the things I said no to, and then he said I wasn't allowed to have blueberries, even though he had said I could substitute. So I had to remake my waffle correctly and they served me a raw waffle the second time. Also the hash browns were black on top and the inside was still raw. I said please take the food off my check because we weren't going to eat it and he only took the waffle off. I guess he expected me to eat raw hash browns and black chicken. They didn't even offer to remake the chicken tenders. Very disappointing experience. The server wasn't apologetic at all. We talked to him several times trying to get his attention to fix it, and he walked off every time, not acknowledging us. We were trying to make sure he heard our order because we weee tying to make sure food didn't get wasted, if he didn't put the order in correctly. I understand when you are busy, but because he ignored us multiple times the orders were wrong and food was wasted. Don't think we will return. Horrible experience. I don't recommend this place at all. I understand things are wrong and when that happens the least you can do is apologize and try to make it right. They only tried to fix my waffle and then it came back out raw. It was so gross I spit the bite out because it was nothing but raw batter. At least apologize! Didn't get any part of our order right, no apology, and we had to skip eating. We were both starving walking out of there. read more

Metro Diner breakfast is a solid choice. Large portions and tasty eggs and ingredients. I wasn't expecting to be so impressed with the breakfast pizza! Wish I wouldn't have shared that with my husband and got that as a meal. Hollandaise sauce, pesto, hash browns, bacon, cheese, eggs on a light and thin flatbread that was layered with flavor! $11.99 price was so worth it and hope it goes permanently on the menu. Their black coffee isn't bad, needs to be a bit stronger. Friendly service - all around a solid place for a meal with the family. read more

This is a diner chain. It was actually really good. A tad bit too much of the sauce on the grits and shrimp. But I ate every single bite so not complaining. My aunt had salmon and thought she ordered reg rice but the rice is actually a medley. She did not like it...it didn't even look appealing and she traded it for grits. The waitress was very attentive and friendly! Place was clean and I really enjoyed our conversation time. Came in with a large group and were able to get seated quickly. Service was attentive and prompt with all aspects of our dining experience. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant with avocado side. When it was brought out the server was not happy with my side so she told me to wait and brought be fresh and better looking avocado with my meal. The food was cooked to order and I enjoyed my breakfast sandwich. The kids had the waffles and they really enjoyed them and had clean plates at the end of the meal. read more

Small town diner in Orlando area. And it claims it's where the locals eat. It was delicious. Very quaint with the checkered floor and comfortable seats. Our server Deria was super! She knew her stuff. And sadly had to break my heart with the mimosa flight not being available Sunday mornings. I ordered the avocado breakfast sandwich, and the banana bread pudding because if I couldn't have alcohol I would have sugar. The avocado breakfast sandwich came with mayo and i didn't want the two creamy textures in my sandwich, so I asked for it to be taken off. It sadly came with it on the sandwich. Not a huge deal, didn't ruin the experience. I didn't finish it because it was huge and asked for a box, the box had a long black hair in it. I took it out but then since the sever was still there I asked for a new one. She apologized and got me a new box. I just wasn't really happy with that aspect. The banana bread pudding was wonderful. The added bananas and whipped cream was perfect. All in all a wonderful experience that had issues similar to life. read more

Came to Orlando for my annual cheer competition trip with my daughter and needed a place for breakfast. Metro dinner came up so we gave it a shot. We were seated quickly and our waitress was on it. We ordered the Bissell Breakfast, Croissant French Toast, Philly Cheesesteak and Kids Mac & Cheese. The food was ordered and arrived in about 15 minutes. Quick service indeed. The Bissell Breakfast came with eggs, bacon, biscuit, home fries and a side of croissant French toast. Everything was hot and seasoned well. The croissant French toast was a 10/10 for sure. I'd come back just for this. The bacon was cooked well and the home fries were good. My daughter ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and that was gone within a matter of minutes. The French fries came with Cajun seasoning which was an added bonus. Overall I had a good experience. I'd happily go back as the service was great and the food was hot and came quickly. Well, those raves were well deserved. To begin with, we were greeted upon entering the restaurant. The hostess and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The place rocks a diner vibe that makes you feel nostalgic, happy, and upbeat. Once we were seated our server was on scene post haste. She took our drink orders and answered our questions. We learned that they make everything on site. And the food we had was great! This is a smallish chain and I will definitely keep my eyes open when traveling to different places and visit Metro if they're around. read more

Kinda surprised the high reviews of this place. We stopped in for lunch on a weekend and the place was half full. I could tell the tall guy at the front was multitasking multiple jobs while everyone else was standing around. Neither the dining room nor the bathrooms were that clean but maybe bc the breakfast rush had just completed. We ordered some fried chicken and a club sandwich. The food was better than I thought it would be but the service other than the guy who seated us was not good. We had to ask multiple times for refills and it was like pulling teeth to get more napkins. I had to get them myself. Nah, I'll look elsewhere for eats next time. read more

We stopped in after a gymnastics meet. Four girls ages 11 to 14 and six adult. and then relaxed and talked while the adults finish their meals. The restaurant was clean, warm and inviting as was the server. The service was quick. There was no rush and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The "omelette " was just eggs folded over whatever you asked piled in the omelette. Not mixed in the egg batter. We had a total of 5 graduates ( all friends ) and their families. They wanted to celebrate and at the very last minute we all decided to go get breakfast/brunch. Metro dinner was in the area so we showed up with about 35-40 people and they were able to accommodate our party and we were super grateful ! The service was amazing! Food amazing! What an awesome find. The welcome is super friendly. Great service by Amanda with great recommendations. We went for lunch; started with a Flight of Mimosas that is a great value together with a tasty Poutine. Then shared a plate of a delicious Friend Chicken with mashed potatoes WOW! So big we took some home. Finalized with a spectacular Pumpkin bread pudding. The Manager Valerie is on top of everything. This is the kind of place to go at least weekly.
